8:1	Doeth not Wisedome crie? & Understanding put foorth her voice?
8:2	Shee standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the pathes.
8:3	She cryeth at the gates, at the entrie of the citie, at the comming in at the doores.
8:4	Unto you, O men, I call, and my voice is to the sonnes of man.
8:5	O yee simple, vnderstand wisedome: and yee fooles, be yee of an vnderstanding heart.
8:6	Heare, for I will speake of excellent things: and the opening of my lippes shalbe right things.
8:7	For my mouth shall speake truth, and wickednesse is an abomination to my lippes.
8:8	All the words of my mouth are in righteousnes, there is nothing froward or peruerse in them.
8:9	They are all plaine to him that vnderstandeth: and right to them that find knowledge.
8:10	Receiue my instruction, and not siluer: and knowledge rather then choise gold.
8:11	For wisedome is better then rubies: and all the things that may be desired, are not to be compared to it.
8:12	I wisedome dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inuentions.
8:13	The feare of the Lord is to hate euill: pride and arrogancie, and the euill way, and the froward mouth doe I hate.
8:14	Counsell is mine, and sound wisedome: I am vnderstanding, I haue strength.
8:15	By me kings reigne, and princes decree iustice.
8:16	By me Princes rule, and Nobles, euen all the Iudges of the earth.
8:17	I loue them that loue me, and those that seeke me early, shall find me.
8:18	Riches and honour are with me, yea durable riches and righteousnesse.
8:19	My fruite is better then gold, yea then fine gold, and my reuenue then choise siluer.
8:20	I leade in the way of righteousnesse, in the midst of the pathes of iudgment.
8:21	That I may cause those that loue me, to inherite substance: and I will fill their treasures.
8:22	The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
8:23	I was set vp from euerlasting, from the beginning, or euer the earth was.
8:24	When there were no depthes, I was brought forth: when there were no fountaines abounding with water.
8:25	Before the mountaines were setled: before the hilles, was I brought foorth:
8:26	While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
8:27	When hee prepared the heauens, I was there: when he set a compasse vpon the face of the depth.
8:28	When he established the cloudes aboue: when he strengthned the fountaines of the deepe.
8:29	When he gaue to the sea his decree, that the waters should not passe his commandement: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
8:30	Then I was by him, as one brought vp with him: and I was daily his delight, reioycing alwayes before him:
8:31	Reioycing in the habitable part of his earth, and my delights were with the sonnes of men.
8:32	Nowe therefore hearken vnto me, O yee children: for blessed are they that keepe my wayes.
8:33	Heare instruction, and bee wise, and refuse it not.
8:34	Blessed is the man that heareth me: watching daily at my gates, waiting at the postes of my doores.
8:35	For whoso findeth mee, findeth life, and shall obtaine fauour of the Lord.
8:36	But hee that sinneth against me, wrongeth his owne soule; all they that hate me, loue death.

8:4	O men, I call vnto you, and vtter my voyce to the children of men.
8:5	O ye foolish men, vnderstand wisedome, and ye, O fooles, be wise in heart.
8:6	Giue eare, for I will speake of excellent things, and the opening of my lippes, shall teache things that be right.
8:7	For my mouth shall speake the trueth, and my lippes abhorre wickednesse.
8:8	All the wordes of my mouth are righteous: there is no lewdenes, nor frowardnesse in them.
8:9	They are all plaine to him that will vnderstande, and streight to them that woulde finde knowledge.
8:10	Receiue mine instruction, and not siluer, and knowledge rather then fine golde.
8:11	For wisdome is better then precious stones: and all pleasures are not to be compared vnto her.
8:12	I wisdome dwell with prudence, and I find foorth knowledge and counsels.
8:13	The feare of the Lord is to hate euill as pride, and arrogancie, and the euill way: and a mouth that speaketh lewde things, I doe hate.
8:14	I haue counsell and wisedome: I am vnderstanding, and I haue strength.
8:15	By me, Kings reigne, and princes decree iustice.
8:16	By me princes rule and the nobles, and all the iudges of the earth.
8:17	I loue them that loue me: and they that seeke me earely, shall finde me.
8:18	Riches and honour are with me: euen durable riches and righteousnesse.
8:19	My fruite is better then golde, euen then fine golde, and my reuenues better then fine siluer.
8:20	I cause to walke in the way of righteousnes, and in the middes of the paths of iudgement,
8:21	That I may cause them that loue me, to inherite substance, and I will fill their treasures.
8:22	The Lord hath possessed me in the beginning of his way: I was before his workes of olde.
8:23	I was set vp from euerlasting, from the beginning and before the earth.
8:24	When there were no depths, was I begotten, when there were no fountaines abounding with water.
8:25	Before the mountaines were setled: and before the hilles, was I begotten.
8:26	He had not yet made the earth, nor the open places, nor the height of the dust in the worlde.
8:27	When hee prepared the heauens, I was there, when he set the compasse vpon the deepe.
8:28	When he established the cloudes aboue, when he confirmed the fountaines of the deepe,
8:29	When he gaue his decree to the Sea, that the waters shoulde not passe his commandement: when he appointed the foundations of the earth,
8:30	Then was I with him as a nourisher, and I was dayly his delight reioycing alway before him,
8:31	And tooke my solace in the compasse of his earth: and my delite is with the children of men.
8:32	Therefore nowe hearken, O children, vnto me: for blessed are they that keepe my wayes.
8:33	Heare instruction, and be ye wise, and refuse it not: blessed is the man that heareth mee, watching dayly at my gates, and giuing attendance at the postes of my doores.
8:34	For he that findeth me, findeth life, and shall obteine fauour of the Lord.
8:35	But he that sinneth against me, hurteth his owne soule: and all that hate me, loue death.

8:3	doth she not crye before the whole cytie, and in the gates where men go out and in?
8:4	It is you, O ye men (sayeth she) whom I call: Unto (the chyldren of men) do I lyft vp my voyce.
8:5	Take hede vnto knowledge O ye ignoraunt be wyse in herte, O ye foles.
8:6	Geue eare, for I wyll speake of greate matters, and open my lyppes to tell thynges that be ryght.
8:7	For my throte shalbe talkynge of the trueth and my lyppes abhorre vngodlynesse.
8:8	All the wordes of my mouth are righteous, there is no frowarnedsse nor falshede therin.
8:9	They are all playne to soche as wyll vnderstande, and ryght to them that fynde knowledge.
8:10	Receaue my doctryne, and not syluer: and my knowledge, more then fyne golde.
8:11	For wysdome is more worth then precious stones, yee all thynges that thou canst desyre, maye not be compared vnto it.
8:12	I wysdome haue my dwellynge with knowledge, and prudent councell is myne awne.
8:13	The feare of the Lorde abhorreth wyckednesse, pryde dysdayne, and the euell waye: and a mouth that speaketh wycked thynges, I vtterly abhorre.
8:14	I can geue councell, and I conferre thinges: I haue vnderstanding, I haue strength.
8:15	Thorowe me, kynges reygne: thorowe me counselars make iust lawes.
8:16	Thorowe me, do prynces beare rule, and all iudges of the earth execute iudgement.
8:17	I am louynge vnto those that loue me: and they that seke me early shall fynde me.
8:18	Ryches and honoure are with me, ye excellent goodes and ryghteousnes.
8:19	My frute is better then golde and precious stone, and myne encrease more worth then fyne syluer.
8:20	I wyll guyde the in the waye of ryghteousnes, and in the strete of iudgement.
8:21	That I maye sende prosperite to those that loue me, and to encrease their treasure.
8:22	The Lorde him selfe had me in possessyon in the begynnynge of his wayes, or euer he beganne his worckes a fore tyme.
8:23	I haue bene ordened from euerlastynge, and from the begynnynge or euer the earth was made.
8:24	When I was borne, there were nether depthes nor sprynges of water.
8:25	Before the foundacyons of the mountaynes were layed, yee before all hylles was I borne.
8:26	The earth and all that is vpon the earth was not yet made, no not the grounde it selfe.
8:27	For when he made the heauens, I was present: when he sett vp the depthes in ordre,
8:28	when he hanged the cloudes aboue: when he fastened the sprynges of the depe:
8:29	When he shut the see within certayne bowndes, that the waters shulde not go ouer their marckes that he commaunded. When he layed the foundacyons of the earth
8:30	I was with him, ordrynge all thynges: delytinge dayly, and reioysynge all waye before him.
8:31	As for the rounde compase of thys worlde, I make it ioyfull: for my delyte is to be amonge the chyldren of men.
8:32	Therfore herken vnto me, O ye chyldren, blessed are they that kepe my wayes.
8:33	O geue eare vnto nurtoure, be wyse, and refuse it not.
8:34	Blessed is the man that heareth me, watchynge dayly at my gates, and geuynge attendaunce at the postes of my dores.
8:35	For who so fyndeth me, fyndeth lyfe, and shall obtayne fauour of the Lorde.
8:36	But who so offendeth agaynst me, hurteth his awne soule. All they that hate me, are the louers of death.
