Ezekiel - Chapter: 34


34:1	And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
34:2	Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?
34:3	Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock.
34:4	The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them.
34:5	And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd: and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered.
34:6	My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them.
34:7	Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;
34:8	As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock;
34:9	Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD;
34:10	Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.
34:11	For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.
34:12	As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
34:13	And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.
34:14	I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.
34:15	I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.
34:16	I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
34:17	And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats.
34:18	Seemeth it a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet?
34:19	And as for my flock, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet; and they drink that which ye have fouled with your feet.
34:20	Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD unto them; Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle and between the lean cattle.
34:21	Because ye have thrust with side and with shoulder, and pushed all the diseased with your horns, till ye have scattered them abroad;
34:22	Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle.
34:23	And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.
34:24	And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it.
34:25	And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.
34:26	And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.
34:27	And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.
34:28	And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.
34:29	And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more.
34:30	Thus shall they know that I the LORD their God am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are my people, saith the Lord GOD.
34:31	And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord GOD.


34:1	ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר׃
34:2	בן אדם הנבא על רועי ישׂראל הנבא ואמרת אליהם לרעים כה אמר אדני יהוה הוי רעי ישׂראל אשׁר היו רעים אותם הלוא הצאן ירעו הרעים׃
34:3	את החלב תאכלו ואת הצמר תלבשׁו הבריאה תזבחו הצאן לא תרעו׃
34:4	את הנחלות לא חזקתם ואת החולה לא רפאתם ולנשׁברת לא חבשׁתם ואת הנדחת לא השׁבתם ואת האבדת לא בקשׁתם ובחזקה רדיתם אתם ובפרך׃
34:5	ותפוצינה מבלי רעה ותהיינה לאכלה לכל חית השׂדה ותפוצינה׃
34:6	ישׁגו צאני בכל ההרים ועל כל גבעה רמה ועל כל פני הארץ נפצו צאני ואין דורשׁ ואין מבקשׁ׃
34:7	לכן רעים שׁמעו את דבר יהוה׃
34:8	חי אני נאם אדני יהוה אם לא יען היות צאני לבז ותהיינה צאני לאכלה לכל חית השׂדה מאין רעה ולא דרשׁו רעי את צאני וירעו הרעים אותם ואת צאני לא רעו׃
34:9	לכן הרעים שׁמעו דבר יהוה׃
34:10	כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני אל הרעים ודרשׁתי את צאני מידם והשׁבתים מרעות צאן ולא ירעו עוד הרעים אותם והצלתי צאני מפיהם ולא תהיין להם לאכלה׃
34:11	כי כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני אני ודרשׁתי את צאני ובקרתים׃
34:12	כבקרת רעה עדרו ביום היותו בתוך צאנו נפרשׁות כן אבקר את צאני והצלתי אתהם מכל המקומת אשׁר נפצו שׁם ביום ענן וערפל׃
34:13	והוצאתים מן העמים וקבצתים מן הארצות והביאתים אל אדמתם ורעיתים אל הרי ישׂראל באפיקים ובכל מושׁבי הארץ׃
34:14	במרעה טוב ארעה אתם ובהרי מרום ישׂראל יהיה נוהם שׁם תרבצנה בנוה טוב ומרעה שׁמן תרעינה אל הרי ישׂראל׃
34:15	אני ארעה צאני ואני ארביצם נאם אדני יהוה׃
34:16	את האבדת אבקשׁ ואת הנדחת אשׁיב ולנשׁברת אחבשׁ ואת החולה אחזק ואת השׁמנה ואת החזקה אשׁמיד ארענה במשׁפט׃
34:17	ואתנה צאני כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני שׁפט בין שׂה לשׂה לאילים ולעתודים׃
34:18	המעט מכם המרעה הטוב תרעו ויתר מרעיכם תרמסו ברגליכם ומשׁקע מים תשׁתו ואת הנותרים ברגליכם תרפשׂון׃
34:19	וצאני מרמס רגליכם תרעינה ומרפשׂ רגליכם תשׁתינה׃
34:20	לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה אליהם הנני אני ושׁפטתי בין שׂה בריה ובין שׂה רזה׃
34:21	יען בצד ובכתף תהדפו ובקרניכם תנגחו כל הנחלות עד אשׁר הפיצותם אותנה אל החוצה׃
34:22	והושׁעתי לצאני ולא תהיינה עוד לבז ושׁפטתי בין שׂה לשׂה׃
34:23	והקמתי עליהם רעה אחד ורעה אתהן את עבדי דויד הוא ירעה אתם והוא יהיה להן לרעה׃
34:24	ואני יהוה אהיה להם לאלהים ועבדי דוד נשׂיא בתוכם אני יהוה דברתי׃
34:25	וכרתי להם ברית שׁלום והשׁבתי חיה רעה מן הארץ וישׁבו במדבר לבטח וישׁנו ביערים׃
34:26	ונתתי אותם וסביבות גבעתי ברכה והורדתי הגשׁם בעתו גשׁמי ברכה יהיו׃
34:27	ונתן עץ השׂדה את פריו והארץ תתן יבולה והיו על אדמתם לבטח וידעו כי אני יהוה בשׁברי את מטות עלם והצלתים מיד העבדים׃
34:28	ולא יהיו עוד בז לגוים וחית הארץ לא תאכלם וישׁבו לבטח ואין מחריד׃
34:29	והקמתי להם מטע לשׁם ולא יהיו עוד אספי רעב בארץ ולא ישׂאו עוד כלמת הגוים׃
34:30	וידעו כי אני יהוה אלהיהם אתם והמה עמי בית ישׂראל נאם אדני יהוה׃
34:31	ואתן צאני צאן מרעיתי אדם אתם אני אלהיכם נאם אדני יהוה׃


34:1	And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,
34:2	`Son of man, prophesy concerning shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and thou hast said unto them: To the shepherds, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Wo `to' the shepherds of Israel, Who have been feeding themselves! The flock do not the shepherds feed?
34:3	The fat ye do eat, and the wool ye put on, The fed one ye slaughter, the flock ye feed not.
34:4	The weak ye have not strengthened, And the sick one ye have not healed, And the broken ye have not bound up, And the driven away have not brought back, And the lost ye have not sought, And with might ye have ruled them and with rigour.
34:5	And they are scattered from want of a shepherd, And are for food to every beast of the field, Yea, they are scattered.
34:6	Go astray do My flock on all the mountains, And on every high hill, And on all the face of the land have My flock been scattered, And there is none inquiring, and none seeking.
34:7	Therefore, shepherds, hear a word of Jehovah:
34:8	I live -- an affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, If not, because of My flock being for a prey, Yea, My flock is for food to every beast of the field, Because there is no shepherd, And My shepherds have not sought My flock, And the shepherds do feed themselves, And My flock they have not fed.
34:9	Therefore, O shepherds, hear a word of Jehovah:
34:10	Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I `am' against the shepherds, And have required My flock from their hand, And caused them to cease from feeding the flock, And no more do the shepherds feed themselves, And I have delivered My flock from their mouth, And they are not to them for food.
34:11	For thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I -- even I, have required My flock, And I have sought it out.
34:12	As a shepherd's searching of his drove, In the day of his being in the midst of his scattered flock, so I do seek My flock, And have delivered them out of all places, Whither they have been scattered, In a day of cloud and thick darkness.
34:13	And brought them out from the peoples, And have gathered them from the lands, And brought them unto their own ground, And have fed them on mountains of Israel, By streams, and by all dwellings of the land.
34:14	With good pasture I do feed them, And on mountains of the high place of Israel is their habitation, There do they lie down in a good habitation, And fat pastures they enjoy on mountains of Israel.
34:15	I feed My flock, and cause them to lie down, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
34:16	The lost I seek, and the driven away bring back, And the broken I bind up, and the sick I strengthen, And the fat and the strong I destroy, I feed it with judgment.
34:17	And you, My flock, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am judging between sheep and sheep, Between rams and he-goats.
34:18	Is it a little thing for you -- the good pasture ye enjoy, And the remnant of your pasture ye tread down with your feet, And a depth of waters ye do drink, And the remainder with your feet ye trample,
34:19	And My flock the trodden thing of your feet consumeth, And the trampled thing of your feet drinketh?
34:20	Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah to them: Lo, I -- even I, have judged between fat sheep and lean sheep.
34:21	Because with side and with shoulder ye thrust away, And with your horns push all the diseased, Till ye have scattered them to the out-place,
34:22	And I have given safety to My flock, And they are not any more for prey, And I have judged between sheep and sheep.
34:23	And have raised up over them one shepherd, And he hath fed them -- my servant David, He doth feed them, and he is their shepherd,
34:24	And I, Jehovah, I am their God, And My servant David prince in their midst, I, Jehovah, have spoken.
34:25	And I have made for them a covenant of peace, And caused evil beasts to cease out of the land, And they have dwelt in a wilderness confidently, And they have slept in forests.
34:26	And I have given them, and the suburbs of my hill, a blessing, And caused the shower to come down in its season, Showers of blessing they are.
34:27	And given hath the tree of the field its fruit, And the land doth give her increase, And they have been on their land confident, And they have known that I `am' Jehovah, In My breaking the bands of their yoke, And I have delivered them from the hand of those laying service on them.
34:28	And they are no more a prey to nations, And the beast of the earth devoureth them not, And they have dwelt confidently, And there is none troubling.
34:29	And I have raised for them a plant for renown, And they are no more consumed by hunger in the land, And they bear no more the shame of the nations.
34:30	And they have known that I, Jehovah, their God, `am' with them, And they -- the house of Israel -- My people, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
34:31	And ye, My flock, the flock of My pasture, Men ye `are' -- I `am' your God, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah!'
