10:1	And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these my signs before him:
10:2	And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD.
10:3	And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.
10:4	Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:
10:5	And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field:
10:6	And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers' fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.
10:7	And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed?
10:8	And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve the LORD your God: but who are they that shall go?
10:9	And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD.
10:10	And he said unto them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you.
10:11	Not so: go now ye that are men, and serve the LORD; for that ye did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.
10:12	And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail hath left.
10:13	And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.
10:14	And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.
10:15	For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.
10:16	Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, I have sinned against the LORD your God, and against you.
10:17	Now therefore forgive, I pray thee, my sin only this once, and intreat the LORD your God, that he may take away from me this death only.
10:18	And he went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the LORD.
10:19	And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt.
10:20	But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go.
10:21	And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.
10:22	And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:
10:23	They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
10:24	And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you.
10:25	And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God.
10:26	Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither.
10:27	But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go.
10:28	And Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in that day thou seest my face thou shalt die.
10:29	And Moses said, Thou hast spoken well, I will see thy face again no more.


10:1	ויאמר יהוה אל משׁה בא אל פרעה כי אני הכבדתי את לבו ואת לב עבדיו למען שׁתי אתתי אלה בקרבו׃
10:2	ולמען תספר באזני בנך ובן בנך את אשׁר התעללתי במצרים ואת אתתי אשׁר שׂמתי בם וידעתם כי אני יהוה׃
10:3	ויבא משׁה ואהרן אל פרעה ויאמרו אליו כה אמר יהוה אלהי העברים עד מתי מאנת לענת מפני שׁלח עמי ויעבדני׃
10:4	כי אם מאן אתה לשׁלח את עמי הנני מביא מחר ארבה בגבלך׃
10:5	וכסה את עין הארץ ולא יוכל לראת את הארץ ואכל את יתר הפלטה הנשׁארת לכם מן הברד ואכל את כל העץ הצמח לכם מן השׂדה׃
10:6	ומלאו בתיך ובתי כל עבדיך ובתי כל מצרים אשׁר לא ראו אבתיך ואבות אבתיך מיום היותם על האדמה עד היום הזה ויפן ויצא מעם פרעה׃
10:7	ויאמרו עבדי פרעה אליו עד מתי יהיה זה לנו למוקשׁ שׁלח את האנשׁים ויעבדו את יהוה אלהיהם הטרם תדע כי אבדה מצרים׃
10:8	ויושׁב את משׁה ואת אהרן אל פרעה ויאמר אלהם לכו עבדו את יהוה אלהיכם מי ומי ההלכים׃
10:9	ויאמר משׁה בנערינו ובזקנינו נלך בבנינו ובבנותנו בצאננו ובבקרנו נלך כי חג יהוה׃
10:10	ויאמר אלהם יהי כן יהוה עמכם כאשׁר אשׁלח אתכם ואת טפכם ראו כי רעה נגד פניכם׃
10:11	לא כן לכו נא הגברים ועבדו את יהוה כי אתה אתם מבקשׁים ויגרשׁ אתם מאת פני פרעה׃
10:12	ויאמר יהוה אל משׁה נטה ידך על ארץ מצרים בארבה ויעל על ארץ מצרים ויאכל את כל עשׂב הארץ את כל אשׁר השׁאיר הברד׃
10:13	ויט משׁה את מטהו על ארץ מצרים ויהוה נהג רוח קדים בארץ כל היום ההוא וכל הלילה הבקר היה ורוח הקדים נשׂא את הארבה׃
10:14	ויעל הארבה על כל ארץ מצרים וינח בכל גבול מצרים כבד מאד לפניו לא היה כן ארבה כמהו ואחריו לא יהיה כן׃
10:15	ויכס את עין כל הארץ ותחשׁך הארץ ויאכל את כל עשׂב הארץ ואת כל פרי העץ אשׁר הותיר הברד ולא נותר כל ירק בעץ ובעשׂב השׂדה בכל ארץ מצרים׃
10:16	וימהר פרעה לקרא למשׁה ולאהרן ויאמר חטאתי ליהוה אלהיכם׃
10:17	ועתה שׂא נא חטאתי אך הפעם והעתירו ליהוה אלהיכם ויסר מעלי רק את המות הזה׃
10:18	ויצא מעם פרעה ויעתר אל יהוה׃
10:19	ויהפך יהוה רוח ים חזק מאד וישׂא את הארבה ויתקעהו ימה סוף לא נשׁאר ארבה אחד בכל גבול מצרים׃
10:20	ויחזק יהוה את לב פרעה ולא שׁלח את בני ישׂראל׃
10:21	ויאמר יהוה אל משׁה נטה ידך על השׁמים ויהי חשׁך על ארץ מצרים וימשׁ חשׁך׃
10:22	ויט משׁה את ידו על השׁמים ויהי חשׁך אפלה בכל ארץ מצרים שׁלשׁת ימים׃
10:23	לא ראו אישׁ את אחיו ולא קמו אישׁ מתחתיו שׁלשׁת ימים ולכל בני ישׂראל היה אור במושׁבתם׃
10:24	ויקרא פרעה אל משׁה ויאמר לכו עבדו את יהוה רק צאנכם ובקרכם יצג גם טפכם ילך עמכם׃
10:25	ויאמר משׁה גם אתה תתן בידנו זבחים ועלת ועשׂינו ליהוה אלהינו׃
10:26	וגם מקננו ילך עמנו לא תשׁאר פרסה כי ממנו נקח לעבד את יהוה אלהינו ואנחנו לא נדע מה נעבד את יהוה עד באנו שׁמה׃
10:27	ויחזק יהוה את לב פרעה ולא אבה לשׁלחם׃
10:28	ויאמר לו פרעה לך מעלי השׁמר לך אל תסף ראות פני כי ביום ראתך פני תמות׃
10:29	ויאמר משׁה כן דברת לא אסף עוד ראות פניך׃


10:1	And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Go in unto Pharaoh, for I have declared hard his heart, and the heart of his servants, so that I set these My signs in their midst,
10:2	and so that thou recountest in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, that which I have done in Egypt, and My signs which I have set among them, and ye have known that I `am' Jehovah.'
10:3	And Moses cometh in -- Aaron also -- unto Pharaoh, and they say unto him, `Thus said Jehovah, God of the Hebrews, Until when hast thou refused to be humbled at My presence? send My people away, and they serve Me,
10:4	for if thou art refusing to send My people away, lo, I am bringing in to-morrow the locust into thy border,
10:5	and it hath covered the eye of the land, and none is able to see the land, and it hath eaten the remnant of that which is escaped, which is left to you from the hail, and it hath eaten every tree which is springing for you out of the field;
10:6	and they have filled thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians, which neither thy fathers nor thy father's fathers have seen, since the day of their being on the ground unto this day,' -- and he turneth and goeth out from Pharaoh.
10:7	And the servants of Pharaoh say unto him, `Until when doth this `one' become a snare to us? send the men away, and they serve Jehovah their God; knowest thou not yet that Egypt hath perished?'
10:8	And Moses is brought back -- Aaron also -- unto Pharaoh, and he saith unto them, `Go, serve Jehovah your God; -- who and who `are' those going?'
10:9	And Moses saith, `With our young ones, and with our aged ones, we go, with our sons, and with our daughters, with our flock, and our herd, we go, for we have a festival to Jehovah.'
10:10	And he saith unto them, `Be it so, Jehovah `be' with you when I send you and your infants away; see -- for evil `is' before your faces;
10:11	not so! go now, ye who `are' men, and serve Jehovah, for that ye are seeking;' and `one' casteth them out from the presence of Pharaoh.
10:12	And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Stretch out thy hand against the land of Egypt for the locust, and it goeth up against the land of Egypt, and doth eat every herb of the land -- all that the hail hath left.'
10:13	And Moses stretcheth out his rod against the land of Egypt, and Jehovah hath led an east wind over the land all that day, and all the night; the morning hath been, and the east wind hath lifted up the locust.
10:14	And the locust goeth up against all the land of Egypt, and resteth in all the border of Egypt -- very grievous: before it there hath not been such a locust as it, and after it there is none such;
10:15	and it covereth the eye of all the land, and the land is darkened; and it eateth every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail hath left, and there hath not been left any green thing in the trees, or in the herb of the field, in all the land of Egypt.'
10:16	And Pharaoh hasteth to call for Moses and for Aaron, and saith, `I have sinned against Jehovah your God, and against you,
10:17	and now, bear with, I pray you, my sin, only this time, and make ye supplication to Jehovah your God, that He turn aside from off me only this death.'
10:18	And he goeth out from Pharaoh, and maketh supplication unto Jehovah,
10:19	and Jehovah turneth a very strong sea wind, and it lifteth up the locust, and bloweth it into the Red Sea -- there hath not been left one locust in all the border of Egypt;
10:20	and Jehovah strengtheneth the heart of Pharaoh, and he hath not sent the sons of Israel away.
10:21	And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Stretch out thy hand towards the heavens, and there is darkness over the land of Egypt, and the darkness is felt.'
10:22	And Moses stretcheth out his hand towards the heavens, and there is darkness -- thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days;
10:23	they have not seen one another, and none hath risen from his place three days; and to all the sons of Israel there hath been light in their dwellings.'
10:24	And Pharaoh calleth unto Moses and saith, `Go ye, serve Jehovah, only your flock and your herd are stayed, your infants also go with you;'
10:25	and Moses saith, `Thou also dost give in our hand sacrifices and burnt-offerings, and we have prepared for Jehovah our God;
10:26	and also our cattle doth go with us, there is not left a hoof, for from it we do take to serve Jehovah our God; and we -- we know not how we do serve Jehovah till our going thither.'
10:27	And Jehovah strengtheneth the heart of Pharaoh, and he hath not been willing to send them away;
10:28	and Pharaoh saith to him, `Go from me, take heed to thyself, add not to see my face, for in the day thou seest my face thou diest;'
10:29	and Moses saith, `Rightly hast thou spoken, I add not any more to see thy face.'
