Job - Chapter: 8

>
8:1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
8:2How long wilt thou speake these things? and how long shall the wordes of thy mouth be like a strong wind?
8:3Doth God peruert iudgement? or doth the Almightie peruert iustice?
8:4If thy children haue sinned against him, and he haue cast them away for their transgression:
8:5If thou wouldest seeke vnto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almightie:
8:6If thou wert pure and vpright, surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousnes prosperous.
8:7Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
8:8For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thy selfe to the search of their fathers.
8:9(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our dayes vpon earth are a shadow.)
8:10Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, & vtter words out of their heart?
8:11Can the rush growe vp without myre? can the flag growe without water?
8:12Whilest it is yet in his greennesse, and not cut downe, it withereth before any other herbe.
8:13So are the paths of all that forget God, and the hypocrites hope shall perish:
8:14Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spiders web.
8:15He shall leane vpon his house, but it shall not stand: he shal hold it fast, but it shall not endure.
8:16He is greene before the sunne, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden.
8:17His roots are wrapped about the heape, and seeth the place of stones.
8:18If he destroy him from his place, then it shal denie him, saying, I haue not seene thee.
8:19Beholde, this is the ioy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.
8:20Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will hee helpe the euill doers:
8:21Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with reioycing.
8:22They that hate thee shall be cloathed with shame, and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.

8:1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and saide,
8:2Howe long wilt thou talke of these things? and howe long shall the wordes of thy mouth be as a mightie winde?
8:3Doeth God peruert iudgement? or doeth the Almightie subuert iustice?
8:4If thy sonnes haue sinned against him, and he hath sent them into the place of their iniquitie,
8:5Yet if thou wilt early seeke vnto God, and pray to the Almightie,
8:6If thou be pure and vpright, then surely hee will awake vp vnto thee, and he wil make the habitation of thy righteousnesse prosperous.
8:7And though thy beginning be small, yet thy latter ende shall greatly encrease.
8:8Inquire therefore, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thy selfe to search of their fathers.
8:9(For we are but of yesterday, and are ignorant: for our dayes vpon earth are but a shadowe)
8:10Shall not they teach thee and tell thee, and vtter the wordes of their heart?
8:11Can a rush grow without myre? or can ye grasse growe without water?
8:12Though it were in greene and not cutte downe, yet shall it wither before any other herbe.
8:13So are the paths of al that forget God, and the hypocrites hope shall perish.
8:14His confidence also shalbe cut off, and his trust shalbe as the house of a spyder.
8:15He shall leane vpon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall holde him fast by it, yet shall it not endure.
8:16The tree is greene before the sunne, and the branches spread ouer the garden thereof.
8:17The rootes thereof are wrapped about the fountaine, and are folden about ye house of stones.
8:18If any plucke it from his place, and it denie, saying, I haue not seene thee,
8:19Beholde, it will reioyce by this meanes, that it may growe in another molde.
8:20Behold, God will not cast away an vpright man, neither will he take the wicked by the hand,
8:21Till he haue filled thy mouth with laughter, and thy lippes with ioy.
8:22They that hate thee, shall be clothed with shame, and the dwelling of the wicked shall not remaine.

8:1Then answered Baldad the Suhite, and sayde:
8:2How longe wilt thou talke of soch thynges? how longe shall thy mouth speake so proude wordes?
8:3Doth God peruerte the thynge that is laufull? Or doth the almyghtye destroye the thynge that is ryght?
8:4For seyng that thy sonnes synned agaynst hym, dyd not he punysh them for theyr wyckednesse?
8:5If thou woldest now resort vnto God by tymes, and make thyne humble prayer to the almyghty:
8:6yf thou woldest lyue a pure and a godly lyfe: shulde he not awake vp vnto the immediatly, and geue the, the bewtye of ryghtewesnesse agayne?
8:7In so moche, that where in so euer thou haddest lytle afore, thou shuldest now haue greate aboundaunce.
8:8Enquere (I praye the) of them that haue bene before the, and search diligently amonge theyr fathers.
8:9For we are but of yesterdaye, and consydre not, that oure dayes vpon earth are but a very shadowe.
8:10Shall not they shewe the, and tell the, yee, and gladly confesse the same?
8:11Maye a rysshe be grene without moystnesse? Or maye the grasse growe without water?
8:12No: but (or euer it be shot forth, & or euer it be gathered) it withered, before eny other herbe.
8:13Euen so goeth it with all them, that forget God: and euen thus also shall the ypocrites hope come to naught.
8:14Hys confydence shalbe destroyed, and hys trust shalbe a spiders webbe.
8:15He shall leane vpon his house, but it shall not stande: he shall holde hym fast by it, yet shall it not endure.
8:16It is euen as a grene tree before the sonne, & shoteth forth the braunches in hys garden.
8:17It taketh many rotes by a well syde, in so moch that it is lyke an house of stones.
8:18But yf it be taken out of hys place, euery man denyeth it, sayenge: I knowe the not.
8:19Lo, thus is it with him, that reioyseth in his awne doynges: and as for other, they growe out of the earth.
8:20Behold, God will not cast awaye a vertuous man, nether wyll he helpe the vngodly.
8:21Thy mouth shall he fyll with laughing, and thy lyppes with gladnesse.
8:22They also that hate the, shalbe confounded, and the dwellinge of the vngodly shall come to naught.
