>
27:1The word of the Lord came againe vnto mee, saying,
27:2Now thou sonne of man, take vp a lamentation for Tyrus;
27:3And say vnto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entrie of the sea, which art a merchant of the people for many Iles, Thus saith the Lord God; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfit beautie.
27:4Thy borders are in the midst of the seas, thy builders haue perfected thy beautie.
27:5They haue made all thy shippe bords of firre trees of Senir: they haue taken Cedars from Lebanon, to make mastes for thee.
27:6Of the okes of Bashan haue they made thine oares: the companie of the Ashurites haue made thy benches of Yuorie, brought out of the Iles of Chittim.
27:7Fine linnen with broidred worke from Egypt, was that which thou spreddest forth to be thy saile, blew and purple from the Iles of Elishah was that which couered thee.
27:8The inhabitants of Zidon and Aruad were thy mariners: thy wise men, O Tyrus, that were in thee, were thy pilots.
27:9The ancients of Gebal, and the wise men thereof were in thee thy calkers, all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in thee, to occupie thy merchandise.
27:10They of Persia, and of Lud, and of Phut were in thine army, thy men of warre: they hanged the shield and helmet in thee: they set forth thy comelines.
27:11The men of Aruad with thine armie were vpon thy wals round about, and the Gammadims were in thy towres: they hanged their shields vpon thy wals round about: they haue made thy beautie perfect.
27:12Tarshish was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all kinde of riches: with siluer, yron, tinne, and lead they traded in thy faires.
27:13Iauan, Tubal and Meshech, they were thy merchants: they traded the persons of men, and vessels of brasse in thy market.
27:14They of the house of Togarmah traded in thy faires with horses, and horsemen, and mules.
27:15The men of Dedan were thy merchants, many Iles were the merchandise of thine hand: they brought thee for a present, hornes of Iuorie, and Ebenie.
27:16Syria was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of the wares of thy making: they occupied in thy faires with Emeraulds, purple, and broidered worke, and fine linen, and Corall, and Agate.
27:17Iudah and the land of Israel they were thy merchants: they traded in thy market wheate of Minnith, and Pannag, and honie, and oyle, & balme.
27:18Damascus was thy merchant in the multitude of the wares of thy making, for the multitude of all riches: in the wine of Helbon, and white wooll.
27:19Dan also and Iauan going to and fro, occupyed in thy faires: bright yron, Cassia and Calamus were in thy market.
27:20Dedan was thy merchant in precious clothes for charets.
27:21Arabia and all the princes of Kedar, they occupied with thee in lambes and rammes and goats: in these were they thy merchants.
27:22The merchants of Shebah and Raamah, they were thy merchants: they occupied in thy faires with chiefe of all spices, and with all precious stones and golde.
27:23Haran, and Canneh, and Eden, the merchants of Shebah, Asshur and Chilmad were thy merchants.
27:24These were thy merchants in all sorts of things, in blewe clothes and broidered worke, and in chests of rich apparell, bound with cordes and made of Cedar among thy merchandise.
27:25The ships of Tarshish did sing of thee in thy market, and thou wast replenished, and made very glorious in the middest of the seas.
27:26Thy rowers haue brought thee into great waters: the East winde hath broken thee in the middest of the Seas.
27:27Thy riches and thy faires, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the occupiers of thy merchandise, and all thy men of warre that are in thee, and in all thy company, which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the middest of the seas, in the day of thy ruine.
27:28The suburbs shall shake at the sound of the crie of thy pilots.
27:29And all that handle the oare; the mariners, and all the pilots of the Sea, shal come downe from their ships, they shall stand vpon the land;
27:30And shall cause their voice to be heard against thee, and shall crie bitterly, and shall cast vp dust vpon their heads, they shall wallow themselues in the ashes.
27:31And they shall make themselues vtterly balde for thee, and girde them with sackecloth, and they shall weepe for thee with bitternesse of heart and bitter wailing.
27:32And in their wailing, they shall take vp a lamentation for thee, and lament ouer thee, saying; What citie is like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the middest of the sea?
27:33When thy wares went foorth out of the seas, thou filledst many people, thou didst enrich the kings of the earth, with the multitude of thy riches, and of thy merchandise.
27:34In the time when thou shalt be broken by the seas in the depths of the waters, thy merchandise and all thy companie in the middest of thee shal fall.
27:35All the inhabitants of the Iles shall bee astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore afraid, they shall be troubled in their countenance.
27:36The merchants among the people shall hisse at thee, thou shalt bee a terrour, and neuer shalt be any more.

27:15The men of Dedan were thy marchantes: and the marchandise of many yles were in thine handes: they brought thee for a present hornes, teeth, and peacockes.
27:16They of Aram were thy marchants for the multitude of thy wares: they occupied in thy faires with emerauds, purple, and broidred worke, and fine linen, and corall, and pearle.
27:17They of Iudah and of the land of Israel were thy marchants: they brought for thy marchandise wheat of Minnith, and Pannag, and honie and oyle, and balme.
27:18They of Damascus were thy marchants in ye multitude of thy wares, for the multitude of all riches, as in the wine of Helbon and white wooll.
27:19They of Dan also and of Iauan, going to and from, occupied in thy faires: yron woorke, cassia and calamus were among thy marchandise.
27:20They of Dedan were thy marchants in precious clothes for the charets.
27:21They of Arabia, and all the princes of Kedar occupied with thee, in lambes, and rammes and goates: in these were they thy marchants.
27:22The marchats of Sheba, and Raamah were thy marchantes: they occupied in thy faires with the chiefe of all spices, and with al precious stones and golde.
27:23They of Haram and Canneh and Eden, the marchants of Sheba, Asshur and Chilmad were thy marchants.
27:24These were thy marchants in all sortes of things, in raiment of blewe silke, and of broydred woorke, and in coffers for the rich apparell, which were bound with cordes: chaines also were among thy marchandise.
27:25The shippes of Tarshish were thy chiefe in thy marchandise, and thou wast replenished and made very glorious in the middes of the sea.
27:26Thy robbers haue brought thee into great waters: the East winde hath broken thee in the middes of the sea.
27:27Thy riches and thy faires, thy marchandise, thy mariners and pilotes, thy calkers, and the occupiers of thy marchandise and al thy men of warre that are in thee, and all thy multitude which is in the middes of thee, shall fall in the middes of the sea in the day of thy ruine.
27:28The suburbes shall shake at the sound of the crie of thy pilotes.
27:29And all that handle the ore, the mariners and al the pilots of the sea shall come downe from their shippes, and shall stand vpon the land,
27:30And shall cause their voyce to be heard against thee, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast dust vpon their heads, and wallow theselues in the ashes.
27:31They shall plucke off their heare for thee and gird them with a sackecloth, and they shall weepe for thee with sorow of heart and bitter mourning.
27:32And in their mourning, they shall take vp a lametation for thee, saying, What citie is like Tyrus, so destroied in the middes of the sea!
27:33When thy wares went foorth of the seas, thou filledst many people, and thou diddest enrich the Kings of the earth with the multitude of thy riches and of thy marchandise.
27:34When thou shalt be broken by ye seas in the depths of the waters, thy marchandise and all thy multitude, which was in the mids of thee, shall fal.
27:35All the inhabitantes of the yles shall be astonished at thee, and all their Kings shall be sore afraide and troubled in their countenance.
27:36The marchants among the people shall hisse at thee: thou shalt be a terrour, and neuer shalt be any more.

 

27:1The worde of the Lord came vnto me sayenge:
27:2O thou sonne of man, make a lamentable complaynte vpon Tyre,
27:3and saye vpon Tyre, thou which art a porte of the see, that occupieth with moche people, & many Iles: thus speaketh the Lord God: O Tyre, thou hast sayd: what, I am a noble cyti
27:4thy borders are in the middest of the see, and thy buylders haue made the maruelous goodly,
27:5Al thy tables haue they made of cypres trees of the mount Sanyr, From Libanus haue they taken Cedre trees, to make the mastes:
27:6and the Okes of Basan to make the rowers. Thy boordes haue they made of yuery, & of costely wood out of the Ile of Cethim.
27:7Thy sayle was of dyuers colours, small nedle worke out of the lande of Egypt, to hange vpon thy mast: & thy hanginges of yelow sylcke purple, out of the Iles of Elisah.
27:8They of Sydon & Arnad were thy maryners, and the wysest in Tyre were thy shypmasters.
27:9The eldest and wysest at Gebal were they, that mended & stopped thy shyppes. All shyppes of the see wt theyr shypmen occupyed theyr marchaundies in the.
27:10The Perses, Lydians and phutens were in thyne host, & helped the to fyght: these hanged vp theyr shyldes & helmettes with the, these sett forth they bewty.
27:11They of Arnad were with thyne hoost rounde aboute thy walles, & the Pigmenians were thy watchmen vpon thy towres, these hanged vp theyr quivers rounde aboute thy walles, and made the maruelous goodly.
27:12Tharsis occupyed with the in all maner of wares, in syluer, yron, tynne and lead, and made thy marckett greate.
27:13Iauan, Tubal, and Mesech were thy marchauntes, which brought the men, and ornamentes of metall for thy occupienge.
27:14They of the house of Thogarma brought vnto the at the tyme of thy marte, horse, horsmen and mules.
27:15They of Dedan were thy marchauntes: and many other Iles that occupyed with the, brought the weathers, Elephant bones & Peacockes for a present.
27:16The Sirians occupied with the, because of thy diuerse worckes, and increased thy marchaundies, with Smaragdes, with scarlet, with nedle worcke, with whyte lynen cloth, with sylcke, and with crystall.
27:17Iuda and the lande of Israel occupied wt the & brought vnto thy markettes, wheat, of Minnith and pannag, balme, hony, oyle, & tryacle.
27:18Damascus also vsed marchaundyes wt the, in the best wyne of Helbon & wt woll: because thy occupieng was so greate, and thy wares so many,
27:19Dan, Iauan & Meusall haue brought vnto thy marckettes, yron redy made, with Cassia & Calamus, accordinge to thine occupyenge.
27:20Dedan occupied with the in fayre tapestrye worcke and cusshyns.
27:21Arabia & al the princes of Cedar haue occupied wt the, in shepe, wethers and goates.
27:22The marchauntes of Seba and Rema haue occupied also with the, in all costly spyces, in all precyous stones and golde, which they brought vnto thy marckettes.
27:23Haram, Chene and Eden, the marchauntes of Saba, Assiria, and Chelmad, were all doers wt the,
27:24and occupyed with the. In costly rayment, of yelow sylcke & nedle worcke (very precyous, & therfore packte and bounde together with roapes.) Yee, and in Cedre woodde, at the tyme of thy marckettes.
27:25The shyppes of Tharsis were the chefe of thy occupyenge. Thus thou art full, and in greate worship, euen in the myddest of the see.
27:26Thy robbers shall brynge the into grett waters, the easte winde shall ouerbeare the into the myddest of the see:
27:27so that thy wares, thy marchaundies, thy ryches, thy maryners, thy shypmasters, thy buylders of thy broken places, thy occupiers (that brought the thynges necessary) the men of warre that are in the: yee, and all thy comens shall perysh in the myddest of the see: in the daye of thy fall.
27:28The suburbes shall shake at the loude crye of thy shypmen.
27:29All whyry men, & all maryners vpon the see, shall leape out of theyr boates, & set them selues vpon the lande.
27:30They shall lyft vp theyr voyce because of the and make a lamentable cry. They shall cast dust vpon theyr heades, and lye downe in the asshes.
27:31They shall shaue them selues, and put sacke cloth vpon them for thy sake. They shall mourne for the with hertfull sorow,
27:32and heuy lamentacion, yee, they also shall wepe for the. Alas, what cytie hath so bene destroyed in the see, as Tyre is?
27:33When thy wares and marchaundies came from the sees, thou gauest al people ynough. The kinges of the earth hast thou made ryche, thorow the multitude of thy watres & occupieng.
27:34But thou art now cast downe in to the depe of the see, all thy resorte of people is perished with the.
27:35All they that dwell in the Iles are abashed at the, & all theyr kynges are afrayed, yee, theyr faces haue chaunged couloure.
27:36The marchauntes of the nacyons wondre at the. In that thou art so cleane brought to naught, and commest nomore vp.
