6:1 | In the yeere that King Uzziah died, I saw also the Lord sitting vpon a throne, high and lifted vp, and his traine filled the Temple. |
6:2 | Aboue it stood the Seraphims: each one had sixe wings, with twaine he couered his face, and with twaine hee couered his feete, and with twaine hee did flie. |
6:3 | And one cryed vnto another, and sayd; Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hostes, the whole earth is full of his glory. |
6:4 | And the posts of the doore moued at the voyce of him that cryed, and the house was filled with smoke. |
6:5 | Then sayd I; woe is me; for I am vndone, because I am a man of vncleane lippes, and I dwell in the midst of a people of vncleane lippes: for mine eyes haue seene the king, the Lord of hostes. |
6:6 | Then flew one of the Seraphims vnto mee, hauing a liue-cole in his hand, which hee had taken with the tongs from off the altar. |
6:7 | And he laide it vpon my mouth, and sayd, Loe, this hath touched thy lippes, and thine iniquitie is taken away, and thy sinne purged. |
6:8 | Also I heard the voyce of the Lord, saying; Whom shall I send, and who will goe for vs? Then I saide; Heere am I, send me. |
6:9 | And he sayd, Goe and tell this people; Heare yee indeede, but vnderstand not: and see yee indeed, but perceiue not. |
6:10 | Make the heart of this people fat, and make their eares heauy, and shut their eyes: lest they see with their eyes, and heare with their eares, and vnderstand with their heart, and conuert and be healed. |
6:11 | Then sayd I; Lord, how long? And hee answered, Untill the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be vtterly desolate, |
6:12 | And the Lord haue remoued men farre away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land. |
6:13 | But yet in it shalbe a tenth, and it shall returne, and shall be eaten: as a Teyle tree, and as an Oke whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaues: so the holy seede shall be the substance thereof. |

6:4 | And the lintels of the doore checkes moued at his crying, and the house was full of smoke |
6:5 | Then sayd I, Wo is me, for I am lost, in as much as I am a man of vncleane lippes, and dwell among people that hath vncleane lippes also: for mine eyes haue seene the kyng the Lorde of hoastes |
6:6 | Then flewe one of the Seraphims vnto me, hauing a hote cole in his hand, whiche he had taken from the aulter with the tongues |
6:7 | And layde it vpon my mouth, and sayde: Lo, this hath touched thy lippes, and thine vnrighteousnesse shalbe taken away, and thy sinne forgeuen |
6:8 | Also I hearde the voyce of the Lorde on this maner: whom shall I sende, and who wyll be our messenger? Then I sayde, Here am I, sende me |
6:9 | And he sayd, Go and tell this people: Heare in deede, yet vnderstande not, ye shall playnely see, and yet perceaue not |
6:10 | Harden the heart of this people, stop their eares, and shut their eyes: lest they see with their eyes, heare with their eares, and vnderstande with their heartes, and conuert and be healed |
6:11 | Then spake I, Lord, howe long? He aunswered, vntill the cities be vtterly wasted without inhabiters, and the houses without men, and tyll the lande be also vtterly desolate |
6:12 | For the Lorde shall put the men farre away, and there shalbe great waste in the middest of the lande |
6:13 | Yet in it shall succeede ten kinges, and it shall returne and be afterwarde wasted: But as the Teyle tree and the Oke in the fall of their leaues haue yet the sappe remayning in them, euen so the holy seede shalbe the stay therof |

6:6 | Then flewe one of the Seraphims vnto me with an hote cole in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with the tongs: |
6:7 | And he touched my mouth, and sayd, Loe, this hath touched thy lips, and thine iniquitie shall be taken away, and thy sinne shalbe purged. |
6:8 | Also I heard the voyce of the Lord, saying, Whome shall I send? and who shall goe for vs? Then I sayd, Here am I, send me. |
6:9 | And he sayd, Goe, and say vnto this people, Ye shall heare in deede, but ye shall not vnderstand: ye shall plainely see, and not perceiue. |
6:10 | Make the heart of this people fatte, make their eares heauie, and shut their eyes, lest they see with their eyes, and heare with their eares, and vnderstand with their hearts, and conuert, and he heale them. |
6:11 | Then sayd I, Lord, howe long? And he answered, Vntill the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be vtterly desolate, |
6:12 | And the Lord haue remoued men farre away, and there be a great desolation in the mids of the land. |
6:13 | But yet in it shalbe a tenth, and shall returne, and shalbe eaten vp as an elme or an oke, which haue a substance in them, when they cast their leaues: so the holy seede shall be the substance thereof. |
