| 25:2 | `Son of man, set thy face unto the sons of Ammon, and prophesy against them; |
| 25:3 | and thou hast said to the sons of Ammon: Hear ye a word of the Lord Jehovah: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because of thy saying, Aha, to My sanctuary, Because it hath been polluted, And unto the ground of Israel, Because it hath been desolate, And unto the house of Judah, Because they have gone into a removal: |
| 25:4 | Therefore, lo, I am giving thee to sons of the east for a possession, And they set their towers in thee, And have placed in thee their tabernacles. They eat thy fruit, and they drink thy milk, |
| 25:5 | And I have given Rabbah for a habitation of camels, And the sons of Ammon for the crouching of a flock, And ye have known that I `am' Jehovah. |
| 25:6 | For thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because of thy clapping the hand, And of thy stamping with the foot, And thou rejoicest with all thy despite in soul Against the ground of Israel, |
| 25:7 | Therefore, lo, I -- I have stretched out My hand against thee, And have given thee for a portion to nations, And I have cut thee off from the peoples, And caused thee to perish from the lands; I destroy thee, and thou hast known that I `am' Jehovah. |
| 25:8 | Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because of the saying of Moab and Seir: Lo, as all the nations `is' the house of Judah; |
| 25:9 | Therefore, lo, I am opening the shoulder of Moab -- From the cities -- from his cities -- from his frontier, The beauty of the land, Beth-Jeshimoth, Baal-Meon, and Kiriathaim, |
| 25:10 | To the sons of the east, with the sons of Ammon, And I have given it for a possession, So that the sons of Ammon are not remembered among nations. |
| 25:11 | And in Moab I do judgments, And they have known that I `am' Jehovah. |
| 25:12 | Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because of the doings of Edom, In taking vengeance on the house of Judah, Yea, they are very guilty, And they have taken vengeance on them. |
| 25:13 | Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: I have stretched out My hand against Edom, And I have cut off from it man and beast, And given it up -- a waste, from Teman even to Dedan, By sword they do fall. |
| 25:14 | And I have given My vengeance on Edom, By the hand of My people Israel, And they have done in Edom, According to My anger, and according to My fury, And they have known My vengeance, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah. |
| 25:15 | Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because of the doings of the Philistines in vengeance, And they take vengeance with despite in soul, To destroy -- the enmity age-during! |
| 25:16 | Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am stretching out My hand against the Philistines, And I have cut off the Cherethim, And destroyed the remnant of the haven of the sea, |
| 25:17 | And done upon them great vengeance with furious reproofs, And they have known that I `am' Jehovah, In My giving out My vengeance on them! |
| 25:1 | The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, |
| 25:2 | Son of man, set thy face against the Ammonites, and prophesy against them; |
| 25:3 | And say unto the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity; |
| 25:4 | Behold, therefore I will deliver thee to the men of the east for a possession, and they shall set their palaces in thee, and make their dwellings in thee: they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk. |
| 25:5 | And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the Ammonites a couchingplace for flocks: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. |
| 25:6 | For thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel; |
| 25:7 | Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD. |
| 25:8 | Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the heathen; |
| 25:9 | Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Bethjeshimoth, Baalmeon, and Kiriathaim, |
| 25:10 | Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession, that the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations. |
| 25:11 | And I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am the LORD. |
| 25:12 | Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them; |
| 25:13 | Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also stretch out mine hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword. |
| 25:14 | And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord GOD. |
| 25:15 | Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred; |
| 25:16 | Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast. |
| 25:17 | And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them. |
| 25:1 | And the word of Jehovah was to me, saying, |
| 25:2 | Son of man, set your face against the sons of Ammon and prophesy against them. |
| 25:3 | And say to the sons of Ammon, Hear the word of the Lord Jehovah. So says the Lord Jehovah: Because you have said, Aha! against My sanctuary when it was profaned, and against the land of Israel when it was ruined, and against the house of Judah when they went into exile; |
| 25:4 | therefore, behold, I will give you to the sons of the east for a possession. And they shall set their camp sites among you, and put among you their dwellings. They shall eat your fruit, and they shall drink your milk. |
| 25:5 | And I will give Rabbah for a pasture for camels, and the sons of Ammon for a resting place for flocks. And you shall know that I am Jehovah. |
| 25:6 | For so says the Lord Jehovah: Because you have clapped the hand, and you stamped the foot, and rejoiced with all your spite in your soul against the land of Israel; |
| 25:7 | so, behold, I will stretch out My hand on you and will give you as a prize to the nations. And I will cut you off from the peoples, and I will make you perish from the lands; I will destroy you, and you shall know that I am Jehovah. |
| 25:8 | So says the Lord Jehovah: Because Moab and Seir say, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the nations. |
| 25:9 | So behold! I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities, from his borders, the glory of the land: Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriath-aim. |
| 25:10 | To the sons of the east, with the sons of Ammon, even I will give it for a possession so that the sons of Ammon may not be remembered among the nations. |
| 25:11 | And I will execute judgments on Moab. And they shall know that I am Jehovah. |
| 25:12 | So says the Lord Jehovah: Because Edom has acted by taking vengeance against the house of Judah, and they are very guilty and are avenged on them, |
| 25:13 | so the Lord Jehovah says this: I will stretch My hand on Edom and will cut off from it man and beast, and I will lay it waste. From Teman even to Dedan they shall fall by the sword. |
| 25:14 | And I will put My vengeance on Edom by the hand of My people Israel. And they shall do in Edom as is My anger and as is My fury. And they shall know My vengeance, declares the Lord Jehovah. |
| 25:15 | So says the Lord Jehovah: Because the Philistines have acted in vengeance and have taken vengeance with spite in their soul, to destroy with perpetual enmity. |
| 25:16 | So the Lord Jehovah says this, Behold, I will stretch My hand on the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites and will destroy the rest of the coast of the sea. |
| 25:17 | And I will execute on them great vengeance with rebukes of fury. And when I put My vengeance on them, they will know that I am Jehovah. |
