| 8:1 | Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said, |
| 8:2 | How long wilt thou speake these things? and how long shall the wordes of thy mouth be like a strong wind? |
| 8:3 | Doth God peruert iudgement? or doth the Almightie peruert iustice? |
| 8:4 | If thy children haue sinned against him, and he haue cast them away for their transgression: |
| 8:5 | If thou wouldest seeke vnto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almightie: |
| 8:6 | If thou wert pure and vpright, surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousnes prosperous. |
| 8:7 | Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. |
| 8:8 | For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thy selfe to the search of their fathers. |
| 8:9 | (For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our dayes vpon earth are a shadow.) |
| 8:10 | Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, & vtter words out of their heart? |
| 8:11 | Can the rush growe vp without myre? can the flag growe without water? |
| 8:12 | Whilest it is yet in his greennesse, and not cut downe, it withereth before any other herbe. |
| 8:13 | So are the paths of all that forget God, and the hypocrites hope shall perish: |
| 8:14 | Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spiders web. |
| 8:15 | He shall leane vpon his house, but it shall not stand: he shal hold it fast, but it shall not endure. |
| 8:16 | He is greene before the sunne, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden. |
| 8:17 | His roots are wrapped about the heape, and seeth the place of stones. |
| 8:18 | If he destroy him from his place, then it shal denie him, saying, I haue not seene thee. |
| 8:19 | Beholde, this is the ioy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow. |
| 8:20 | Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will hee helpe the euill doers: |
| 8:21 | Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with reioycing. |
| 8:22 | They that hate thee shall be cloathed with shame, and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought. |

| 8:3 | Doeth God peruert iudgement? or doeth the Almightie subuert iustice? |
| 8:4 | If thy sonnes haue sinned against him, and he hath sent them into the place of their iniquitie, |
| 8:5 | Yet if thou wilt early seeke vnto God, and pray to the Almightie, |
| 8:6 | If thou be pure and vpright, then surely hee will awake vp vnto thee, and he wil make the habitation of thy righteousnesse prosperous. |
| 8:7 | And though thy beginning be small, yet thy latter ende shall greatly encrease. |
| 8:8 | Inquire therefore, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thy selfe to search of their fathers. |
| 8:9 | (For we are but of yesterday, and are ignorant: for our dayes vpon earth are but a shadowe) |

| 8:16 | The tree is greene before the sunne, and the branches spread ouer the garden thereof. |
| 8:17 | The rootes thereof are wrapped about the fountaine, and are folden about ye house of stones. |
| 8:18 | If any plucke it from his place, and it denie, saying, I haue not seene thee, |
| 8:19 | Beholde, it will reioyce by this meanes, that it may growe in another molde. |
| 8:20 | Behold, God will not cast away an vpright man, neither will he take the wicked by the hand, |
| 8:21 | Till he haue filled thy mouth with laughter, and thy lippes with ioy. |
| 8:22 | They that hate thee, shall be clothed with shame, and the dwelling of the wicked shall not remaine. |
| 8:1 | Then answered Baldad the Suhite, and sayde: |
| 8:2 | How longe wilt thou talke of soch thynges? how longe shall thy mouth speake so proude wordes? |
| 8:3 | Doth God peruerte the thynge that is laufull? Or doth the almyghtye destroye the thynge that is ryght? |
| 8:4 | For seyng that thy sonnes synned agaynst hym, dyd not he punysh them for theyr wyckednesse? |
| 8:5 | If thou woldest now resort vnto God by tymes, and make thyne humble prayer to the almyghty: |
| 8:6 | yf thou woldest lyue a pure and a godly lyfe: shulde he not awake vp vnto the immediatly, and geue the, the bewtye of ryghtewesnesse agayne? |
| 8:7 | In so moche, that where in so euer thou haddest lytle afore, thou shuldest now haue greate aboundaunce. |
| 8:8 | Enquere (I praye the) of them that haue bene before the, and search diligently amonge theyr fathers. |
| 8:9 | For we are but of yesterdaye, and consydre not, that oure dayes vpon earth are but a very shadowe. |
| 8:10 | Shall not they shewe the, and tell the, yee, and gladly confesse the same? |
| 8:11 | Maye a rysshe be grene without moystnesse? Or maye the grasse growe without water? |
| 8:12 | No: but (or euer it be shot forth, & or euer it be gathered) it withered, before eny other herbe. |
| 8:13 | Euen so goeth it with all them, that forget God: and euen thus also shall the ypocrites hope come to naught. |
| 8:14 | Hys confydence shalbe destroyed, and hys trust shalbe a spiders webbe. |
| 8:15 | He shall leane vpon his house, but it shall not stande: he shall holde hym fast by it, yet shall it not endure. |
| 8:16 | It is euen as a grene tree before the sonne, & shoteth forth the braunches in hys garden. |
| 8:17 | It taketh many rotes by a well syde, in so moch that it is lyke an house of stones. |
| 8:18 | But yf it be taken out of hys place, euery man denyeth it, sayenge: I knowe the not. |
| 8:19 | Lo, thus is it with him, that reioyseth in his awne doynges: and as for other, they growe out of the earth. |
| 8:20 | Behold, God will not cast awaye a vertuous man, nether wyll he helpe the vngodly. |
| 8:21 | Thy mouth shall he fyll with laughing, and thy lyppes with gladnesse. |
| 8:22 | They also that hate the, shalbe confounded, and the dwellinge of the vngodly shall come to naught. |
