Ezekiel - Chapter: 6

>
6:1And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
6:2Son of man, set thy face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them,
6:3And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.
6:4And your altars shall be desolate, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain men before your idols.
6:5And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.
6:6In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.
6:7And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
6:8Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.
6:9And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.
6:10And they shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.
6:11Thus saith the Lord GOD; Smite with thine hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.
6:12He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remaineth and is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will I accomplish my fury upon them.
6:13Then shall ye know that I am the LORD, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols.
6:14So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

6:1Again the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
6:2Sonne of man, Set thy face towardes the mountaines of Israel, and prophecie against them,
6:3And say, Ye mountaines of Israel, heare the worde of the Lord God: thus sayth the Lord God to the mountaines and to the hilles, to the riuers and to the valleis, Beholde, I, euen I will bring a sworde vpon you, and I will destroy your hie places:
6:4And your altars shalbe desolate, and your images of the sunne shalbe broken: and I will cast downe your slaine men before your idoles.
6:5And I will lay the dead carkeises of the children of Israel before their idoles, and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.
6:6In all your dwelling places the cities shalbe desolate, and the hie places shalbe laide waste, so that your altars shalbe made waste and desolate, and your idoles shalbe broken, and cease, and your images of the sunne shalbe cut in pieces, and your workes shalbe abolished.
6:7And the slaine shall fall in the middes of you, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lord.
6:8Yet will I leaue a remnant, that you may haue some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when you shalbe scattred through the countreyes.
6:9And they that escape of you, shall remember me among the nations, where they shalbe in captiuitie, because I am grieued for their whorish hearts, which haue departed from mee, and for their eyes, which haue gone a whoring after their idoles, and they shalbe displeased in them selues for the euils, which they haue committed in all their abominations.
6:10And they shall knowe that I am the Lord, and that I haue not saide in vaine, that I woulde doe this euill vnto them.
6:11Thus saith the Lord God, Smite with thine hand, and stretch forth with thy foote, and say, Alas, for all the wicked abominations of the house of Israel: for they shall fall by the sworde, by the famine, and by the pestilence.
6:12He that is farre off, shall dye of the pestilence, and he that is neere, shall fall by the sword, and hee that remaineth and is besieged, shall dye by the famine: thus will I accomplish my wrath vpon them.
6:13Then ye shall knowe, that I am ye Lord, when their slaine men shalbe among their idoles round about their altars, vpon euerie hie hill in al the toppes of the mountaines, and vnder euery greene tree, and vnder euerie thicke oke, which is the place where they did offer sweete sauour to all their idoles.
6:14So will I stretch mine hand vpon them, and make the lande waste, and desolate from the wildernes vnto Diblath in all their habitations, and they shall know, that I am the Lord.

6:1And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, sayinge:
6:2Thou sonne of man, turne thy face to the mountaynes of Israel, that thou mayest prophecie vnto them,
6:3and saye: Heare the worde of the Lord God, O ye mountaynes of Israel: Thus hath the Lorde God spoken to the mountaynes, hylles, valleys and dales. Beholde I, I my selfe I saye, wyll brynge a swearde ouer you, and destroye youre hye places:
6:4I wyll cast downe youre aulters, and breake downe youre ymages. Youre slayne men wyll I laye before youre goddes,
6:5and the deed carcases of the chyldren of Israel wyll I cast before theyr Idoles, youre bones wyll I destroye rounde aboute youre aulters,
6:6and dwellyng places. The cyties shalbe desolate, the hyllchapels layed waste: youre aulters destroyed, & broken: youre goddes cast downe, and taken awaye, your temples layde eauen wyth the grounde, your awne worckes cleane roted oute.
6:7Youre slayne men shall lye amonge you, that ye maye learne to knowe, howe that I am the Lorde.
6:8Those that be amonge you & haue escaped the swearde, wyll I leaue amonge the Gentiles, for I wyll scatre you amonge the nacyons.
6:9And they that escape of you, shall thincke vpon me amonge the Heathen, where they shalbe in captiuitye. As for that whorysh and vnfaythfull herte of theyrs, wherewyth they runne awaye fro me, I wyll breake it: yee, & put oute those eyes of theirs, that commytte fornicacyon with theyr Idols. Then shall they be ashamed, and displeased wyth their selues, for the wyckednesses and abhominacyons, which they haue done:
6:10and shall learne to knowe, that I am the Lorde howe that it is not in vayne, that I the Lorde spake, to brynge soch misery vpon them.
6:11The Lord sayde moreouer vnto me: Smyte thyne handes together, and stampe wyth thy fete, and saye: Wo worth all the abhominacions and wyckednesses of the house of Israel, for because of them, they shall perysh wt the swearde, wyth honger and with pestilence.
6:12Who so is farre of, shall dye of the pestilence: he that is nye at hande, shall perysh wyth the swearde: and the other that remayne & that are beseged, shall dye of honger. Thus wyll I satisfye my wrothfull displeasure vpon them.
6:13And so shall ye learne to knowe, that I am the Lorde, when youre slayne men lye amonge youre Idols, and aboute youre aulters: vpon all hye hylles and toppes of mountaynes, amonge all grene trees, amonge all thycke okes: euen in the places, where they dyd sacrifyce to all theyr Idols.
6:14I wyll stretch myne hande oute vpon them, and wyll make the lande waste: So that it shall lye desolate and voyde, from the wyldernesse of Deblothah forth, thorowe all their habitacions: to learne them for to knowe, that I am the Lorde.
