Ezekiel - Chapter: 26


26:1	And it came to passe in the eleuenth yeere, in the first day of the moneth, that the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
26:2	Sonne of man, because that Tyrus hath said against Ierusalem, Aha, she is broken that was the gates of the people, she is turned vnto me, I shalbe replenished now she is laid waste:
26:3	Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I am against thee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come vp against thee, as the sea causeth his waues to come vp.
26:4	And they shall destroy the walles of Tyrus, and breake downe her towres: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rocke.
26:5	It shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the middest of the sea: for I haue spoken it, saith the Lord God, and it shall become a spoile to the nations.
26:6	And her daughters which are in the field shall be slaine by the sword, and they shall know that I am the Lord.
26:7	For thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will bring vpon Tyrus, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the North, with horses, and with charets, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people.
26:8	Hee shall slay with the sword thy daughters in the field, and he shal make a fort against thee, and cast a mount against thee, and lift vp the buckler against thee.
26:9	Hee shall set engines of warre against thy walles, and with his axes he shall breake downe thy towres.
26:10	By reason of the abundance of his horses, their dust shall couer thee: thy walles shall shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the wheeles, and of the charets, when he shall enter into thy gates, as men enter into a citie wherein is made a breach.
26:11	With the hoofes of his horses shall he tread downe all thy streets: he shall slay thy people by the sword, and thy strong garisons shall goe downe to the ground.
26:12	And they shall make a spoile of thy riches, and make a pray of thy merchandise, and they shall breake downe thy walles, and destroy thy pleasant houses, and they shall lay thy stones, and thy timber, and thy dust in the midst of the water.
26:13	And I wil cause the noise of thy songs to cease, and the sound of thy harpes shalbe no more heard.
26:14	And I will make thee like the top of a rocke: they shall bee a place to spread nets vpon: thou shalt bee built no more: for I the Lord haue spoken it, saith the Lord God.
26:15	Thus saith the Lord God to Tyrus; Shall not the Iles shake at the sound of thy fall, when the wounded crie, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee?
26:16	Then all the Princes of the sea shall come downe from their thrones, and lay away their robes, and put off their broidred garments: they shall cloth themselues with trembling, they shall sit vpon the ground, and shall tremble at euery moment, and be astonished at thee.
26:17	And they shall take vp a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed that wast inhabited of Sea-faring men, the renowned citie, which wast strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terrour to be on all that haunt it?
26:18	Now shall the Iles tremble in the day of thy fall, yea the Iles that are in the sea, shall bee troubled at thy departure.
26:19	For thus saith the Lord God; When I shal make thee a desolate citie, like the cities that are not inhabited, when I shall bring vp the deepe vpon thee, and great waters shall couer thee;
26:20	When I shall bring thee downe, with them that descend into the pit, with the people of old time, and shall set thee in the low parts of the earth, in places desolate of olde, with them that goe downe to the pit, that thou bee not inhabited, and I shall set glorie in the land of the liuing:
26:21	I will make thee a terrour, and thou shalt bee no more: though thou be sought for, yet shalt thou neuer bee found againe, saith the Lord God.

26:2	Thou sonne of man, because that Tyre hath spoken vpon Hierusalem, Haha, the gates of the people is broken, it is turned vnto me, for now that she is destroyed, I shalbe filled
26:3	Therfore thus sayth the Lord God, Behold O Tyre, I will vpon thee, I wil raise vp many nations against thee, like as whe the sea ariseth with his waues
26:4	They shal breake the walles of Tyre, & cast downe her towres, I will scrape her dust fro her, & make her a drie rocke
26:5	She shalbe for a spreading of nettes in the sea, for I haue spoken it, sayth the Lord God, and she shalbe for a spoyle to the nations
26:6	Her daughters that are in the fielde shalbe slayne with the sworde, that they may knowe how that I am the Lorde
26:7	For thus sayth the Lord God: Behold, I will bring vpon Tyrus, Nabuchodonozor king of Babylon from the north, a king of kinges, with horses, charets, horsemen, with a multitude, and much people
26:8	Thy daughters that are in the field shal he slay with the sword: but against thee he shal make bulwarkes, & cast a mount against thee, and lift vp his speare against thee
26:9	He shall set engins of warre before hym against thy walles, & with his weapons breake downe thy towres
26:10	The dust of his horses shall couer thee they shalbe so many: thy walles shall shake at the noyse of the horsemen, wheeles & chariots, when he shal enter into thy gates, as into the entry of a citie broken downe
26:11	With the hoofes of his horses shall he treade downe al thy streetes, he shall slay the people with the sworde, dna the pillers of thy strength shall fall downe to the grounde
26:12	They shall rob thy riches, and spoyle thy marchaundise, thy walles shall they breake downe, and destroy thy houses of pleasure, thy stones, thy timber, and dust shall they cast into the mids of the water
26:13	Thus will I cause the sounde of thy songues to ceasse, and the noyse of thy harpes shall no more be hearde
26:14	I wil bring thee into a drie rocke, thou shalt be for a spreading of nettes, thou shalt neuer be buylt againe: for euen I the Lord haue spoken it, saith the Lord God
26:15	Thus hath the Lord God spoken concerning Tyre: Shall not the iles tremble at the noyse of thy fall, and at the crie of the wounded, when they shalbe slaine & murthered in the mids of thee
26:16	All princes of the sea shal come downe from their thrones, they shall lay away their robes, & put of their broidred garmentes, yea with trembling shall they be clothed, they shal sit vpon the ground, they shalbe astonished at euery moment, and be amased at thee
26:17	They shall mourne for thee, and say vnto thee: How art thou destroyed that wast inhabited of the seas, the renowmed citie, whiche was strong in the sea, she and her inhabitauntes, whiche caused their feare to be on all that haunted therin
26:18	Now shall the inhabitours of the iles be astonished in the day of thy fall: yea the iles that are in the sea shalbe troubled at thy departure
26:19	For thus sayth the Lord God: when I make thee a desolate citie, as other cities be that no man dwell in, and when I bring vp the deepe vpon thee, that great waters may couer thee
26:20	Then wil I cast thee downe vnto them that descend into the pit, vnto a people of olde time, and set thee in a lande that is beneath, like the olde ruynes, with them which go downe to the graue, so that no man shall dwell more in thee: but I wil reserue honour for the land of the liuing
26:21	I will make thee terrors, and thou shalt be no more: though thou be sought for, yet shalt thou not be founde for euermore, sayth the Lorde God

26:2	Sonne of man, because that Tyrus hath said against Ierusalem, Aha, the gate of the people is broken: it is turned vnto me: for seeing she is desolate, I shall be replenished,
26:3	Therefore thus sayth the Lord God, Beholde, I come against thee, O Tyrus, and I will bring vp many nations against thee, as the sea mounteth vp with his waues.
26:4	And they shall destroy the walles of Tyrus and breake downe her towres: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rocke.
26:5	Thou shalt be for the spreading of nettes in the middes of the sea: for I haue spoken it, sayth the Lord God, and it shalbe a spoile to ye nations.
26:6	And her daughters which are in the fielde, shall be slaine by the sworde, and they shall know that I am the Lord.

26:14	I wil lay thee like the top of a rocke: thou shalt be for a spreading of nets: thou shalt be built no more: for I the Lord haue spoken it, sayth the Lord God.
26:15	Thus sayth the Lord God to Tyrus, Shall not the yles tremble at the sounde of thy fall? and at the crie of the wounded, when they shall be slaine and murthered in the middes of thee?
26:16	Then all the princes of the sea shall come downe from their thrones: they shall lay away their robes, and put off their broydered garments, and shall clothe themselues with astonishment: they shall sitte vpon the ground, and be astonished at euery moment, and be amased at thee.
26:17	And they shall take vp a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, Howe art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of the sea men, the renoumed citie which was strong in the sea, both she and her inhabitants, which cause their feare to be on all that haunt therein!
26:18	Nowe shall the yles be astonished in the day of thy fall: yea, the yles that are in the sea, shall be troubled at thy departure.
26:19	For thus saith the Lord God, When I shall make thee a desolate citie, like ye cities that are not inhabited, and when I shall bring the deepe vpon thee, and great waters shall couer thee,
26:20	When I shall cast thee downe with them that descende into the pitte, with the people of olde time, and shall set thee in the lowe partes of the earth, like the olde ruines, with them, I say, which goe downe to the pitte, so that thou shalt not be inhabited, and I shall shewe my glory in the land of the liuing,
26:21	I will bring thee to nothing, and thou shalt be no more: though thou be sought for, yet shalt thou neuer be found againe, sayth the Lord God.
