Job - Chapter: 23

>
23:1Then Iob answered, and said,
23:2Euen to day is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heauier then my groning.
23:3O that I knewe where I might find him! that I might come euen to his seate!
23:4I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.
23:5I would know the words which he would answere me, and vnderstand what he would say vnto me.
23:6Will he plead against me with his great power? No, but hee would put strength in me.
23:7There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be deliuered for euer from my Iudge.
23:8Behold, I goe forward, but he is not there, and backward, but I cannot perceiue him:
23:9On the left hand where hee doeth worke, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himselfe on the right hand, that I cannot see him.
23:10But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
23:11My foot hath held his steps, his way haue I kept, and not declined.
23:12Neither haue I gone backe from the commaundement of his lippes, I haue esteemed the words of his mouth more then my necessary food.
23:13But hee is in one minde, and who can turne him? and what his soule desireth, euen that he doeth.
23:14For he performeth the thing that is appointed for mee: and many such things are with him.
23:15Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him.
23:16For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me:
23:17Because I was not cut off before the darknes, neither hath he couered the darknes from my face.

23:1Iob aunswered, & said
23:2Though my talke be this day in bitternesse, and my plague greater then my groning
23:3O that I might know him, and finde him, and that I might come before his seate
23:4I woulde pleade my cause before hym, and fill my mouth with argumentes
23:5I woulde knowe what aunswere he woulde geue me, and vnderstande what he woulde say vnto me
23:6Will he pleade against me with his great power? No, but he will make me the stronger
23:7There the righteous might dispute with him, so shoulde I be deliuered for euer from my iudge
23:8Behold, though I go forwarde I find him not: If I go backwarde, I can get no knowledge of hym
23:9If I go on the left side where he doth his worke, I can not attayne vnto him: Againe, if I go on the right side, he hydeth him selfe that I can not see hym
23:10But as for my way, he knoweth it, and tryeth me, that as the gold I may come foorth
23:11My foote doth kepe his path, his hie way haue I holden, and will not go out of it
23:12I will not forsake the commaundement of his lippes, I haue esteemed the wordes of his mouth more then myne appoynted foode
23:13He is still at one poynt, and who can turne him? he doth as him listeth, and bringeth to passe what he will
23:14He perfourmeth the thing that is appoynted for me, and many such thinges doth he
23:15This is the cause that I shrinke at his presence, so that when I consider him, I am afrayde of hym
23:16For God maketh my heart softe, and the almightie putteth me in feare
23:17Because I am not cut of before the darkenesse, neither hath he couered the cloude fro my face

23:1Bvt Iob answered and sayd,
23:2Though my talke be this day in bitternes, and my plague greater then my groning,
23:3Would God yet I knew how to finde him, I would enter vnto his place.
23:4I would pleade the cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.
23:5I would knowe the wordes, that he would answere me, and would vnderstand what he would say vnto me.
23:6Would he plead against me with his great power? No, but he would put strength in me.
23:7There the righteous might reason with him, so I shoulde be deliuered for euer from my Iudge.
23:8Behold, if I go to the East, he is not there: if to the West, yet I can not perceiue him:
23:9If to the North where he worketh, yet I cannot see him: he wil hide himselfe in the South, and I cannot beholde him.
23:10But he knoweth my way, and trieth mee, and I shall come forth like the gold.
23:11My foote hath followed his steps: his way haue I kept, and haue not declined.
23:12Neyther haue I departed from the commandement of his lippes, and I haue esteemed the words of his mouth more then mine appointed foode.
23:13Yet he is in one minde, and who can turne him? yea, he doeth what his minde desireth.
23:14For he will performe that, which is decreed of me, and many such things are with him.
23:15Therefore I am troubled at his presence, and in considering it, I am afraid of him.
23:16For God hath softened mine heart, and the Almightie hath troubled me.
23:17For I am not cut off in darknesse, but he hath hid the darkenesse from my face.
