Psalms - Chapter: 77

>
77:1[To the chiefe musician, to Ieduthun, a Psalme of Asaph.] I cryed vnto God with my voice: euen vnto God with my voice, and he gaue eare vnto me.
77:2In the day of my trouble, I sought the Lord; my sore ranne in the night, and ceased not: my soule refused to be comforted.
77:3I remembred God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was ouerwhelmed. Selah.
77:4Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speake.
77:5I haue considered the dayes of old, the yeeres of auncient times.
77:6I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine owne heart, and my spirit made diligent search.
77:7Will the Lord cast off for euer? and will hee be fauourable no more?
77:8Is his mercy cleane gone for euer? doth his promise faile for euermore?
77:9Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut vp his tender mercies? Selah.
77:10And I sayd, This is my infirmitie: but I will remember the yeeres of the right hand of the most high.
77:11I will remember the workes of the Lord: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.
77:12I will meditate also of all thy worke, and talke of thy doings.
77:13Thy way, O God, is in the Sanctuarie: who is so great a God, as our God?
77:14Thou art the God that doest wonders; thou hast declared thy strength among the people.
77:15Thou hast with thine arme redeemed thy people, the sonnes of Iacob and Ioseph. Selah.
77:16The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee: they were afraid; the depths also were troubled.
77:17The cloudes powred out water, the skies sent out a sound; thine arrowes also went abroad.
77:18The voice of thy thunder was in the heauen: the lightnings lightned the world, the earth trembled and shooke.
77:19Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters: and thy foot-steps are not knowen.
77:20Thou leddest thy people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

 

77:1My voyce was vnto the Lorde, and I cryed: my voyce was vnto the Lord, and he hearkened vnto me
77:2In the tyme of my trouble I sought the Lorde: my hande all the nyght catched & ceassed not, my soule refused comfort
77:3I called to remembraunce God, and I was disquieted: I conferred with my selfe, and my spirite was wrapped in pensiuenesse. Selah
77:4Thou dydst kepe the watche of mine eies: I was amased & coulde not speake
77:5I dyd thynke vpon the dayes past: and on the yeres of the olde worlde
77:6I called to remembraunce my psalme, song on the musicall instrument in the nyght tyme: I communed with myne owne heart, & searched out my spirites
77:7What, wyll the Lorde forsake me for euer? wyll he be no more intreated to be fauourable
77:8Is his mercie cleane gone for euer? and is his promise made from one generation to another, come vtterly to an ende
77:9Hath God forgotten to be gratious? and will he shut vp his louing kindnesse in displeasure? Selah
77:10And I sayde, this is my death: but the ryght hande of the most hyghest may graunt me yeres
77:11I dyd call to remebraunce the workes of God almightie: for thy wonders done a great whyle a goe came into my mynde
77:12I also gaue my selfe to muse of all thy workes: and I talked of all thy actes
77:13Thy way O Lorde is in holynesse: who is so great a God as the Lorde
77:14Thou art the God that doth wonders: thou hast made thy power knowen among the people
77:15Thou hast redeemed thy people with a mightie arme: the sonnes of Iacob and Ioseph. Selah
77:16The waters sawe thee O God, the waters sawe thee, they feared: yea the depthes of them moued out of their place
77:17Thicke cloudes powred downe rayne, thinne cloudes gaue a noyse: and thine arrowes went abrode into al corners
77:18The sounde of thy thunder was rounde about the sky: the lightnynges shone through the worlde, the earth quaked and trembled
77:19Thy way is in the sea, and thy pathes in the great waters: and thy footesteppes are not knowen
77:20Thou dydst leade thy people lyke sheepe: by the hande of Moyses and Aaron

 

77:1For the excellent musician Ieduthun. A Psalme committed to Asaph. My voyce came to God, when I cryed: my voyce came to God, and he heard me.
77:2In the day of my trouble I sought ye Lord: my sore ranne and ceased not in the night: my soule refused comfort.
77:3I did thinke vpon God, and was troubled: I praied, and my spirit was full of anguish. Selah.
77:4Thou keepest mine eyes waking: I was astonied and could not speake.
77:5Then I considered the daies of olde, and the yeeres of ancient time.
77:6I called to remembrance my song in the night: I communed with mine owne heart, and my spirit searched diligently.
77:7Will the Lord absent him selfe for euer? and will he shewe no more fauour?
77:8Is his mercie cleane gone for euer? doeth his promise faile for euermore?
77:9Hath God forgotten to be mercifull? hath he shut vp his teder mercies in displeasure? Selah.
77:10And I sayde, This is my death: yet I remembred the yeeres of the right hand of the most High.
77:11I remembred the workes of the Lord: certainely I remembred thy wonders of olde.
77:12I did also meditate all thy woorkes, and did deuise of thine actes, saying,
77:13Thy way, O God, is in the Sanctuarie: who is so great a God as our God!
77:14Thou art ye God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy power among the people.
77:15Thou hast redeemed thy people with thine arme, euen the sonnes of Iaakob and Ioseph. Selah.
77:16The waters sawe thee, O God: the waters sawe thee, and were afraide: yea, the depths trembled.
