Psalms - Chapter: 147

>
147:1Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises vnto our God: for it is pleasant, and praise is comely.
147:2The Lord doeth build vp Ierusalem: he gathereth together the out-casts of Israel.
147:3Hee healeth the broken in heart: and bindeth vp their wounds.
147:4He telleth the number of the stars: he calleth them all by their names.
147:5Great is our Lord, and of great power: his vnderstanding is infinite.
147:6The Lord lifteth vp the meeke: hee casteth the wicked downe to the ground.
147:7Sing vnto the Lord with thankesgiuing: sing prayse vpon the harpe vnto our God:
147:8Who couereth the heauen with cloudes, who prepareth raine for the earth: who maketh grasse to growe vpon the mountaines.
147:9He giueth to the beast his foode: and to the yong rauens which crie.
147:10Hee delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.
147:11The Lord taketh pleasure in them that feare him: in those that hope in his mercie.
147:12Praise the Lord, O Ierusalem: praise thy God, O Zion.
147:13For hee hath strengthened the barres of thy gates: hee hath blessed thy children within thee.
147:14He maketh peace in thy borders: and filleth thee with the finest of the wheate.
147:15He sendeth forth his commandement vpon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.
147:16He giueth snow like wooll: he scattereth the hoare frost like ashes.
147:17He casteth forth his yce like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
147:18He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
147:19He sheweth his word vnto Iacob: his statutes and his iudgements vnto Israel.
147:20He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his iudgements, they haue not knowen them. Praise yee the Lord.

147:4He counteth the nomber of the starres, and calleth them all by their names.
147:5Great is our Lord, and great is his power: his wisdome is infinite.
147:6The Lord relieueth the meeke, and abaseth the wicked to the ground.
147:7Sing vnto the Lord with prayse: sing vpon the harpe vnto our God,
147:8Which couereth the heauen with cloudes, and prepareth raine for the earth, and maketh the grasse to growe vpon the mountaines:
147:9Which giueth to beasts their foode, and to the yong rauens that crie.
147:10He hath not pleasure in the strength of an horse, neither delighteth he in the legs of man.
147:11But the Lord deliteth in them that feare him, and attende vpon his mercie.
147:12Prayse the Lord, O Ierusalem: prayse thy God, O Zion.
147:13For he hath made the barres of thy gates strong, and hath blessed thy children within thee.
147:14He setteth peace in thy borders, and satisfieth thee with the floure of wheate.
147:15He sendeth foorth his commandement vpon earth, and his worde runneth very swiftly.
147:16He giueth snowe like wooll, and scattereth the hoare frost like ashes.
147:17He casteth foorth his yce like morsels: who can abide the colde thereof?
147:18He sendeth his worde and melteth them: he causeth his winde to blowe, and the waters flowe.
147:19He sheweth his word vnto Iaakob, his statutes and his iudgements vnto Israel.
147:20He hath not dealt so with euery nation, neither haue they knowen his iudgements. Prayse ye the Lord.

 

147:1O prayse the Lord, for it is a good thing to synge prayse vnto oure God: yee a ioyfull and pleasaunt thynge is it to be thankfull.
147:2The Lorde doth buylde vp Ierusalem, and shall gather to gether the outcastes of Israel.
147:3He healeth those that ar broken in harte & gyueth medycine to heale ther sycknes.
147:4He telleth the nombre of the starres, and calleth them all by ther names.
147:5Greate is oure Lorde, and greate is hys power: yee hys wysdome is infynite.
147:6The Lorde setteth vp the meke, and bryngeth the vngodly downe to the grounde.
147:7O synge vnto the Lorde with thankesgeuynge, synge prayse vpon the harpe vnto oure God.
147:8Whych couereth the heauen wyth cloudes, and prepareth rayne for the earth, and maketh the grasse to growe vpon the mountaynes.
147:9Whych geueth fodre vnto the catell, & fedeth the yong rauens that call vpon hym.
147:10He hath not pleasure in the strength of an horse, nether delyteth he in any mans legges.
147:11But the Lordes delyte is in them that feare hym, and put their trust in hys mercy.
147:12Prayse the Lord, O Ierusalem: prayse thy God, O Sion.
147:13For he hath made fast the barres of thy gates, & hath blessed thy chyldren wythin the.
147:14He maketh peace in thy borders, and fylleth the wyth the floure of wheate.
147:15He sendeth forth hys commaundement vpon earth, and hys worde runneth very swyftly.
147:16He geueth snowe lyke wolle, & scatereth the horefrost lyke ashes.
147:17He casteth forth hys yse lyke morsels, who is able to abyde hys frost?
147:18He sendeth out his worde & mealteth them, he bloweth with his wynd, and the waters flowe.
147:19He sheweth hys worde vnto Iacob, hys statutes & ordinaunces vnto Israel.
147:20He hath not dealte so wt anye nacyon, nether haue the heathen knowledge of hys lawes. Haleluiah.
