Psalms - Chapter: 132

>
132:1[A Song of degrees.] Lord remember Dauid, and all his afflictions:
132:2How he sware vnto the Lord, and vowed vnto the mightie God of Iacob.
132:3Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house: nor goe vp into my bed.
132:4I will not giue sleepe to mine eyes: or slumber to mine eyelids,
132:5Untill I finde out a place for the Lord: an habitation for the mightie God of Iacob.
132:6Loe, wee heard of it at Ephrata: we found it in the fields of the wood.
132:7We will goe into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstoole.
132:8Arise, O Lord, into thy rest: thou, and the Arke of thy strength.
132:9Let thy Priestes be clothed with righteousnesse: and let thy saints shout for ioy.
132:10For thy seruant Dauids sake: turne not away the face of thine Anointed.
132:11The Lord hath sworne in trueth vnto Dauid, hee will not turne from it; of the fruit of thy body will I set vpon thy throne.
132:12If thy children will keepe my couenant and my testimonie, that I shall teach them; their children also shall sit vpon thy throne for euermore.
132:13For the Lord hath chosen Zion: he hath desired it for his habitation.
132:14This is my rest for euer: here will I dwell, for I haue desired it.
132:15I will abundantly blesse her prouision: I will satisfie her poore with bread.
132:16I will also clothe her priests with saluation: and her Saints shall shout aloud for ioy.
132:17There will I make the horne of Dauid to budde: I haue ordained a lampe for mine Anointed.
132:18His enemies will I clothe with shame: but vpon himselfe shall his crowne flourish.

132:1A song of degrees. Lord, remember Dauid with all his affliction.
132:2Who sware vnto the Lord, and vowed vnto the mightie God of Iaakob, saying,
132:3I will not enter into the tabernacle of mine house, nor come vpon my pallet or bed,
132:4Nor suffer mine eyes to sleepe, nor mine eye lids to slumber,
132:5Vntill I finde out a place for the Lord, an habitation for the mightie God of Iaakob.
132:6Lo, we heard of it in Ephrathah, and found it in the fieldes of the forest.
132:7We will enter into his Tabernacles, and worship before his footestoole.
132:8Arise, O Lord, to come into thy rest, thou, and the Arke of thy strength.
132:9Let thy Priests be clothed with righteousnesse, and let thy Saints reioyce.
132:10For thy seruant Dauids sake refuse not the face of thine Anointed.
132:11The Lord hath sworne in trueth vnto Dauid, and he wil not shrinke from it, saying, Of the fruite of thy body will I set vpon thy throne.
132:12If thy sonnes keepe my couenant, and my testimonies, that I shall teach them, their sonnes also shall sit vpon thy throne for euer.
132:13For the Lord hath chosen Zion, and loued to dwell in it, saying,
132:14This is my rest for euer: here will I dwell, for I haue a delite therein.
132:15I will surely blesse her vitailes, and will satisfie her poore with bread,
132:16And will clothe her Priests with saluation, and her Saints shall shoute for ioye.
132:17There will I make the horne of Dauid to bud: for I haue ordeined a light for mine Anoynted.
132:18His enemies will I clothe with shame, but on him his crowne shall florish.

132:1A songe of the steares. Lord, remembre Dauid, and all his trouble.
132:2Howe he swore vnto the Lorde, and vowed a vowe vnto the almyghtye God of Iacob:
132:3I wyll not come wythin the tabernacle of my house, nor clyme vp in to my bedd.
132:4I wyll not suffre myne eyes to slepe, nor myne eye lyddes to slomber.
132:5Untill I fynde out a place for the temple of the Lorde, an habitacion for the myghtye God of Iacob.
132:6Lo, we hearde of the same at Ephrata, and founde it in the wood.
132:7We wyll go in to hys tabernacle, and fall lowe on oure knees before hys fote stole.
132:8Aryse, O Lord, into thy restynge place, thou and the arcke of thy strength.
132:9Let thy Preastes be clothed wyth ryghteousnesse, & let thy saynctes synge with ioyfulnesse,
132:10For thy seruaunt Dauids sake, turne not awaye the presence of thyne anoynted.
132:11The Lorde hath made a faythfull othe vnto Dauid, & he shall not shryncke from it:
132:12Of the frute of thy body shall I set vpon thy seate.
132:13If thy chyldren wyll kepe my couenaunt, and my testimonyes that I shall lerne them: theyr chyldren also shall syt vpon thy seate for euermore.
132:14For the Lord hath chosen Sion, to be an habitacion for him selfe hath he longed for her.
132:15This shalbe my rest for euer, here wyll I dwell, for I haue a delyte therin.
132:16I wyll blesse her vytaylles wyth increasse, & will satisfye her poore wyth bread.
132:17I will decke her Preastes wt health, and her saynctes shall reioyse and synge.
132:18There shall I make the horne of Dauid to florysh, I haue ordened a lanterne for myne anoynted. As for hys enemyes, I shall clothe them wyth shame, but vpon hym selfe shall hys crowne floryshe.
