Ezekiel - Chapter: 28


28:1	The word of the Lord came againe vnto me, saying,
28:2	Sonne of man, say vnto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord God; Because thine heart is lifted vp, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seate of God in the middest of the seas; yet thou art a man and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God.
28:3	Behold, thou art wiser then Daniel: there is no secret that they can hide from thee.
28:4	With thy wisedome and with thine vnderstanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and siluer into thy treasures.
28:5	By thy great wisedome, and by thy traffique hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted vp because of thy riches.
28:6	Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;
28:7	Behold therefore, I will bring strangers vpon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beautie of thy wisedome, & they shall defile thy brightnesse.
28:8	They shall bring thee downe to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them, that are slaine in the middest of the seas.
28:9	Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and no God in the hand of him that slayeth thee.
28:10	Thou shalt die the deaths of the vncircumcised, by the hand of strangers: for I haue spoken it, saith the Lord God.
28:11	Moreouer the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying;
28:12	Sonne of man, take vp a lamentation vpon the king of Tyrus, and say vnto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest vp the summe, full of wisedome and perfect in beautie.
28:13	Thou hast beene in Eden the garden of God; euery precious stone was thy couering, the Sardius, Topaze, and the Diamond, the Beril, the Onyx, and the Iasper, the Saphir, the Emeraude, and the Carbuncle and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee, in the day that thou wast created.
28:14	Thou art the annointed Cherub that couereth: and I haue set thee so; thou wast vpon the holy mountaine of God; thou hast walked vp and downe in the middest of the stones of fire.
28:15	Thou wast perfect in thy wayes from the day that thou wast created, till iniquitie was found in thee.
28:16	By the multitude of thy merchandise they haue filled the middest of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as prophane out of the mountaine of God: and I wil destroy thee, O couering Cherub, from the middest of the stones of fire.
28:17	Thine heart was lifted vp because of thy beautie, thou hast corrupted thy wisedome by reason of thy brightnesse: I will cast thee to the ground: I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
28:18	Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquitie of thy traffique: therefore will I bring forth a fire from the middest of thee, it shall deuoure thee: and I will bring thee to ashes vpon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
28:19	All they that know thee among the people, shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terrour, and neuer shalt thou be any more.
28:20	Againe the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying;
28:21	Sonne of man, set thy face against Zidon, and prophecie against it,
28:22	And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Zidon, and I will be glorified in the middest of thee: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall haue executed iudgements in her, and shall be sanctified in her.
28:23	For I will send into her, pestilence, and blood into her streetes, and the wounded shall be iudged in the middest of her by the sword vpon her on euery side, and they shall know that I am the Lord.
28:24	And there shall be no more a pricking briar vnto the house of Israel, nor any grieuing thorne of all that are round about them that despised them, and they shal know that I am the Lord God.
28:25	Thus saith the Lord God; When I shall haue gathered the house of Israel fro the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land, that I haue giuen to my seruant Iacob.
28:26	And they shal dwell safely therein, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards: yea, they shall dwell with confidence when I haue executed iudgments vpon all those that despise them round about them, and they shal know that I am the Lord their God.


28:1	The worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying
28:2	Thou sonne of man, tel the prince of Tyre, thus sayth the Lorde God: Because thou hast a proude heart, and hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seate of God, in the mids of the sea: wher as thou art but a man, and not God, though thou set thyne heart as the heart of God
28:3	Beholde, thou thinkest thy selfe wyser then Daniel, that there is no secretes hyd from thee
28:4	With thy wisdome and thine vnderstanding thou hast gotten thee great welthines, & gathered treasure of siluer & gold
28:5	With thy great wysedome and occupying hast thou encreased thy power, and because of thy great riches thy heart is proude
28:6	Therfore thus sayth the Lorde God, Forsomuch as thou hast set thyne heart as the heart of God
28:7	Behold, I will bring straungers vpon thee, euen the terrible nations, these shal drawe out their swordes vpon the beautie of thy wysdome, and shall defile thy glorie
28:8	They shall cast thee downe to the pit, so that thou shalt dye the death of them that be slayne in the mids of the sea
28:9	Wilt thou say then before them that slay thee, I am a God? where as thou art but a man, and not God, in the handes of them that slay thee
28:10	Die shalt thou the death of the vncircumcized in the handes of the straungers: for I haue spoken it, sayth the Lorde God
28:11	Moreouer, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying
28:12	Thou sonne of man, take vp a lamentation vpon the king of Tyre, & tel him, thus sayth the Lord God: Thou sealest vp the summe, full of wysdome, & perfite beautie
28:13	Thou hast ben in the pleasaunt garden of God, thou art deckt with all maner of precious stones, with ruby, topas, diamond, thurkis, onyx, iasper, saphir, emeralde, carbuncle, and golde: the workemanship of thy timbrels and of thy pipes that be in thee, was prepared in the day that thou wast created
28:14	Thou art an annoynted Cherub, that couereth, and I haue set thee in this dignitie, thou wast vpon the holy mount of God, thou hast walked in the mids of the stones of fire
28:15	From the time of thy creation thou haste ben perfite in the wayes, till wickednesse was founde in thee
28:16	By the multitude of thy marchaundise they haue filled the mids of thee with crueltie, & thou haste sinned: I will cast thee as prophane out of the mount of God, & I will destroy thee O couering Cherub, from the mids of the stones of fire
28:17	Thy heart was proude in thy beautie, and thorowe thy brightnesse thou hast destroyed thy wisdome: I will cast thee downe to the grounde, I will lay thee before kinges, that they may beholde thee
28:18	Thou hast defiled thy sanctification with the great wickednesse of thyne vnrighteous occupying: I will bring a fire from the middest of thee to consume thee, and will make thee to asshes vpon the earth, in the sight of all them that loke vpon thee
28:19	Al they that haue ben acquainted with thee among the heathen shalbe abashed at thee: thou hast ben a terrour, and neuer shalt thou be any more
28:20	And the word of the Lorde came vnto me, saying
28:21	Thou sonne of man, set thy face against Sidon, and prophecie vpon it
28:22	And speake, thus sayth the Lord God: Beholde O Sidon, I will vpon thee, aud I wilbe glorified in thee: that it may be knowen howe that I am the Lord when I shal haue executed iudgementes in her, & shalbe sanctified in her
28:23	For I will sende pestilence and bloodsheding into her streetes, and the slayne shall fall in the mids of her, by the sword comming vpon her on euery side: & they shall knowe that I am the Lorde
28:24	They shalbe no more a pricking thorne vnto the house of Israel, nor a greeuous thorne of al that are round about them and despised them: and they shal knowe that I am the Lorde God
28:25	Thus sayth the Lorde God: When I gather the houshold of Israel together againe from the nations among whom they be scattered, then shall I be sanctified in them in the sight of the gentiles, and they shall dwell in the lande that I gaue to my seruaunt Iacob
28:26	They shal dwell with confidence therin, buyld houses and plant vineyardes: yea with confidence shall they dwell therin, when I haue executed iudgementes vpon all those that despise them rounde about: and then shal they know that I am the Lorde their God

28:3	Behold, thou art wiser then Daniel: there is no secrete, that they can hide from thee.
28:4	With thy wisedome and thine vnderstanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten golde and siluer into thy treasures.
28:5	By thy great wisedome and by thine occupying hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted vp because of thy riches.
28:6	Therefore thus sayeth the Lord God, Because thou didest thinke in thine heart, that thou wast equall with God,
28:7	Behold, therefore I wil bring strangers vpon thee, euen the terrible nations: and they shall drawe their swordes against the beautie of thy wisedome, and they shall defile thy brightnes.

28:12	Sonne of man, take vp a lamentation vpon the King of Tyrus, and say vnto him, Thus sayeth the Lord God, Thou sealest vp the summe, and art full of wisedome and perfite in beautie.
28:13	Thou hast ben in Eden the garden of God: euery precious stone was in thy garment, the rubie, the topaze and the diamonde, the chrysolite, the onix, and the iasper, the saphir, emeraude, and the carbuncle and golde: the woorkemanship of thy timbrels, and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
28:14	Thou art the anointed Cherub, that couereth, and I haue set thee in honour: thou wast vpon the holy mountaine of God: thou hast walked in the middes of the stones of fire.
28:15	Thou wast perfite in thy wayes from the day that thou wast created, till iniquitie was found in thee.

28:20	Againe, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
28:21	Sonne of man, set thy face against Zidon, and prophesie against it,
28:22	And say, Thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I come against thee, O Zidon, and I will be glorified in the mids of thee: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall haue executed iudgements in her, and shalbe sanctified in her.

28:26	And they shall dwell safely therein, and shall builde houses, and plant vineyards: yea, they shall dwell safely, when I haue executed iudgements vpon al round about them that despise them, and they shall knowe that I am the Lord their God.
