Isaiah - Chapter: 43

>
43:1And now, thus said Jehovah, Thy Creator, O Jacob, and thy Fashioner, O Israel, Be not afraid, for I have redeemed thee, I have called on thy name -- thou `art' Mine.
43:2When thou passest into waters, I `am' with thee, And into floods, they do not overflow thee, When thou goest into fire, thou art not burnt, And a flame doth not burn against thee.
43:3For I -- Jehovah thy God, The Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour, I have appointed Egypt thine atonement, Cush and Seba in thy stead.
43:4Since thou wast precious in Mine eyes, Thou wast honoured, and I have loved thee, And I appoint men in thy stead, And peoples instead of thy life.
43:5Be not afraid, for I `am' with thee, From the east I bring in thy seed, And from the west I gather thee.
43:6I am saying to the north, `Give up,' And to the south, `Restrain not.' Bring in My sons from afar, And My daughters from the end of the earth.
43:7Every one who is called by My name, Even for My honour I have created him, I have formed him, yea, I have made him.
43:8He brought out a blind people who have eyes, And deaf ones who have ears.
43:9All the nations have been gathered together, And the peoples are assembled, Who among them declareth this, And former things causeth us to hear? They give their witnesses, And they are declared righteous, And they hear and say, `Truth.'
43:10Ye `are' My witnesses, an affirmation of Jehovah, And My servant whom I have chosen, So that ye know and give credence to Me, And understand that I `am' He, Before Me there was no God formed, And after Me there is none.
43:11I -- I `am' Jehovah, And besides Me there is no saviour.
43:12I -- I declared, and saved, and proclaimed, And there is no stranger with you, And ye `are' My witnesses, an affirmation of Jehovah, And I `am' God.
43:13Even from the day I `am' He, And there is no deliverer from My hand, I work, and who doth turn it back?
43:14Thus said Jehovah, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: `For your sake I have sent to Babylon, And caused bars to descend -- all of them, And the Chaldeans, whose song `is' in the ships.
43:15I `am' Jehovah, your Holy One, Creator of Israel, your King.'
43:16Thus said Jehovah, Who is giving in the sea a way, And in the strong waters a path.
43:17Who is bringing forth chariot and horse, A force, even a strong one: `Together they lie down -- they rise not, They have been extinguished, As flax they have been quenched.'
43:18Remember not former things, And ancient things consider not.
43:19Lo, I am doing a new thing, now it springeth up, Do ye not know it? Yea, I put in a wilderness a way, In a desolate place -- floods.
43:20Honour me doth the beast of the field, Dragons and daughters of an ostrich, For I have given in a wilderness waters, Floods in a desolate place, To give drink to My people -- My chosen.
43:21This people I have formed for Myself, My praise they recount.
43:22And Me thou hast not called, O Jacob, For thou hast been wearied of me, O Israel,
43:23Thou hast not brought in to Me, The lamb of thy burnt-offerings, And `with' thy sacrifices thou hast not honoured Me, I have not caused thee to serve with a present, Nor wearied thee with frankincense.
43:24Thou hast not bought for Me with money sweet cane, And `with' the fat of thy sacrifices hast not filled Me, Only -- thou hast caused Me to serve with thy sins, Thou hast wearied Me with thine iniquities.
43:25I -- I `am' He who is blotting out Thy transgressions for Mine own sake, And thy sins I do not remember.
43:26Cause me to remember -- we are judged together, Declare thou that thou mayest be justified.
43:27Thy first father sinned, And thine interpreters transgressed against me,
43:28And I pollute princes of the sanctuary, And I give Jacob to destruction, and Israel to revilings!

43:1But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
43:2When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
43:3For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
43:4Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
43:5Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
43:6I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
43:7Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
43:8Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.
43:9Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.
43:10Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
43:11I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
43:12I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.
43:13Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?
43:14Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships.
43:15I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.
43:16Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
43:17Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.
43:18Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
43:19Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
43:20The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
43:21This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
43:22But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.
43:23Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense.
43:24Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.
43:25I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
43:26Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
43:27Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.
43:28Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.

43:1But now so says Jehovah who formed you, O Jacob; and He who made you, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I called you by your name; you are Mine.
43:2When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk in the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame kindle on you.
43:3For I am Jehovah your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I gave Egypt for your atonement; Ethiopia and Seba instead of you.
43:4Since you were precious in My eyes, you are honored, and I love you; and I give men instead of you; and peoples instead of your soul.
43:5Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your seed from the sunrise; and I will gather you from the sunset.
43:6I will say to the north, Give up! And to the south, Do not hold back! Bring My sons from afar, and bring My daughters from the ends of the earth;
43:7everyone who is called by My name, and I have created him for My glory; I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
43:8Bring out the blind people, yet there are eyes; and the deaf, yet there are ears to him.
43:9Let all the nations be assembled, and let the peoples be gathered. Who among them can declare this and cause us to hear former things? Let them give their witnesses, that they may be justified. Or let them hear and say, It is true.
43:10You are My witnesses, says Jehovah; and My servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed; nor shall any be after Me.
43:11I, I am Jehovah; and there is no Savior besides Me.
43:12I declared, and I saved, and I proclaimed; and there is not an alien god among you. And you are My witnesses, says Jehovah, and I am God.
43:13Yea, from this day I am He, and no one delivers from My hand. I will work, and who will reverse it?
43:14So says Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down as fugitives all of them, even the Chaldeans, whose shout is in the ships.
43:15I am Jehovah, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.
43:16So says Jehovah, who makes a way in the sea, and a path in mighty waters;
43:17who brings out chariot and horse, force and power; they shall lie down together; they shall not rise; they are put out; they are snuffed out like the wick.
43:18Do not remember former things, nor consider the things of old.
43:19Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall sprout. Shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.
43:20The beast of the field shall honor Me, jackals and daughters of ostriches; because I give waters in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen.
43:21The people that I formed for Myself shall declare My praise.
43:22But you have not called on Me, Jacob; but you have been weary of Me, Israel.
43:23You have not brought Me the lamb of your burnt offerings; even your sacrifices have not honored Me. I have not caused you to serve with an offering, nor wearied you with incense.
43:24You have not bought calamus for Me with silver, nor have you filled Me with fat of your sacrifices; but you made Me serve by your sins; you wearied Me by your iniquities.
43:25I, even I, am He who blots out your trespasses for My sake; and I will not remember your sins.
43:26Cause Me to remember; let us enter into judgment together; sum up for yourself, that you may be justified.
43:27Your first father sinned, and your interpreters transgressed against Me.
43:28And I will defile the rulers of the sanctuary, and will give Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reviling.
