Isaiah - Chapter: 46

>
46:1Bowed down hath Bel, stooping is Nebo, Their idols have been for the beast and for cattle, Your burdens are loaded, a burden to the weary.
46:2They have stooped, they have bowed together, They have not been able to deliver the burden, And themselves into captivity have gone.
46:3Hearken unto Me, O house of Jacob, And all the remnant of Israel, Who are borne from the belly, Who are carried from the womb,
46:4Even to old age I `am' He, and to grey hairs I carry, I made, and I bear, yea, I carry and deliver.
46:5To whom do ye liken Me, and make equal? And compare Me, that we may be like?
46:6-- They are pouring out gold from a bag, And silver on the beam they weigh, They hire a refiner, and he maketh it a god, They fall down, yea, they bow themselves.
46:7They lift him up on the shoulder, They carry him, and cause him to rest in his place, And he standeth, from his place he moveth not, Yea, one crieth unto him, and he answereth not, From his adversity he saveth him not.
46:8Remember this, and shew yourselves men, Turn `it' back, O transgressors, to the heart.
46:9Remember former things of old, For I `am' Mighty, and there is none else, God -- and there is none like Me.
46:10Declaring from the beginning the latter end, And from of old that which hath not been done, Saying, `My counsel doth stand, And all My delight I do.'
46:11Calling from the east a ravenous bird, From a far land the man of My counsel, Yea, I have spoken, yea, I bring it in, I have formed `it', yea, I do it.
46:12Hearken unto Me, ye mighty in heart, Who are far from righteousness.
46:13I have brought near My righteousness, It is not far off, And My salvation -- it doth not tarry, And I have given in Zion salvation, To Israel My glory!

46:1Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages were heavy loaden; they are a burden to the weary beast.
46:2They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.
46:3Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:
46:4And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
46:5To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?
46:6They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship.
46:7They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
46:8Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.
46:9Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
46:10Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
46:11Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.
46:12Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness:
46:13I bring near my righteousness: it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

46:1Bel has bowed; Nebo stoops; their idols are for the beast, and for the cattle; your things carried are loads; a burden for the weary.
46:2They stoop; they bow together; they are not able to deliver the burden; and their soul has gone into captivity.
46:3Listen to me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel; who are borne from the belly, who are lifted from the womb:
46:4Even to old age I am He; and I will bear to gray hair; I made, and I will carry; and I will bear and deliver.
46:5To whom will you compare and make Me equal; yea, compare Me, that we may be alike?
46:6Those who lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver on the measuring rod; they hire a refiner and he makes it a god. They fall down; yea, they worship.
46:7They carry it on the shoulder; they bear it and set it in its place, and it stands; it shall not move from its place. Yes, he cries to it, but it does not answer, it does not save him from his distress.
46:8Remember this and be a man; return it on your heart, transgressors.
46:9Remember former things from forever, for I am God, and no one else is God, even none like Me,
46:10declaring the end from the beginning, and from the past those things which were not done, saying, My purpose shall rise; and, I will do all My desire;
46:11calling a bird of prey from the sunrise, the man of My counsel from a far off land. Yes, I have spoken; yes, I will cause it to come; I have formed; yes, I will do it.
46:12Listen to Me, mighty ones of heart who are far from righteousness:
46:13I bring near My righteousness; it shall not be far off, and My salvation shall not wait; I will place salvation in Zion, My glory for Israel.
