Psalms - Chapter: 7

7:1Sigaion of Dauid, which he sang vnto the Lord in the busynes of Thus the sonne of Iemini. O Lorde my God, in the haue I put my trust: saue me from all them that persecute me, & delyuer me.
7:2Lest he deuoure my soule lyke a lyon, and teare it in peces, whyle there is none to helpe.
7:3O Lorde my God, yf I haue done any soche thynge, or yf there be any wyckednes in my handes.
7:4Yf I haue rewarded euyll vnto him that dealt frendly with me, yee, I haue delyuered hym, that without any cause is myne enemye.
7:5Then lett myne enemye persecute my soule, and take me: ye let hym treade my lyfe downe vpon the earth, & laye myne honoure in the dust. Sela.
7:6Stande vp, O Lorde, in thy wrath: and lyfte vp thy selfe, because of the indygnacyons of myne enemyes: aryse vp for me, in the iudgement that thou hast commaunded.
7:7And so shall the congregacyon of the people come aboute the, for theyr sakes therfore lyft vp thy selfe agayne.
7:8The Lorde shall iudge the people geue sentence with me, O Lorde, accordyng to my ryghtewesnes, and accordynge to the innocencye that is in me.
7:9Oh let the wyckednes of the vngodly come to an ende: but guyd thou the iust.
7:10For the righteous God trieth the very hertes and the reynes.
7:11My helpe commeth of God, which preserueth them that are true of herte.
7:12God is a ryghtewes iudge, and God is prouoked euery daye. Yf a man will not turne, he wyll whet his swerde: he hath bent his bowe and made it ready.
7:13He hath prepared hym the instrumentes of deeth: he ordeyneth hys arowes agaynst the persecutours.
7:14Beholde he trauayleth with myschefe, he hath conceaued sorow, and brought forth vngodlynesse.
7:15He hath grauen and dygged vp a pytte, & is fallen hym selfe into the destruccyon that he made (for other.)
7:16For his trauayll shall come vpon his awne head & his wickednes shall fall vpon hys awne pate.
7:17I wyll geue thankes vnto the Lorde accordynge to his ryghteousnes, & will prayse the name of the Lorde the most hyest.

 

7:1The title of the seuenthe salm. For the ignoraunce of Dauid, which he songe to the Lord on the wordis of Ethiopien, the sone of Gemyny.
7:2Mi Lord God, Y haue hopid in thee; make thou me saaf fro alle that pursuen me, and delyuere thou me.
7:3Lest ony tyme he as a lioun rauysche my soule; the while noon is that ayenbieth, nether that makith saaf.
7:4Mi Lord God, if Y dide this thing, if wickidnesse is in myn hondis;
7:5if Y `yeldide to men yeldynge to me yuels, falle Y `bi disseruyng voide fro myn enemyes;
7:6myn enemy pursue my soule, and take, and defoule my lijf in erthe; and brynge my glorie in to dust.
7:7Lord, rise thou vp in thin ire; and be thou reysid in the coostis of myn enemyes.
7:8And, my Lord God, rise thou in the comaundement, which thou `hast comaundid; and the synagoge of puplis schal cumpasse thee.
7:9And for this go thou ayen an hiy; the Lord demeth puplis. Lord, deme thou me bi my riytfulnesse; and bi myn innocence on me.
7:10The wickidnesse of synneris be endid; and thou, God, sekyng the hertis and reynes, schalt dresse a iust man.
7:11Mi iust help is of the Lord; that makith saaf riytful men in herte.
7:12The Lord is a iust iuge, stronge and pacient; whether he is wrooth bi alle daies?
7:13If ye ben `not conuertid, he schal florische his swerd; he hath bent his bouwe, and made it redi.
7:14And therynne he hath maad redi the vessels of deth; he hath fulli maad his arewis with brennynge thingis.
7:15Lo! he conseyuede sorewe; he peynfuli brouyte forth vnriytfulnesse, and childide wickidnesse.
7:16He openide a lake, and diggide it out; and he felde in to the dich which he made.
7:17His sorewe schal be turned in to his heed; and his wickidnesse schal come doun in to his necke.

7:2Lest he hantch vp my soule like a lyon, & teare it in peces, whyle there is none to helpe.
7:3O LORDE my God, yff I haue done eny soch thinge: yf there be eny vnrightuousnes in my hades:
7:4Yff I haue rewarded euell vnto the yt dealt frendly wt me or hurte the yt wt out eny cause are myne enemies:
7:5Then let myne enemie persecute my soule, & take me: yee let hi treade my life downe in the earth, & laye myne honor in the dust.
7:6Sela. Stode vp (o LORDE) in yi wrath, lift vp thyself ouer the furious indignacio of myne enemies: aryse vp (for me) in the vengeaunce that thou hast promysed.
7:7That the congregacion of the people maye come aboute the, for their sakes therfore lift vp thyselff agayne,
7:8The LORDE is iudge ouer the people: Auenge me then (o LORDE) acordinge to my rightuousnes & innocency.
7:9Oh let the wickednes of the vngodly come to an ende: but manteyne the iust,
7:10thou rightuous God, yt triest the very hertes & the reynes.
7:11My helpe cometh of God, which preserueth them yt are true of herte.
7:12God is a rightuous iudge, & God is euer threateninge. Yf men wil not turne, he hath whet his swearde: he hath bent his bowe & made it ready.
7:13He hath prepayred him the weapens of death, & ordened his arowes to destroye.
7:14Beholde, he trauayleth with myschefe, he hath coceaued vnhappynesse, and brought forth a lye.
7:15He hath grauen and dygged vp a pytte, but he shal fall himself in to ye pytte yt he hath made.
7:16For his vnhappynes shall come vpon his owne heade, & his wickednes shall fall vpon his owne pate.
7:17As for me, I will geue thankes vnto the LORDE for his rightuousnes sake, and wil prayse the name of the LORDE the most hyest.
