2 Chronicles - Chapter: 15


15:1	And the Spirit of God came vpon Azariah the sonne of Oded.
15:2	And he went out to meet Asa, and said vnto him, Heare ye me, Asa, and all Iudah, and Beniamin, The Lord is with you, while yee be with him: and if yee seeke him, he will be found of you: but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
15:3	Now for a long season Israel hath bene without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.
15:4	But when they in their trouble did turne vnto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, hee was found of them.
15:5	And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were vpon all the inhabitants of the countreys.
15:6	And nation was destroyed of nation, and citie of citie: for God did vexe them with all aduersitie.
15:7	Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands bee weake: for your worke shall be rewarded.
15:8	And when Asa heard these words, and the prophesie of Oded the prophet, he tooke courage, and put away the abominable idoles out of all the lande of Iudah and Beniamin, and out of the cities which hee had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the Altar of the Lord, that was before the porch of the Lord.
15:9	And he gathered all Iudah and Beniamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: (for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance when they saw that the Lord his God was with him.)
15:10	So they gathered themselues together at Ierusalem, in the third moneth, in the fifteenth yeere of the reigne of Asa.
15:11	And they offered vnto the Lord the same time, of the spoile which they had brought, seuen hundred oxen, and seuen thousand sheepe.
15:12	And they entred into a couenant to seeke the Lord God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soule:
15:13	That whosoeuer would not seeke the Lord God of Israel, should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
15:14	And they sware vnto the Lord with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.
15:15	And all Iudah reioyced at the oath: for they had sworne with all their heart, & sought him with their whole desire, and he was found of them: and the Lord gaue them rest round about.
15:16	And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he remooued her from beeing Queene, because she had made an idole in a groue: and Asa cut downe her idole, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brooke Kidron.
15:17	But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: neuerthelesse the heart of Asa was perfect all his dayes.
15:18	And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himselfe had dedicated, siluer, and gold, and vessels.
15:19	And there was no more warre vnto the fiue and thirtieth yeere of the reigne of Asa.

15:3	Nowe for a long season Israel hath bene without the true God, and without Priest to teach and without Lawe.
15:4	But whosoeuer returned in his affliction to the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, he was founde of them.
15:5	And in that time there was no peace to him, that did goe out and goe in: but great troubles were to all the inhabitants of the earth.
15:6	For nation was destroyed of nation, and citie of citie: for God troubled them with all aduersitie.
15:7	Be ye strong therefore, and let not your handes be weake: for your worke shall haue a rewarde.
15:8	And when Asa heard these wordes, and the prophesie of Obed the Prophet, he was encouraged, and tooke away the abominations out of all the lande of Iudah, and Beniamin, and out of the cities which he had taken of mount Ephraim, and he renued the altar of the Lord, that was before the porche of the Lord.
15:9	And he gathered all Iudah and Beniamin, and the strangers with them out of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for there fell many to him out of Israel, when they sawe that the Lord his God was with him.
15:10	So they assembled to Ierusalem in the third moneth, in the fifteenth yere of the reigne of Asa.
15:11	And they offred vnto the Lord the same time of the spoyle, which they had brought, euen seuen hundreth bullockes, and seuen thousande sheepe.
15:12	And they made a couenant to seeke the Lord God of their fathers, with all their heart, and with all their soule.
15:13	And whosoeuer will not seeke the Lord God of Israel, shalbe slaine, whether he were small or great, man or woman.
15:14	And they sware vnto the Lord with a loude voyce, and with shouting and with trumpets, and with cornets.
15:15	And all Iudah reioyced at the othe: for they had sworne vnto the Lord with all their heart, and sought him with a whole desire, and he was founde of them. And the Lord gaue them rest rounde about.
15:16	And King Asa deposed Maachah his mother from her regencie, because she had made an idole in a groue: and Asa brake downe her idole, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brooke Kidron.
15:17	But the hie places were not taken away out of Israel: yet the heart of Asa was perfit all his dayes.
15:18	Also he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicate, and that he had dedicate, siluer, and golde, and vessels.
15:19	And there was no warre vnto the fiue and thirtieth yeere of the reigne of Asa.


15:1	And the sprete of God came on Asaria the sonne of Oded.
15:2	And he went out to mete Asa, & sayde vnto him: heare me Asa, and all Iuda, Beniamin. The Lorde is with you, whyle ye be with hym, and when ye seke hym, he wyll be founde of you: and agayne, when ye forsake hym, he also wyll forsake you.
15:3	And truly, for a longe season in Israel no man sought the true God, no man regarded the preste that taught them, no man cared for the lawe.
15:4	And when any man in hys trouble dyd turne vnto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, he was founde of them.
15:5	And in that time me there was no peace to hym, that dyd goo out and in: but greate sedicyon was there amonge all the inhabiters of the earth.
15:6	And nacyon was destroyed of nacyon, and cytie of cytie: for God dyd moue all aduersitye amonge them.
15:7	Playe ye therfore the men, and let not youre handes slacke, for youre worke shalbe rewarded.
15:8	And when Asa hearde those wordes, and the prophesye of Azaria the sonne of Oded the prophete, he toke courage, & put awaye the abhominable ydols out of all the lande of Iuda and Beniamin, & out of the cityes which he wanne in mount Ephraim, and renued the aultar of the Lorde, that was before the porch of the Lorde.
15:9	And he gathered all Iuda and Beniamin, and the straungers with them out of Ephraim, Manasse, & Simeon. For there fell many to hym out of Israel, when they sawe that the Lorde hys God was wt hym.
15:10	So they assembled at Ierusalem the thyrde monethe, the fyftenth yeare of the raygne of Asa.
15:11	And they offered vnto the Lord the same tyme of the spoyle which they had brought .vij.C. oxen, and .vij. thousande shepe.
15:12	And they made a couenaunt to seke the Lorde God of theyr fathers, with all theyr hert & all theyr soule.
15:13	And whosoeuer wolde not seke the Lorde God of Israel, shulde dye for it: whether he were small or great man or woman.
15:14	And they sware vnto the Lorde with a loude voyce, showtynge & blowyng wyth trompettes and shawmes.
15:15	And all they in Iuda reioyced at the oth, for they had sworne vnto the Lorde, with all theyr herte, and sought hym with all theyr lust, and he was founde of them. And the Lorde gaue them rest rounde about on euery syde.
15:16	And kinge Asa put Maacha his mother out of auctorite, because she had made an abhominable ydoll in a groue: and Asa brake downe her ydoll, and stamped it, & burnt it at the broke Cedron.
15:17	But all the hylaulters were not taken awaye out of Israel: though the hert of Asa was perfecte all hys dayes.
15:18	And he brought into the house of God the thynges that hys father had dedicat, and that he hym selfe had dedicate: euen syluer, & golde, and Iewelles.
15:19	And ther was nomore warre vnto the .xxxv. yere of the raygne of Asa.
