Job - Chapter: 13

>
13:1Loe, mine eye hath seene all this, mine eare hath heard and vnderstood it.
13:2What yee know, the same doe I know also, I am not inferiour vnto you.
13:3Surely I would speake to the Almighty, & I desire to reason with God.
13:4But ye are forgers of lies, yee are all Physicians of no value.
13:5O that you would altogether hold your peace, & it should be your wisdome.
13:6Heare now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
13:7Wil you speake wickedly for God? and talke deceitfully for him?
13:8Will ye accept his person? Will yee contend for God?
13:9Is it good that hee should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, doe ye so mocke him?
13:10He will surely reprooue you, if yee doe secretly accept persons.
13:11Shall not his excellencie make you afraid? and his dread fall vpon you?
13:12Your remembrances are like vnto ashes, your bodies to bodies of clay.
13:13Hold your peace, let me alone that I may speake, and let come on me what will.
13:14Wherefore doe I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in mine hand?
13:15Though hee slay mee, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintaine mine owne wayes before him.
13:16Hee also shall be my saluation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.
13:17Heare diligently my speach, and my declaration with your eares.
13:18Behold now, I haue ordered my cause, I know that I shall be iustified.
13:19Who is hee that will plead with me? for now if I hold my tongue, I shall giue vp the ghost.
13:20Only doe not two things vnto me: then will I not hide my selfe from thee.
13:21Withdrawe thine hand far from me: and let not thy dread make mee afraid.
13:22Then call thou, and I will answere: or let me speake, and answere thou mee.
13:23How many are mine iniquities and sinnes? make mee to knowe my transgression, and my sinne.
13:24Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for thine enemie?
13:25Wilt thou breake a leafe driuen to and fro? and wilt thou pursue the drie stubble?
13:26For thou writest bitter things against mee, and makest me to possesse the iniquities of my youth.
13:27Thou puttest my feete also in the stockes, and lookest narrowly vnto all my pathes; thou settest a print vpon the heeles of my feete.
13:28And hee, as a rotten thing consumeth, as a garment that is moth-eaten.

13:1Lo, all this haue I seene with mine eye, heard with mine eare, and vnderstande it
13:2What ye knowe, that same do I know also, neither am I inferior vnto you
13:3Neuerthelesse, I talke with the almightie, and my desire is to commune with God
13:4As for you, ye are workmaisters of lyes, and vnprofitable phisitians altogether
13:5Woulde God ye kept your tongue, for then might ye be taken for wise men
13:6Now heare my reasoning, and ponder the argument of my lippes
13:7Wyll you speake wickedlie for gods defence and talke deceitfully for his [cause?
13:8Wyll ye accept the person of him? or wyll ye contende for God
13:9Shall that helpe you when he calleth you to reckening? For as one man mocketh an other, so do ye mocke him
13:10He shall punishe you, and reproue you, if ye do secretly accept any person
13:11Shall not his excellencie make you afrayde? Shall not his terrible feare fall vpon you
13:12Your remembraunce is lyke vnto a sparke, and your bodies lyke the claye
13:13Holde your tongues for my sake, that I also may speake, and my sorowe shalbe the lesse
13:14Wherefore do I beare my fleshe in my teeth, and put my soule in myne handes
13:15Lo, though he slay me, yet wyl I trust in him: but I wyll reproue myne owne wayes in his sight
13:16He shalbe my saluation: for there may no hypocrite come before him
13:17Heare diligently my wordes, and ponder my sayinges with your eares
13:18Beholde, now haue I prepared my iudgement, and knowe that I shalbe founde righteous
13:19What is he that wyll go to lawe with me? if I now holde my tongue I dye
13:20Neuerthelesse, graunt me two thinges, and then wyll I not hide my selfe from thee
13:21Withdrawe thyne hande from me, and let not the fearefull dreade of thee make me afrayde
13:22Then call, and I wyll aunswere: or let me speake, and geue me then an aunswere
13:23How many are my misdeedes and sinnes? let me knowe my transgressions and offences
13:24Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for thyne enemie
13:25Wylt thou breake a leafe driuen to and fro, and wilt thou pursue the drye stubble
13:26For thou layest sharply to my charge, and punishest me for the sinnes of my youth
13:27Thou puttest my feete also in the stockes, and lokest narowly vnto all my pathes, and makest the print thereof in the heeles of my feete
13:28And I as a rotten thing do consume away, as a garment that is moth eaten

13:1Loe, mine eye hath seene all this: mine eare hath heard, and vnderstande it.
13:2I knowe also as much as you knowe: I am not inferiour vnto you.
13:3But I will speake to the Almightie, and I desire to dispute with God.
13:4For in deede ye forge lyes, and all you are physitions of no value.
13:5Oh, that you woulde holde your tongue, that it might be imputed to you for wisedome!
13:6Nowe heare my disputation, and giue eare to the arguments of my lips.
13:7Will ye speake wickedly for Gods defence, and talke deceitfully for his cause?
13:8Will ye accept his person? or will ye contende for God?
13:9Is it well that he shoulde seeke of you? will you make a lye for him, as one lyeth for a man?
13:10He will surely reprooue you, if ye doe secretly accept any person.
13:11Shall not his excellencie make you afraid? and his feare fall vpon you?
13:12Your memories may be compared vnto ashes, and your bodyes to bodyes of clay.
13:13Holde your tongues in my presence, that I may speake, and let come vpon what will.
13:14Wherefore doe I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my soule in mine hande?
13:15Loe, though he slay me, yet will I trust in him, and I will reprooue my wayes in his sight.
13:16He shalbe my saluation also: for the hypocrite shall not come before him.
13:17Heare diligently my wordes, and marke my talke.
13:18Beholde nowe: if I prepare me to iudgement, I knowe that I shalbe iustified.
13:19Who is he, that will pleade with me? for if I nowe holde my tongue, I dye.
13:20But doe not these two things vnto me: then will I not hide my selfe from thee.
13:21Withdrawe thine hande from me, and let not thy feare make me afraide.
13:22Then call thou, and I will answere: or let me speake, and answere thou me.
13:23Howe many are mine iniquities and sinnes? shewe me my rebellion, and my sinne.
13:24Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and takest me for thine enemie?
13:25Wilt thou breake a leafe driuen to and from? and wilt thou pursue the drie stubble?
13:26For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possesse the iniquities of my youth.
13:27Thou puttest my feete also in the stocks, and lookest narrowly vnto all my pathes, and makest the print thereof in ye heeles of my feet.
13:28Such one consumeth like a rotten thing, and as a garment that is motheaten.
