Isaiah - Chapter: 4

>
4:1And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.
4:2In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
4:3And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:
4:4When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.
4:5And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.
4:6And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

 

4:1And in that day shall seuen women take hold of one man, saying, Wee will eate our owne bread, and we wil weare our owne garments: onely let vs bee called by thy name, and take away our reproche.
4:2In that day shall the budde of the Lord bee beautifull and glorious, and the fruite of the earth shalbe excellent and pleasant for them that are escaped of Israel.
4:3Then hee that shalbe left in Zion, and hee that shall remaine in Ierusalem, shalbe called holy, and euery one shalbe written among the liuing in Ierusalem,
4:4When the Lord shall wash the filthines of the daughters of Zion, and purge the blood of Ierusalem out of the middes thereof by the spirite of iudgement, and by the spirit of burning.
4:5And the Lord shall create vpon euery place of mount Zion, and vpon the assemblies thereof, a cloude and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for vpon all the glory shall be a defence.
4:6And a couering shalbe for a shadow in the day for the heate, and a place of refuge and a couert for the storme and for the raine.

 

4:1Then shall seuen wyues take holde of one man, and saye: we wyll laye all our meate and clothynge together in comen, only that we may be called thy wyues, & that thys shamefull reprofe maye be taken from vs.
4:2After that tyme shall the braunche of the Lorde be bewtyfull and myghtye, and the frute of the earth shalbe fayre and pleasaunt for those Israelytes that shal spring therof.
4:3Then shall the remnaunt in Sion & the remnaunt at Ierusalem be called holy: Namely all soch as are wrytten among the lyuynge at Ierusalem:
4:4What tyme as the Lorde shall wasth awaye the fylthynes of the daughters of Sion, and pourge the bloude out from Ierusalem with the wynde of hys iudgmente and with fyre.
4:5Moreouer, vpon all the dwellynges of the hyll of Sion and vpon theyr whole congregacion, shall the Lorde prouyde a cloude and smoke by daye, & the shynynge of a flammynge fyre by nyght: for all theyr glory shalbe preserued.
4:6And Ierusalem shall be a tabernacle for a shadowne because of hete in the daye tyme a place and refuge where a man maye kepe hym from wether & rayne.
