Proverbs - Chapter: 4

>
4:1Heare, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know vnderstanding.
4:2For I giue you good doctrine: forsake you not my law.
4:3For I was my fathers sonne, tender and onely beloued in the sight of my mother.
4:4He taught me also, and said vnto me, Let thine heart reteine my wordes: keepe my commandements, and liue.
4:5Get wisedome, get vnderstanding: forget it not, neither decline from the wordes of my mouth.
4:6Forsake her not, and she shall preserue thee: loue her, and she shall keepe thee.
4:7Wisedome is the principall thing, therefore get wisedome: and with all thy getting, get vnderstanding.
4:8Exalt her, and shee shall promote thee: shee shall bring thee to honour, when thou doest imbrace her.
4:9She shall giue to thine head an ornament of grace, a crowne of glory shall she deliuer to thee.
4:10Heare, O my sonne, and receiue my sayings: and the yeeres of thy life shalbe many.
4:11I haue taught thee in the way of wisedome: I haue lead thee in right pathes.
4:12When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitned, and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
4:13Take fast hold of instruction, let her not goe; keepe her, for she is thy life.
4:14Enter not into the path of the wicked, and goe not in the way of euill men.
4:15Auoid it, passe not by it, turne from it, and passe away.
4:16For they sleepe not except they haue done mischiefe: and their sleepe is taken away vnlesse they cause some to fall.
4:17For they eate the bread of wickednesse, and drinke the wine of violence.
4:18But the path of the iust is as the shining light that shineth more and more vnto the perfect day.
4:19The way of the wicked is as darknes: they know not at what they stumble.
4:20My sonne, attend to my words, incline thine eare vnto my sayings.
4:21Let them not depart from thine eyes: keepe them in the midst of thine heart.
4:22For they are life vnto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
4:23Keepe thy heart with all diligence: for out of it are the issues of life.
4:24Put away from thee a froward mouth, and peruerse lips put farre from thee.
4:25Let thine eyes looke right on, and let thine eye lids looke straight before thee.
4:26Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy wayes be established.
4:27Turne not to the right hande nor to the left: remoue thy foot fro euil.

4:1Heare O ye chyldren a fatherly instruction, & take good heede, that ye may learne vnderstanding
4:2For I haue geuen you a good doctrine, forsake not ye my lawe

4:4He taught me also and sayde vnto me, let thyne heart receaue my wordes, kepe my commaundementes and thou shalt liue
4:5Get thee wysdome, and get thee vnderstanding: forget not the wordes of my mouth, and shrinke not from them
4:6Forsake her not, and she shall preserue thee, loue her, and she shall kepe thee
4:7The chiefe poynt of wysdome, is to possesse wysdome: and before all thy goodes to get thee vnderstanding
4:8Make much of her, and she shall promote thee, yea if thou embrace her, she shall bryng thee vnto honour
4:9She shal beautifie thy head with manyfolde graces, and garnishe thee with a crowne of glory
4:10Heare my sonne, and receaue my wordes, and the yeres of thy life shalbe many
4:11I haue shewed thee the way of wysdome, & led thee into the right pathes
4:12So that if thou goest in them, there shall no straitnesse hinder thee: & when thou runnest, thou shalt not fall
4:13Take fast holde of doctrine, and let her not go: kepe her, for she is thy life
4:14Come not in the pathe of the vngodlye, and walke not in the way of the wicked
4:15Abhorre it and go not therein, depart aside, and passe ouer by it
4:16For they sleepe not except they haue done mischiefe: and sleepe is taken from them, vntyll they haue done harme
4:17For they eate the bread of wickednes, and drinke the wine of robberie
4:18The path of the righteous shineth, as the light that is euer bryghter and bryghter vnto the perfect day
4:19But the way of the vngodly is as the darkenesse, they knowe not where they fall
4:20My sonne marke my wordes, and encline thyne eare vnto my sayinges
4:21Let them not depart from thine eyes, but kepe them euen in the middest of thyne heart
4:22For they are life vnto those that finde them, and health vnto all their bodyes
4:23Kepe thyne heart with all diligence, for out of it issueth lyfe
4:24Put away from thee a frowarde mouth, and let the lippes of slaunder be farre from thee
4:25Let thyne eyes beholde that thyng that is right, and let thyne eye liddes loke straight before thee
4:26Ponder the path of thy feete, and let all thy wayes be ordred aright
4:27Turne not aside, neither to the right hande nor to the left: but wihholde thy foote from euyll

4:1Heare, O ye children, the instruction of a father, and giue eare to learne vnderstanding.
4:2For I doe giue you a good doctrine: therefore forsake yee not my lawe.
4:3For I was my fathers sonne, tender and deare in the sight of my mother,
4:4When he taught me, and sayde vnto me, Let thine heart holde fast my woordes: keepe my commandements, and thou shalt liue.
4:5Get wisedom: get vnderstading: forget not, neither decline from the woordes of my mouth.
4:6Forsake her not, and shee shall keepe thee: loue her and shee shall preserue thee.
4:7Wisedome is the beginning: get wisedome therefore: and aboue all thy possession get vnderstanding.
4:8Exalt her, and she shall exalt thee: she shall bring thee to honour, if thou embrace her.
4:9She shall giue a comely ornamet vnto thine head, yea, she shall giue thee a crowne of glorie.
4:10Heare, my sonne, and receiue my wordes, and the yeeres of thy life shalbe many.
4:11I haue taught thee in ye way of wisedom, and led thee in the pathes of righteousnesse.
4:12Whe thou goest, thy gate shall not be strait, and when thou runnest, thou shalt not fall.
4:13Take holde of instruction, and leaue not: keepe her, for shee is thy life.
4:14Enter not into the way of the wicked, and walke not in the way of euill men.
4:15Auoide it, and goe not by it: turne from it, and passe by.
4:16For they can not sleepe, except they haue done euill, and their sleepe departeth except they cause some to fall.
4:17For they eate the breade of wickednesse, and drinke the wine of violence.
4:18But the way of the righteous shineth as the light, that shineth more and more vnto the perfite day.
4:19The way of the wicked is as the darkenes: they knowe not wherein they shall fall.
4:20My sonne, hearken vnto my wordes, incline thine eare vnto my sayings.
4:21Let them not depart from thine eyes, but keepe them in the middes of thine heart.
