33:1	Manasseh was twelue yeeres old when he began to reigne, and he reigned fiftie and fiue yeres in Ierusalem:
33:2	But did that which was euil in the sight of the Lord, like vnto the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.
33:3	For hee built againe the high places, which Hezekiah his father had broken downe, and he reared vp altars for Baalim, and made groues, and worshipped all the host of heauen, and serued them.
33:4	Also hee built altars in the house of the Lord, whereof the Lord had saide, In Ierusalem shall my Name be for euer.
33:5	And he built altars for all the host of heauen, in the two Courts of the house of the Lord.
33:6	And he caused his children to passe through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he obserued times, and vsed inchantments, and vsed witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much euill in the sight of the Lord, to prouoke him to anger.
33:7	And hee set a carued image (the idole which he had made) in the house of God, of which God had said to Dauid, and to Solomon his sonne: In this house, and in Ierusalem which I haue chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my Name for euer.
33:8	Neither will I any more remoue the foot of Israel from out of the land which I haue appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to doe all that I haue commanded them, according to the whole Law, and the statutes, and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.
33:9	So Manasseh made Iudah, and the inhabitants of Ierusalem to erre, and to doe worse then the heathen, whom the Lord had destroyed before the children of Israel.
33:10	And the Lord spake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken.
33:11	Wherfore the Lord brought vpon them the captaines of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thornes, & bound him with setters, & caried him to Babylon.
33:12	And when hee was in affliction, he besought the Lord his God, and humbled himselfe greatly before the God of his fathers,
33:13	And prayed vnto him, and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him againe to Ierusalem into his kingdome. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord hee was God.
33:14	Now after this, hee built a wall without the citie of Dauid, on the Westside of Gihon, in the valley, euen to the entring in at the fish-gate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised it vp a very great height, and put captaines of warre in all the fenced cities of Iudah.
33:15	And hee tooke away the strange gods and the idol out of the house of the Lord, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the Lord, and in Ierusalem, and cast them out of the citie.
33:16	And hee repaired the altar of the Lord, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings, and thanke offerings, and commaunded Iudah to serue the Lord God of Israel.
33:17	Neuerthelesse, the people did sacrifice still in the high places, yet vnto the Lord their God only.
33:18	Nowe the rest of the actes of Manasseh, & his prayer vnto his God, and the words of the seers that spake to him in the name of the Lord God of Israel, behold, they are written in the booke of the kings of Israel:
33:19	His prayer also, and how God was intreated of him, and all his sinne, and his trespasse, and the places wherein he built high places, and set vp groues and grauen images before hee was humbled: behold, they are written among the sayings of the Seers.
33:20	So Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in his owne house: and Amon his sonne reigned in his stead.
33:21	Amon was two and twentie yeeres old, when he beganne to reigne, and reigned two yeares in Ierusalem.
33:22	But he did that which was euill in the sight of the Lord, as did Manasseh his father: for Amon sacrificed vnto all the carued images, which Manasseh his father had made, and serued them;
33:23	And humbled not himselfe before the Lord, as Manasseh his father had humbled himselfe: but Amon trespassed more and more.
33:24	And his seruants conspired against him, and slew him in his owne house.
33:25	But the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon, and the people of the land made Iosiah his sonne, king in his stead.

33:3	For he went to, and buylt the high places whiche Hezekia his father had broken downe: And he reared vp aulters for Baalim, and made groues, and worshipped all the hoast of heauen, and serued them
33:4	And he buylt aulters in the house of the Lorde, where as the Lord yet had sayd, In Hierusale shal my name be for euer
33:5	And he buylded aulters for all the hoast of heauen, in the two courtes of ye house of the Lorde
33:6	And he burnt his children in fire in the valley of the sonne of Hinnon: He was a sorcerer, he regarded the crying of birdes, vsed inchauntmentes, and mayntayned workers with spirites and sears of fortunes, and wrought much euyll in the sight of the Lorde to anger hym withall
33:7	And he put the carued image and an idol whiche he had made, in the house of God: Of which house, God had sayd to Dauid and to Solomon his sonne, In this house and in Hierusalem whiche I haue chosen afore all the tribes of Israel will I put my name for euer
33:8	Neither will I make the foote of Israel to remoue any more out of the land whiche I haue ordeyned for your fathers, yf so be that they wil be diligent and do all that I haue commaunded them in all the law and statutes, and ordinaunces by the hande of Moyses
33:9	And so Manasse made Iuda and the inhabiters of Hierusalem to erre, and to do worse then the heathen whom the Lord destroyed before the children of Israel
33:10	And the Lord spake to Manasse and to his people: but they woulde not regarde
33:11	Wherfore the Lord brought vpon them the captaynes of the hoast of the king of the Assyrians, whiche toke Manasse in holde, and bounde him with chaynes, and caried him to Babylon
33:12	And when he was in tribulation, he besought the Lord his God, and humbled him selfe exceedingly before the God of his fathers
33:13	And made intercession to him: and God was intreated of him, and hearde his prayer, and brought him againe to Hierusalem into his kingdome: and then Manasse knewe that the Lorde was God
33:14	After this he buylt a wall without the citie of Dauid on the west side of Gion, in the valley, as they came to the fishe gate, and round about Ophel, & brought it vp of a very great heyght, and put captaynes of warre in all the strong cities of Iuda
33:15	And he toke away straunge gods and images out of the house of God, and all the aulters that he had buylt in the mount of the house of God and Hierusalem, and cast them out of the citie
33:16	And he prepared the aulter of the Lord, and sacrifised thereon peace offeringes and thanke offeringes, and charged Iuda to serue the Lorde God of Israel
33:17	Neuerthelesse, the people dyd offer stil in the high places, howbeit vnto the Lorde their God only
33:18	The rest of the actes of Manasse, and his prayer vnto his God, & the wordes of the sears that spake to him in the name of the Lorde God of Israel, behold they are written in the sayinges of the kinges of Israel
33:19	And his prayer, and howe that he was hearde, and all his sinnes, and his trespasse, and the places where he made high places and set vp groues and images before he was meekened, beholde they are written among the sayinges of the sears
33:20	And Manasse slept with his fathers, & they buried him in his owne house, and Amon his sonne raigned in his roome
33:21	Amon was two and twentie yeres old when he began to raigne, and raigned two yeres in Hierusalem
33:22	But he did euill in the sight of the Lord, like as dyd Manasse his father: for Amon sacrifised to all the carued images whiche Manasse his father had made, and serued them
33:23	And submitted not him selfe before the Lorde, as Manasse his father had meekened him selfe: but Amon trespassed greatly
33:24	And his owne seruauntes conspired against him, and slue him in his owne house
33:25	But the people of the lande slue al them that had conspired against king Amon: and the same people of the lande made Iosia his sonne king in his roome

33:11	Wherefore the Lord brought vpon them the captaines of the hoste of the King of Asshur, which tooke Manasseh and put him in fetters, and bound him in chaines, and caryed him to Babel.
33:12	And when he was in tribulation, he prayed to the Lord his God, and humbled him selfe greatly before the God of his fathers,
33:13	And prayed vnto him: and God was entreated of him, and heard his prayer, and brought him againe to Ierusalem into his kingdome: then Manasseh knewe that the Lord was God.
