Psalms - Chapter: 107

>
107:1O giue thankes vnto the Lord, for hee is good: for his mercie endureth for euer.
107:2Let the redeemed of the Lord say so: whome he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemie:
107:3And gathered them out of the lands, from the East and from the West: from the North and from the South.
107:4They wandred in the wildernes, in a solitary way: they found no citie to dwell in.
107:5Hungry and thirstie: their soule fainted in them.
107:6Then they cryed vnto the Lord in their trouble: and he deliuered them out of their distresses.
107:7And hee led them forth by the right way: that they might goe to a citie of habitation.
107:8Oh that men would praise the Lord, for his goodnesse: and for his wonderfull workes to the children of men.
107:9For he satisfieth the longing soule: and filleth the hungry soule with goodnesse.
107:10Such as sit in darknesse and in the shadowe of death: being bound in affliction and yron:
107:11Because they rebelled against the words of God: and contemned the counsell of the most high:
107:12Therefore hee brought downe their heart with labour: they fel downe, and there was none to helpe.
107:13Then they cryed vnto the Lord in their trouble: and he saued them out of their distresses.
107:14Hee brought them out of darkenesse, and the shadowe of death: and brake their bands insunder.
107:15Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodnesse: and for his wonderfull workes to the children of men.
107:16For he hath broken the gates of brasse: and cut the barres of yron in sunder.
107:17Fooles, because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
107:18Their soule abhorreth all manner of meate: and they drawe neere vnto the gates of death.
107:19Then they crie vnto the Lord in their trouble: he saueth them out of their distresses.
107:20Hee sent his word, and healed them: and deliuered them from their destructions.
107:21Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodnesse: and for his wonderfull workes, to the children of men.
107:22And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thankesgiuing: and declare his workes with reioycing.
107:23They that goe downe to the sea in shippes: that doe businesse in great waters:
107:24These see the workes of the Lord: and his wonders in the deepe.
107:25For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy winde: which lifteth vp the waues thereof.
107:26They mount vp to the heauen: they goe downe againe to the depthes: their soule is melted because of trouble.
107:27They reele to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man; and are at their wits end.
107:28Then they cry vnto the Lord in their trouble: and hee bringeth them out of their distresses.
107:29He maketh the storme a calme: so that the waues thereof are still.
107:30Then are they glad, because they be quiet: so he bringeth them vnto their desired hauen.
107:31Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodnesse; and for his wonderfull workes to the children of men:
107:32Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the Elders.
107:33Hee turneth riuers into a wildernesse: and the water springs into dry ground:
107:34A fruitfull land into barrennesse; for the wickednesse of them that dwell therein.
107:35He turneth the wildernesse into a standing water: and dry ground into water-springs.
107:36And there he maketh the hungry to dwell; that they may prepare a citie for habitation,
107:37And sowe the fields, and plant vineyards; which may yeeld fruits of increase.
107:38He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly: and suffreth not their cattell to decrease.
107:39Againe, they are minished and brought lowe through oppression, affliction and sorrow.
107:40Hee powreth contempt vpon princes: and causeth them to wander in the wildernesse, where there is no way.
107:41Yet setteth he the poore on high from affliction: and maketh him families like a flocke.
107:42The righteous shall see it, and reioyce; and all iniquitie shall stop her mouth.
107:43Who so is wise, and will obserue those things; euen they shall vnderstand the louing kindenesse of the Lord.

107:1Confesse you it vnto God: for he is gratious, and his mercy endureth for euer
107:2Let such as God did redeme speake: whom he hath redeemed from the hande of the enemie
107:3And whom he gathered out of the landes: from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south
107:4(107:4a) They went astray out of the way in solitarines and in wildernes, and found no citie to dwell in
107:5(107:4b) they were hungry and thirstie, their soule fainted in them
107:6(107:5) And they cry vnto god in their trouble: who deliuereth them from their distresse
107:7(107:6) And he leadeth them foorth by the right way: that they might go to the citie inhabited
107:8(107:7) O that men would confesse vnto God his louyng kindnesse: and his marueylous actes done to the chyldren of men
107:9(107:8) For he satisfieth the greedie soule: and filleth the hungry soule with goodnes
107:10(107:9) Suche as sit in darknesse and in the shadowe of death: beyng fast bounde in miserie and iron
107:11(107:10) Because they went from the wordes of the Lorde: and lightly regarded the counsayle of the most highest
107:12(107:11) Therfore he humbled their heart thorowe heauines: they fall downe, and there is none to helpe them
107:13(107:12) And they cry vnto god in their trouble: who deliuereth the out of their distresse
107:14(107:13) For he bringeth them out of darknesse and out of the shadowe of death: and breaketh their bondes in sunder
107:15(107:14) O that men would confesse vnto God: his louing kindnes and his marueylous actes done to the chyldren of men
107:16(107:15) For he breaketh the gates of brasse: & smyteth the barres of iron in sunder
107:17(107:16) Foolish men are plagued for their mischeuous wayes: & for their wickednes
107:18(107:17) Their soule abhorreth all maner of meate: and they be euen harde at deathes doore
107:19(107:18) And they crye vnto God in their trouble: who deliuereth them out of their distresse
107:20(107:19) he sendeth his worde & healeth them: and he maketh them to scape safe from their corruptnes
107:21(107:20) O that men would confesse vnto God: his louing kindnes and his marueylous actes done to the chyldren of men
107:22(107:21) And that they would offer vnto him sacrifices of thankes geuing: and set foorth in wordes his workes with a ioyfull noyse
107:23(107:22a) Such as go downe to the sea in ships and folowe their busines in great waters
107:24(107:22b) they see the workes of God, and his wonders in the deepe
107:25(107:23) For he commaundeth and causeth a stormie winde to arise: and he lifteth vp on high his waues
107:26(107:24) Then they ascende vp to heauen, and come downe agayne to the deepe: so that their soule melteth away through trouble
107:27(107:25) They reele to and fro, and they do stacker like a drunken man: and their wysdome fayleth them
107:28(107:26) And they cry vnto god in their trouble: who deliuereth the out of their distresse
107:29(107:27) For he maketh the storme to ceasse: so that the waues therof are still
107:30(107:28) Then be they glad because they are at rest: and he bringeth them to the hauen where they woulde be
107:31(107:29) O that men would confesse vnto god: his louyng kyndnes and meruaylous actes done to the chyldren of men
107:32(107:30) And that they would exalt him in the congregation of the people: and prayse him in the consistorie of the aged
107:33(107:31) He turneth fluddes into a wildernes: and waterspringes into a drye grounde
107:34(107:32) He maketh a fruitfull grounde barren: for the wickednes of them that dwell therein
107:35(107:33) Contrary he reduceth a wyldernes into a standing water: and a drye ground into water springes
107:36(107:34) And he setteth there the hungry: and they buylde them a citie to dwell in
107:37(107:35) And they sowe their lande and plant vineyardes: and they yelde vnto them aboundant store of fruites
107:38(107:36) He blesseth them, so that they multiplie exceedingly: and he suffereth not their cattle to decrease
107:39(107:37) But when they do fall from God, they are diminished & brought low: through oppression, calamitie, & griefe of minde
107:40(107:38) He bringeth princes into contempt: & he maketh them to wander in a wildernesse where there is no way at all
107:41(107:39) Yet he exalteth the poore out of miserie: and geueth him housholdes equall to flockes of cattell
107:42(107:40) The righteous will marke this and reioyce: and the mouth of all wickednesse shalbe stopped
107:43(107:41) Whosoeuer is wyse, he wyll both obserue these thinges: and also well consider the louing kindnesse of God

107:1Praise the Lord, because he is good: for his mercie endureth for euer.
107:2Let them, which haue bene redeemed of the Lord, shewe how he hath deliuered them from the hand of the oppressour,
107:3And gathered them out of the lands, from the East and from the West, from the North and from the South.
107:4When they wandered in the desert and wildernesse out of the waie, and founde no citie to dwell in,
107:5Both hungrie and thirstie, their soule fainted in them.
107:6Then they cried vnto the Lord in their trouble, and he deliuered them from their distresse,
107:7And led them forth by the right way, that they might goe to a citie of habitation.
107:8Let them therefore confesse before ye Lord his louing kindnesse, and his wonderfull woorkes before the sonnes of men.
107:9For he satisfied the thirstie soule, and filled the hungrie soule with goodnesse.
107:10They that dwell in darkenesse and in the shadowe of death, being bounde in miserie and yron,
107:11Because they rebelled against the wordes of the Lord, and despised the counsell of the most High,
107:12When he humbled their heart with heauines, then they fell downe and there was no helper.
107:13Then they cried vnto the Lord in their trouble, and he deliuered them from their distresse.
107:14He brought them out of darkenes, and out of the shadowe of death, and brake their bandes asunder.
107:15Let them therefore cofesse before the Lord his louing kindnesse, and his wonderfull woorkes before the sonnes of men.
107:16For hee hath broken the gates of brasse, and brast the barres of yron asunder.
107:17Fooles by reason of their transgression, and because of their iniquities are afflicted.
107:18Their soule abhorreth al meat, and they are brought to deaths doore.
107:19Then they crie vnto the Lord in their trouble, and he deliuereth them from their distresse.
107:20He sendeth his worde and healeth them, and deliuereth them from their graues.
107:21Let them therefore cofesse before the Lord his louing kindnesse, and his wonderful workes before the sonnes of men,
107:22And let them offer sacrifices of praise, and declare his workes with reioycing.
107:23They that goe downe to the sea in ships, and occupie by the great waters,
107:24They see the woorkes of the Lord, and his wonders in the deepe.
107:25For he commaundeth and raiseth the stormie winde, and it lifteth vp the waues thereof.
107:26They mount vp to the heauen, and descend to ye deepe, so that their soule melteth for trouble.
107:27They are tossed to and from, and stagger like a drunken man, and all their cunning is gone.
107:28Then they crie vnto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresse.
107:29He turneth the storme to calme, so that the waues thereof are still.
107:30When they are quieted, they are glad, and hee bringeth them vnto the hauen, where they would be.
107:31Let them therfore confesse before the Lord his louing kindnesse, and his wonderfull woorkes before the sonnes of men.
107:32And let them exalt him in the Congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the Elders.
107:33He turneth the floodes into a wildernesse, and the springs of waters into drinesse,
107:34And a fruitfull land into barrennes for the wickednes of them that dwell therein.
107:35Againe hee turneth the wildernesse into pooles of water, and the drie lande into water springs.
107:36And there he placeth the hungrie, and they builde a citie to dwell in,
107:37And sowe the fieldes, and plant vineyardes, which bring foorth fruitfull increase.
107:38For he blesseth them, and they multiplie exceedingly, and he diminisheth not their cattell.
107:39Againe men are diminished, and brought lowe by oppression, euill and sorowe.
107:40He powreth contempt vpon princes, and causeth them to erre in desert places out of the way.
107:41Yet he raiseth vp the poore out of miserie, and maketh him families like a flocke of sheepe.
107:42The righteous shall see it, and reioyce, and all iniquitie shall stoppe her mouth.
107:43Who is wise that hee may obserue these things? for they shall vnderstand the louing kindnesse of the Lord.
