Jeremiah - Chapter: 27


27:1	In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
27:2	Thus saith the LORD to me; Make thee bonds and yokes, and put them upon thy neck,
27:3	And send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto Zedekiah king of Judah;
27:4	And command them to say unto their masters, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say unto your masters;
27:5	I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.
27:6	And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.
27:7	And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.
27:8	And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
27:9	Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:
27:10	For they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out, and ye should perish.
27:11	But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.
27:12	I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
27:13	Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
27:14	Therefore hearken not unto the words of the prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
27:15	For I have not sent them, saith the LORD, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and the prophets that prophesy unto you.
27:16	Also I spake to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Hearken not to the words of your prophets that prophesy unto you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD'S house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie unto you.
27:17	Hearken not unto them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid waste?
27:18	But if they be prophets, and if the word of the LORD be with them, let them now make intercession to the LORD of hosts, that the vessels which are left in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, go not to Babylon.
27:19	For thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remain in this city,
27:20	Which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took not, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;
27:21	Yea, thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the LORD, and in the house of the king of Judah and of Jerusalem;
27:22	They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the LORD; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.


27:1	בראשׁית ממלכת יהויקם בן יאושׁיהו מלך יהודה היה הדבר הזה אל ירמיה מאת יהוה לאמר׃
27:2	כה אמר יהוה אלי עשׂה לך מוסרות ומטות ונתתם על צוארך׃
27:3	ושׁלחתם אל מלך אדום ואל מלך מואב ואל מלך בני עמון ואל מלך צר ואל מלך צידון ביד מלאכים הבאים ירושׁלם אל צדקיהו מלך יהודה׃
27:4	וצוית אתם אל אדניהם לאמר כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישׂראל כה תאמרו אל אדניכם׃
27:5	אנכי עשׂיתי את הארץ את האדם ואת הבהמה אשׁר על פני הארץ בכחי הגדול ובזרועי הנטויה ונתתיה לאשׁר ישׁר בעיני׃
27:6	ועתה אנכי נתתי את כל הארצות האלה ביד נבוכדנאצר מלך בבל עבדי וגם את חית השׂדה נתתי לו לעבדו׃
27:7	ועבדו אתו כל הגוים ואת בנו ואת בן בנו עד בא עת ארצו גם הוא ועבדו בו גוים רבים ומלכים גדלים׃
27:8	והיה הגוי והממלכה אשׁר לא יעבדו אתו את נבוכדנאצר מלך בבל ואת אשׁר לא יתן את צוארו בעל מלך בבל בחרב וברעב ובדבר אפקד על הגוי ההוא נאם יהוה עד תמי אתם בידו׃
27:9	ואתם אל תשׁמעו אל נביאיכם ואל קסמיכם ואל חלמתיכם ואל ענניכם ואל כשׁפיכם אשׁר הם אמרים אליכם לאמר לא תעבדו את מלך בבל׃
27:10	כי שׁקר הם נבאים לכם למען הרחיק אתכם מעל אדמתכם והדחתי אתכם ואבדתם׃
27:11	והגוי אשׁר יביא את צוארו בעל מלך בבל ועבדו והנחתיו על אדמתו נאם יהוה ועבדה וישׁב׃
27:12	ואל צדקיה מלך יהודה דברתי ככל הדברים האלה לאמר הביאו את צואריכם בעל מלך בבל ועבדו אתו ועמו וחיו׃
27:13	למה תמותו אתה ועמך בחרב ברעב ובדבר כאשׁר דבר יהוה אל הגוי אשׁר לא יעבד את מלך בבל׃
27:14	ואל תשׁמעו אל דברי הנבאים האמרים אליכם לאמר לא תעבדו את מלך בבל כי שׁקר הם נבאים׃
27:15	כי לא שׁלחתים נאם יהוה והם נבאים בשׁמי לשׁקר למען הדיחי אתכם ואבדתם אתם והנבאים הנבאים׃
27:16	ואל הכהנים ואל כל העם הזה דברתי לאמר כה אמר יהוה אל תשׁמעו אל דברי נביאיכם הנבאים לכם לאמר הנה כלי בית יהוה מושׁבים מבבלה עתה מהרה כי שׁקר המה נבאים׃
27:17	אל תשׁמעו אליהם עבדו את מלך בבל וחיו למה תהיה העיר הזאת חרבה׃
27:18	ואם נבאים הם ואם ישׁ דבר יהוה אתם יפגעו נא ביהוה צבאות לבלתי באו הכלים הנותרים בבית יהוה ובית מלך יהודה ובירושׁלם בבלה׃
27:19	כי כה אמר יהוה צבאות אל העמדים ועל הים ועל המכנות ועל יתר הכלים הנותרים בעיר הזאת׃
27:20	אשׁר לא לקחם נבוכדנאצר מלך בבל בגלותו את יכוניה בן יהויקים מלך יהודה מירושׁלם בבלה ואת כל חרי יהודה וירושׁלם׃
27:21	כי כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישׂראל על הכלים הנותרים בית יהוה ובית מלך יהודה וירושׁלם׃
27:22	בבלה יובאו ושׁמה יהיו עד יום פקדי אתם נאם יהוה והעליתים והשׁיבתים אל המקום הזה׃


27:1	In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah, hath this word been unto Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying,
27:2	`Thus said Jehovah unto me, Make to thee bands and yokes,
27:3	And thou hast put them on thy neck, and hast sent them unto the king of Edom, and unto the king of Moab, and unto the king of the sons of Ammon, and unto the king of Tyre, and unto the king of Zidon, by the hand of messengers who are coming in to Jerusalem, unto Zedekiah king of Judah;
27:4	And thou hast commanded them for their lords, saying, Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel,
27:5	Thus do ye say unto your lords, I -- I have made the earth with man, and the cattle that `are' on the face of the earth, by My great power, and by My stretched-out arm, and I have given it to whom it hath been right in Mine eyes.
27:6	`And now, I -- I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, My servant, and also the beast of the field I have given to him to serve him;
27:7	And served him have all the nations, and his son, and his son's son, till the coming in of the time of his land, also it; and done service for him have many nations and great kings.
27:8	And it hath come to pass, the nation and the kingdom that do not serve him -- Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon -- and that which putteth not its neck into the yoke of the king of Babylon, with sword, and with famine, and with pestilence, I lay a charge on that nation -- an affirmation of Jehovah -- till I consume them by his hand.
27:9	`And ye, ye do not hearken unto your prophets, and unto your diviners, and unto your dreamers, and unto your observers of clouds, and unto your sorcerers who are speaking unto you, saying, Ye do not serve the king of Babylon, --
27:10	For falsehood they are prophesying to you, so as to remove you far from off your ground, and I have driven you out, and ye have perished.
27:11	And the nation that causeth its neck to enter into the yoke of the king of Babylon, and hath served him -- I have left it on its ground -- an affirmation of Jehovah -- and it hath tilled it, and dwelt in it.'
27:12	And unto Zedekiah king of Judah I have spoken according to all these words, saying, `Cause your necks to enter into the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
27:13	Why do ye die, thou and thy people, by sword, by famine, and by pestilence, as Jehovah hath spoken concerning the nation that doth not serve the king of Babylon?
27:14	`And ye do not hearken unto the words of the prophets who are speaking unto you, saying, Ye do not serve the king of Babylon, -- for falsehood they are prophesying to you.
27:15	For I have not sent them -- an affirmation of Jehovah -- and they are prophesying in My name falsely, so as to drive you out, and ye have perished, ye, and the prophets who are prophesying to you.'
27:16	And unto the priests, and unto all this people, I have spoken, saying, `Thus said Jehovah, Ye do not hearken unto the words of your prophets, who are prophesying to you, saying, Lo, the vessels of the house of Jehovah are brought back from Babylon now in haste, for falsehood they are prophesying to you.
27:17	Ye do not hearken unto them, serve the king of Babylon, and live. Why is this city a waste?
27:18	`And, if they be prophets, and if a word of Jehovah be with them, let them intercede, I pray you, with Jehovah of Hosts, so that the vessels that are left in the house of Jehovah, and `in' the house of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem, have not gone into Babylon.
27:19	For thus said Jehovah of Hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the rest of the vessels that are left in this city,
27:20	That Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon hath not taken, in his removing Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon with all the freemen of Judah and Jerusalem,
27:21	Surely thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left of the house of Jehovah, and of the house of the king of Judah, and `in' Jerusalem:
27:22	To Babylon they are brought, and there they are till the day of My inspecting them -- an affirmation of Jehovah; then I have brought them up, and have brought them back unto this place.'
