Philippians - Chapter: 4


4:1	Therefore, my brethren, dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
4:2	I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.
4:3	And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
4:4	Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
4:5	Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
4:6	Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
4:7	And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
4:8	Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
4:9	Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
4:10	But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
4:11	Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
4:12	I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
4:13	I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
4:14	Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.
4:15	Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
4:16	For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
4:17	Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
4:18	But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
4:19	But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
4:20	Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
4:21	Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.
4:22	All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.
4:23	The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. It was written to the Philippians from Rome by Epaphroditus.


4:1	ωστε αδελφοι μου αγαπητοι και επιποθητοι χαρα και στεφανος μου ουτως στηκετε εν κυριω αγαπητοι
4:2	ευωδιαν παρακαλω και συντυχην παρακαλω το αυτο φρονειν εν κυριω
4:3	και ερωτω και σε συζυγε γνησιε συλλαμβανου αυταις αιτινες εν τω ευαγγελιω συνηθλησαν μοι μετα και κλημεντος και των λοιπων συνεργων μου ων τα ονοματα εν βιβλω ζωης
4:4	χαιρετε εν κυριω παντοτε παλιν ερω χαιρετε
4:5	το επιεικες υμων γνωσθητω πασιν ανθρωποις ο κυριος εγγυς
4:6	μηδεν μεριμνατε αλλ εν παντι τη προσευχη και τη δεησει μετα ευχαριστιας τα αιτηματα υμων γνωριζεσθω προς τον θεον
4:7	και η ειρηνη του θεου η υπερεχουσα παντα νουν φρουρησει τας καρδιας υμων και τα νοηματα υμων εν χριστω ιησου
4:8	το λοιπον αδελφοι οσα εστιν αληθη οσα σεμνα οσα δικαια οσα αγνα οσα προσφιλη οσα ευφημα ει τις αρετη και ει τις επαινος ταυτα λογιζεσθε
4:9	α και εμαθετε και παρελαβετε και ηκουσατε και ειδετε εν εμοι ταυτα πρασσετε και ο θεος της ειρηνης εσται μεθ υμων
4:10	εχαρην δε εν κυριω μεγαλως οτι ηδη ποτε ανεθαλετε το υπερ εμου φρονειν εφ ω και εφρονειτε ηκαιρεισθε δε
4:11	ουχ οτι καθ υστερησιν λεγω εγω γαρ εμαθον εν οις ειμι αυταρκης ειναι
4:12	οιδα δε ταπεινουσθαι οιδα και περισσευειν εν παντι και εν πασιν μεμυημαι και χορταζεσθαι και πειναν και περισσευειν και υστερεισθαι
4:13	παντα ισχυω εν τω ενδυναμουντι με χριστω
4:14	πλην καλως εποιησατε συγκοινωνησαντες μου τη θλιψει
4:15	οιδατε δε και υμεις φιλιππησιοι οτι εν αρχη του ευαγγελιου οτε εξηλθον απο μακεδονιας ουδεμια μοι εκκλησια εκοινωνησεν εις λογον δοσεως και ληψεως ει μη υμεις μονοι
4:16	οτι και εν θεσσαλονικη και απαξ και δις εις την χρειαν μοι επεμψατε
4:17	ουχ οτι επιζητω το δομα αλλ επιζητω τον καρπον τον πλεοναζοντα εις λογον υμων
4:18	απεχω δε παντα και περισσευω πεπληρωμαι δεξαμενος παρα επαφροδιτου τα παρ υμων οσμην ευωδιας θυσιαν δεκτην ευαρεστον τω θεω
4:19	ο δε θεος μου πληρωσει πασαν χρειαν υμων κατα τον πλουτον αυτου εν δοξη εν χριστω ιησου
4:20	τω δε θεω και πατρι ημων η δοξα εις τους αιωνας των αιωνων αμην
4:21	ασπασασθε παντα αγιον εν χριστω ιησου ασπαζονται υμας οι συν εμοι αδελφοι
4:22	ασπαζονται υμας παντες οι αγιοι μαλιστα δε οι εκ της καισαρος οικιας
4:23	η χαρις του κυριου ημων ιησου χριστου μετα παντων υμων αμην [προς φιλιππησιους εγραφη απο ρωμης δι επαφροδιτου]


4:1	Herfore my brethren dearly beloved and longed for my ioye and croune so continue in the lorde ye beloved.
4:2	I praye Evodias and beseche Sintiches that they be of one accorde in the lorde.
4:3	Yee and I beseche the faythfull yockfelowe helpe the wemen which labored with me in the gospell and with Clement also and with other my labour felowes whose names are in the boke of lyfe.
4:4	Reioyce in the Lorde alwaye and agayne I saye reioyce.
4:5	Let youre softenes be knowen vnto all men. The lorde is even at honde.
4:6	Be not carfull: but in all thynges shewe youre peticion vnto god in prayer and suplicacion wt gevynge of thankes.
4:7	And the peace of god which passeth all vnderstondinge kepe youre hertes and myndes in christ Iesu.
4:8	Furthermore brethren whatsoever thinges are true whatsoever thynges are honest what soever thynges are iust whatsoever thynges are pure whatsoever thynges pertayne to love whatsoever thynges are of honest reporte: yf ther be eny verteous thynge yf there be eny laudable thynge
4:9	those same have ye in youre mynde which ye have both learned and receaved herde and also sene in me: those thynges do and the god of peace shalbe with you.
4:10	I reioyse in the lorde greatly that now at the last ye are revived agayne to care for me in yt wherein ye were also carefull but ye lacked oportunite.
4:11	I speake not because of necessitie. For I have learned in whatsoever estate I am therewith to be content.
4:12	I can both cast doune my silfe I can also excede. Every where and in all thynges I am instructed both to be full and to be hongry: to have plenty and to suffre nede.
4:13	I can do all thynges thorow the helpe of Christ which strengtheth me.
4:14	Not wistondynge ye have well done that ye bare parte with me in my tribvlacion.
4:15	Ye of Philippos knowe that in the begynnynge of the gospell when I departed from Macedonia no congregacion bare parte with me as concernynge gevynge and receavynge but ye only.
4:16	For when I was in Tessalonica ye sent once and afterwarde agayne vnto my nedes:
4:17	not that I desyre gyftes: but I desyre aboudant frute on youre parte.
4:18	I receaved all and have plentie. I was even filled after that I had receaved of Epaphroditus that which came from you an odour that smelleth swete a sacrifice accepted and plesaunt to God.
4:19	My god fulfill all youre nedes thorow his glorious riches in Iesu Christ.
4:20	Vnto God and oure father be prayse for ever more. Amen.
4:21	Salute all the sainctes in Christ Iesu. The brethren which are with me grete you.
4:22	All the saynctes salute you: and most of all they which are of the Emperours housholde.
4:23	The grace of oure lorde Iesu Christ be wt you all. Amen
