Psalms - Chapter: 80


80:1	Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.
80:2	Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us.
80:3	Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
80:4	O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?
80:5	Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.
80:6	Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.
80:7	Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
80:8	Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.
80:9	Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.
80:10	The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.
80:11	She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.
80:12	Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?
80:13	The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.
80:14	Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;
80:15	And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.
80:16	It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
80:17	Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.
80:18	So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.
80:19	Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.


80:1	למנצח אל שׁשׁנים עדות לאסף מזמור׃ (80:2) רעה ישׂראל האזינה נהג כצאן יוסף ישׁב הכרובים הופיעה׃
80:2	(80:3) לפני אפרים ובנימן ומנשׁה עוררה את גבורתך ולכה לישׁעתה׃
80:3	(80:4) אלהים השׁיבנו והאר פניך ונושׁעה׃
80:4	(80:5) יהוה אלהים צבאות עד מתי עשׁנת בתפלת עמך׃
80:5	(80:6) האכלתם לחם דמעה ותשׁקמו בדמעות שׁלישׁ׃
80:6	(80:7) תשׂימנו מדון לשׁכנינו ואיבינו ילעגו׃
80:7	(80:8) אלהים צבאות השׁיבנו והאר פניך ונושׁעה׃
80:8	(80:9) גפן ממצרים תסיע תגרשׁ גוים ותטעה׃
80:9	(80:10) פנית לפניה ותשׁרשׁ שׁרשׁיה ותמלא ארץ׃
80:10	(80:11) כסו הרים צלה וענפיה ארזי אל׃
80:11	(80:12) תשׁלח קצירה עד ים ואל נהר יונקותיה׃
80:12	(80:13) למה פרצת גדריה וארוה כל עברי דרך׃
80:13	(80:14) יכרסמנה חזיר מיער וזיז שׂדי ירענה׃
80:14	(80:15) אלהים צבאות שׁוב נא הבט משׁמים וראה ופקד גפן זאת׃
80:15	(80:16) וכנה אשׁר נטעה ימינך ועל בן אמצתה׃
80:16	(80:17) שׂרפה באשׁ כסוחה מגערת פניך יאבדו׃
80:17	(80:18) תהי ידך על אישׁ ימינך על בן אדם אמצת׃
80:18	(80:19) ולא נסוג ממך תחינו ובשׁמך נקרא׃
80:19	(80:20) יהוה אלהים צבאות השׁיבנו האר פניך ונושׁעה׃


80:1	To the Overseer. -- `On the Lilies.' A testimony of Asaph. -- A Psalm. Shepherd of Israel, give ear, Leading Joseph as a flock, Inhabiting the cherubs -- shine forth,
80:2	Before Ephraim, and Benjamin, and Manasseh, Wake up Thy might, and come for our salvation.
80:3	O God, cause us to turn back, And cause Thy face to shine, and we are saved.
80:4	Jehovah, God of Hosts, till when? Thou hast burned against the prayer of Thy people.
80:5	Thou hast caused them to eat bread of tears, And causest them to drink With tears a third time.
80:6	Thou makest us a strife to our neighbors, And our enemies mock at it.
80:7	God of Hosts, turn us back, And cause Thy face to shine, and we are saved.
80:8	A vine out of Egypt Thou dost bring, Thou dost cast out nations, and plantest it.
80:9	Thou hast looked before it, and dost root it, And it filleth the land,
80:10	Covered have been hills `with' its shadow, And its boughs `are' cedars of God.
80:11	It sendeth forth its branches unto the sea, And unto the river its sucklings.
80:12	Why hast Thou broken down its hedges, And all passing by the way have plucked it?
80:13	A boar out of the forest doth waste it, And a wild beast of the fields consumeth it.
80:14	God of Hosts, turn back, we beseech Thee, Look from heaven, and see, and inspect this vine,
80:15	And the root that Thy right hand planted, And the branch Thou madest strong for Thee,
80:16	Burnt with fire -- cut down, From the rebuke of Thy face they perish.
80:17	Let Thy hand be on the man of Thy right hand, On the son of man Thou hast strengthened for Thyself.
80:18	And we do not go back from Thee, Thou dost revive us, and in Thy name we call.
80:19	O Jehovah, God of Hosts, turn us back, Cause Thy face to shine, and we are saved!
