| 35:1 | And the word of the Lord was maad to me, |
| 35:2 | and he seide, Thou, sone of man, sette thi face ayens the hil of Seir; and thou schalt profesie to it, and thou schalt seie to it, |
| 35:3 | The Lord God seith these thingis, Thou hil of Seir, lo! Y to thee; Y schal stretche forth myn hond on thee, and Y schal yyue thee desolat and forsakun. |
| 35:4 | Y schal distrie thi citees, and thou schalt be forsakun; and thou schalt wite, that Y am the Lord. |
| 35:5 | For thou were an enemye euerlastynge, and closidist togidere the sonis of Israel in to the hondis of swerd, in the tyme of her turment, in the tyme of the laste wickidnesse; |
| 35:6 | therfor Y lyue, seith the Lord God, for Y schal yyue thee to blood, and blood schal pursue thee; and sithen thou hatidist blood, blood schal pursue thee. |
| 35:7 | And Y schal yyue the hil of Seir desolat and forsakun, and Y schal take awei fro it a goere and a comere ayen; |
| 35:8 | and Y schal fille the hillis therof with the careyns of her slayn men. Men slayn by swerd schulen falle doun in thi litle hillis, and in thi valeys, and in thi strondis. |
| 35:9 | Y schal yyue thee in to euerlastynge wildirnessis, and thi citees schulen not be enhabitid; and ye schulen wite, that Y am the Lord God. |
| 35:10 | For thou seidist, Twei folkis and twei londis schulen be myne, and Y schal welde tho bi eritage, whanne the Lord was there; |
| 35:11 | therfor Y lyue, seith the Lord God, for Y schal do bi thi wraththe, and bi thin enuye, which thou didist, hatinge hem, and Y schal be made knowun bi hem, whanne Y schal deme thee; |
| 35:12 | and thou schalt wite, that Y am the Lord. Y herde alle thi schenschipis, whiche thou spakist of the hillis of Israel, and seidist, The hillis of Israel ben forsakun, and ben youun to vs, for to deuoure. |
| 35:13 | And ye han rise on me with youre mouth, and ye han deprauyd ayens me; Y herde youre wordis. |
| 35:14 | The Lord God seith these thingis, While al the lond is glad, Y schal turne thee in to wildernesse. |
| 35:15 | As thou haddist ioie on the eritage of the hous of Israel, for it was distried, so Y schal do to thee; the hil of Seir schal be distried, and al Ydumee; and thei schulen wite, that Y am the Lord. |
| 35:1 | Moveover the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying, |
| 35:2 | Sonne of man, Set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesie against it, |
| 35:3 | And say vnto it, Thus sayth the Lord God, Behold, O mount Seir, I come against thee, and I wil stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee desolate and waste. |
| 35:4 | I wil lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt knowe that I am the Lord. |
| 35:5 | Because thou hast had a perpetuall hatred and hast put the children of Israel to flight by the force of the sword in the time of their calamitie, when their iniquitie had an ende, |
| 35:6 | Therefore as I liue, sayth the Lord God, I wil prepare thee vnto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: except thou hate blood, euen blood shall pursue thee. |
| 35:7 | Thus will I make mount Seir desolate and waste, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth. |
| 35:8 | And I will fill his mountaines with his slayne men: in thine hilles, and in thy valleys and in all thy riuers shall they fall, that are slayne with the sworde. |
| 35:9 | I wil make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not returne, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lord. |
| 35:10 | Because thou hast said, These two nations, and these two countreys shalbe mine, and we wil possesse them (seeing the Lord was there) |
| 35:11 | Therefore as I liue, sayth the Lord God, I wil euen do according to thy wrath, and according to thine indignation which thou hast vsed in thine hatred against them: and I wil make my selfe knowen among them whe I haue iudged thee. |
| 35:12 | And thou shalt know, that I the Lord haue heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountaines of Israel, saying, They lye waste, they are giuen vs to be deuoured. |
| 35:13 | Thus with your mouthes ye haue boasted against me, and haue multiplied your words against me: I haue heard them. |
| 35:14 | Thus sayth the Lord God, So shall all the world reioyce when I shall make thee desolate. |
| 35:15 | As thou diddest reioyce at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I doe vnto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea wholly, and they shall know, that I am the Lord. |
