Exodus - Chapter: 6


6:1	Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.
6:2	And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD:
6:3	And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
6:4	And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.
6:5	And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.
6:6	Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:
6:7	And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
6:8	And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD.
6:9	And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.
6:10	And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
6:11	Go in, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.
6:12	And Moses spake before the LORD, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?
6:13	And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, and gave them a charge unto the children of Israel, and unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.
6:14	These be the heads of their fathers' houses: The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel; Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi: these be the families of Reuben.
6:15	And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman: these are the families of Simeon.
6:16	And these are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari: and the years of the life of Levi were an hundred thirty and seven years.
6:17	The sons of Gershon; Libni, and Shimi, according to their families.
6:18	And the sons of Kohath; Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel: and the years of the life of Kohath were an hundred thirty and three years.
6:19	And the sons of Merari; Mahali and Mushi: these are the families of Levi according to their generations.
6:20	And Amram took him Jochebed his father's sister to wife; and she bare him Aaron and Moses: and the years of the life of Amram were an hundred and thirty and seven years.
6:21	And the sons of Izhar; Korah, and Nepheg, and Zichri.
6:22	And the sons of Uzziel; Mishael, and Elzaphan, and Zithri.
6:23	And Aaron took him Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab, sister of Naashon, to wife; and she bare him Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
6:24	And the sons of Korah; Assir, and Elkanah, and Abiasaph: these are the families of the Korhites.
6:25	And Eleazar Aaron's son took him one of the daughters of Putiel to wife; and she bare him Phinehas: these are the heads of the fathers of the Levites according to their families.
6:26	These are that Aaron and Moses, to whom the LORD said, Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.
6:27	These are they which spake to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt: these are that Moses and Aaron.
6:28	And it came to pass on the day when the LORD spake unto Moses in the land of Egypt,
6:29	That the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, I am the LORD: speak thou unto Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say unto thee.
6:30	And Moses said before the LORD, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?


6:1	ויאמר יהוה אל משׁה עתה תראה אשׁר אעשׂה לפרעה כי ביד חזקה ישׁלחם וביד חזקה יגרשׁם מארצו׃
6:2	וידבר אלהים אל משׁה ויאמר אליו אני יהוה׃
6:3	וארא אל אברהם אל יצחק ואל יעקב באל שׁדי ושׁמי יהוה לא נודעתי׃
6:4	וגם הקמתי את בריתי אתם לתת להם את ארץ כנען את ארץ מגריהם אשׁר גרו׃
6:5	וגם אני שׁמעתי את נאקת בני ישׂראל אשׁר מצרים מעבדים אתם ואזכר את בריתי׃
6:6	לכן אמר לבני ישׂראל אני יהוה והוצאתי אתכם מתחת סבלת מצרים והצלתי אתכם מעבדתם וגאלתי אתכם בזרוע נטויה ובשׁפטים גדלים׃
6:7	ולקחתי אתכם לי לעם והייתי לכם לאלהים וידעתם כי אני יהוה אלהיכם המוציא אתכם מתחת סבלות מצרים׃
6:8	והבאתי אתכם אל הארץ אשׁר נשׂאתי את ידי לתת אתה לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב ונתתי אתה לכם מורשׁה אני יהוה׃
6:9	וידבר משׁה כן אל בני ישׂראל ולא שׁמעו אל משׁה מקצר רוח ומעבדה קשׁה׃
6:10	וידבר יהוה אל משׁה לאמר׃
6:11	בא דבר אל פרעה מלך מצרים וישׁלח את בני ישׂראל מארצו׃
6:12	וידבר משׁה לפני יהוה לאמר הן בני ישׂראל לא שׁמעו אלי ואיך ישׁמעני פרעה ואני ערל שׂפתים׃
6:13	וידבר יהוה אל משׁה ואל אהרן ויצום אל בני ישׂראל ואל פרעה מלך מצרים להוציא את בני ישׂראל מארץ מצרים׃
6:14	אלה ראשׁי בית אבתם בני ראובן בכר ישׂראל חנוך ופלוא חצרן וכרמי אלה משׁפחת ראובן׃
6:15	ובני שׁמעון ימואל וימין ואהד ויכין וצחר ושׁאול בן הכנענית אלה משׁפחת שׁמעון׃
6:16	ואלה שׁמות בני לוי לתלדתם גרשׁון וקהת ומררי ושׁני חיי לוי שׁבע ושׁלשׁים ומאת שׁנה׃
6:17	בני גרשׁון לבני ושׁמעי למשׁפחתם׃
6:18	ובני קהת עמרם ויצהר וחברון ועזיאל ושׁני חיי קהת שׁלשׁ ושׁלשׁים ומאת שׁנה׃
6:19	ובני מררי מחלי ומושׁי אלה משׁפחת הלוי לתלדתם׃
6:20	ויקח עמרם את יוכבד דדתו לו לאשׁה ותלד לו את אהרן ואת משׁה ושׁני חיי עמרם שׁבע ושׁלשׁים ומאת שׁנה׃
6:21	ובני יצהר קרח ונפג וזכרי׃
6:22	ובני עזיאל מישׁאל ואלצפן וסתרי׃
6:23	ויקח אהרן את אלישׁבע בת עמינדב אחות נחשׁון לו לאשׁה ותלד לו את נדב ואת אביהוא את אלעזר ואת איתמר׃
6:24	ובני קרח אסיר ואלקנה ואביאסף אלה משׁפחת הקרחי׃
6:25	ואלעזר בן אהרן לקח לו מבנות פוטיאל לו לאשׁה ותלד לו את פינחס אלה ראשׁי אבות הלוים למשׁפחתם׃
6:26	הוא אהרן ומשׁה אשׁר אמר יהוה להם הוציאו את בני ישׂראל מארץ מצרים על צבאתם׃
6:27	הם המדברים אל פרעה מלך מצרים להוציא את בני ישׂראל ממצרים הוא משׁה ואהרן׃
6:28	ויהי ביום דבר יהוה אל משׁה בארץ מצרים׃
6:29	וידבר יהוה אל משׁה לאמר אני יהוה דבר אל פרעה מלך מצרים את כל אשׁר אני דבר אליך׃
6:30	ויאמר משׁה לפני יהוה הן אני ערל שׂפתים ואיך ישׁמע אלי פרעה׃


6:1	And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Now dost thou see that which I do to Pharaoh, for with a strong hand he doth send them away, yea, with a strong hand he doth cast them out of his land.'
6:2	And God speaketh unto Moses, and saith unto him, `I `am' Jehovah,
6:3	and I appear unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, as God Almighty; as to My name Jehovah, I have not been known to them;
6:4	and also I have established My covenant with them, to give to them the land of Canaan, the land of their sojournings, wherein they have sojourned;
6:5	and also I have heard the groaning of the sons of Israel, whom the Egyptians are causing to serve, and I remember My covenant.
6:6	`Therefore say to the sons of Israel, I `am' Jehovah, and I have brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and have delivered you from their service, and have redeemed you by a stretched-out arm, and by great judgments,
6:7	and have taken you to Me for a people, and I have been to you for God, and ye have known that I `am' Jehovah your God, who is bringing you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians;
6:8	and I have brought you in unto the land which I have lifted up My hand to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, and have given it to you -- a possession; I `am' Jehovah.'
6:9	And Moses speaketh so unto the sons of Israel, and they hearkened not unto Moses, for anguish of spirit, and for harsh service.
6:10	And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
6:11	`Go in, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he doth send the sons of Israel out of his land;
6:12	and Moses speaketh before Jehovah, saying, `Lo, the sons of Israel have not hearkened unto me, and how doth Pharaoh hear me, and I of uncircumcised lips?'
6:13	And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and chargeth them for the sons of Israel, and for Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt.
6:14	These `are' heads of the house of their fathers: Sons of Reuben first-born of Israel `are' Hanoch, and Phallu, Hezron, and Carmi: these `are' families of Reuben.
6:15	And sons of Simeon `are' Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul, son of the Canaanitess: these `are' families of Simeon.
6:16	And these `are' the names of the sons of Levi, as to their births: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari: and the years of the life of Levi `are' a hundred and thirty and seven years.

6:27	these are they who are speaking unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the sons of Israel from Egypt, this `is' Moses -- and Aaron.
6:28	And it cometh to pass in the day of Jehovah's speaking unto Moses in the land of Egypt,
6:29	that Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying, `I `am' Jehovah, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I am speaking unto thee.'
6:30	And Moses saith before Jehovah, `Lo, I `am' of uncircumcised lips, and how doth Pharaoh hearken unto me?'
