Isaiah - Chapter: 55

>
55:1Ho, euery one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money: come ye, buy and eate, yea come, buy wine and milke without money, and without price.
55:2Wherefore doe yee spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently vnto me, and eate ye that which is good, and let your soule delight it selfe in fatnesse.
55:3Incline your eare, and come vnto me: heare, and your soule shall liue, and I will make an euerlasting couenant with you, euen the sure mercies of Dauid.
55:4Behold, I haue giuen him for a witnesse to the people, a leader and commander to the people.
55:5Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee, shall runne vnto thee, because of the Lord thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel, for he hath glorified thee.
55:6Seeke ye the Lord, while he may be found, call ye vpon him while he is neere.
55:7Let the wicked forsake his way, & the vnrighteous man his thoughts: and let him returne vnto the Lord, and he will haue mercie vpon him, and to our God, for hee will abundantly pardon.
55:8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your wayes my wayes, saith the Lord.
55:9For as the heauens are higher then the earth, so are my wayes higher then your wayes, and my thoughts then your thouhts.
55:10For as the raine commeth down, and the snow from heauen, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring foorth and bud, that it may giue seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
55:11So shall my word bee that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not returne vnto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
55:12For ye shall goe out with ioy, and bee led foorth with peace: the mountaines and the hilles shall breake forth before you into singing, and al the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
55:13In stead of the thorne shall come vp the Firre tree, and in stead of the brier shall come vp the Myrtle tree, and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an euerlasting signe that shall not bee cut off.

55:1Ho, euery one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and ye that haue no siluer, come, bye and eate: come, I say, bye wine and milke without siluer and without money.
55:2Wherefore doe ye lay out siluer and not for bread? and your labour without being satisfied? hearken diligently vnto me, and eate that which is good, and let your soule delite in fatnes.
55:3Encline your eares, and come vnto me: heare, and your soule shall liue, and I will make an euerlasting couenant with you, euen the sure mercies of Dauid.
55:4Beholde, I gaue him for a witnes to the people, for a prince and a master vnto the people.
55:5Beholde, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and a nation that knew not thee, shall runne vnto thee, because of the Lord thy God, and the holy one of Israel: for hee hath glorified thee.
55:6Seeke ye the Lord while he may be found: call ye vpon him while he is neere.
55:7Let the wicked forsake his wayes, and the vnrighteous his owne imaginations, and returne vnto the Lord, and he wil haue mercy vpon him: and to our God, for hee is very ready to forgiue.
55:8For my thoughtes are not your thoughts, neither are your wayes my wayes, sayth the Lord.
55:9For as ye heauens are higher then the earth, so are my wayes higher then your wayes, and my thoughtes aboue your thoughts.
55:10Surely as the raine commeth downe and the snow from heauen, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth and maketh it to bring forth and bud, that it may giue seede to the sower, and bread vnto him that eateth,
55:11So shall my worde be, that goeth out of my mouth: it shall not returne vnto me voyde, but it shall accomplish that which I will, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
55:12Therefore ye shall go out with ioy, and be led forth with peace: the mountaines and the hilles shall breake foorth before you into ioye, and all the trees of the fielde shall clap their handes.
55:13For thornes there shall grow firre trees: for nettles shall growe the myrrhe tree, and it shalbe to the Lord for a name, and for an euerlasting signe that shall not be taken away.

55:1Come to the waters all ye, that be thursty, and ye that haue no money. Come, bye, that ye maye haue to eate. Come, bye wyne and mylck, wythout any money, or money worth.
55:2Wherfore do ye laye out youre money, for the thynge that fedeth not, & spende youre laboure aboute the thynge that satisfyeth you not. But herken herken rather vnto me, & ye shall eate of the best, and youre soule shall haue her pleasure in plenteousnes.
55:3Enclyne your eares, and come vnto me, take hede (I saye) & your soule shall lyue. For I will make an euerlastynge couenaunt wyth you, euen the sure mercyes of Dauid.
55:4Beholde, I gaue him for a wytnesse among the folke, for a Prynce and captayne vnto the people.
55:5Lo, thou shalt call an vnknowne people: & a people that had not knowledge of the, shall runne vnto the: because of the Lord thy God, and the holy one of Israel, whych glorifyeth the.
55:6Seke the Lorde, whyle he may be founde, and call vpon hym whyle he is nye.
55:7Let the vngodly man forsake his owne wayes, & the vnryghtuous hys owne ymagynacyons, and turne agayne vnto the Lorde: so shall he be mercyfull vnto hym: and to oure God, for he is very ready to forgeue.
55:8For thus sayeth the Lorde: my thoughtes are not youre thoughtes, and youre wayes are not my wayes,
55:9but as farre as the heauens are hyer then the earth, so farre do my wayes exceade yours, and my thoughtes yours.
55:10And lyke as the rayne & snowe commeth downe from heauen, and returneth not thyther agayne, but watereth the earth, maketh it frutefull and grene, that it maye geue corne vnto the sower, and breade to hym that eateth.
55:11So the worde also that commeth out of my mouth shall not turne againe voyde vnto me, but shall accomplyshe my wyll and prospere in the thynge wherto I sende it.
55:12And so shall ye goo forth wt ioye, & be led wt peace. The mountaynes & hylles shall synge wyth you for ioye, & all the trees of the felde shall clappe theyr handes.
55:13For thornes, there shall growe Fyrre trees, & the Myrre tre in the steade of breers. And thys shall be done to the prayse of the Lorde, and for an euerlastynge token, that shall not be taken awaye.
