| 2:1 | Gather your selues together, yea gather together, O nation not desired. |
| 2:2 | Before the decree bring foorth, before the day passe as the chaffe, before the fierce anger of the Lord come vpon you, before the day of the Lords anger come vpon you. |
| 2:3 | Seeke ye the Lord all ye meeke of the earth, which haue wrought his iudgement, seeke righteousnesse, seeke meeknesse: it may be, ye shall be hid in the day of the Lords anger. |
| 2:4 | For Gaza shall bee forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall driue out Ashdod at the noone day, and Ekron shall be rooted vp. |
| 2:5 | Woe vnto the inhabitants of the sea coast: the nation of the Cherethites, the word of the Lord is against you: O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will euen destroy thee, that there shal be no inhabitant. |
| 2:6 | And the sea coast shall bee dwellings and cottages for shepheards, and foldes for flockes. |
| 2:7 | And the coast shall bee for the remnant of the house of Iudah, they shall feede thereupon, in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie downe in the euening: for the Lord their God shall visite them, and turne away their captiuitie. |
| 2:8 | I haue heard the reproach of Moab, and the reuilings of the children of Ammon, whereby they haue reproched my people, and magnified themselues against their border. |
| 2:9 | Therefore, as I liue, saith the Lord of hostes the God of Israel, surely Moab shalbe as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, euen the breeding of netles, and salt pits, and a perpetuall desolation, the residue of my people shall spoile them, and the remnant of my people shall possesse them. |
| 2:10 | This shall they haue for their pride, because they haue reproched and magnified themselues against the people of the Lord of hostes. |
| 2:11 | The Lord will be terrible vnto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth, and men shall worship him, euery one from his place, euen all the Iles of the heathen. |
| 2:12 | Ye Ethiopians also, ye shalbe slaine by my sword. |
| 2:13 | And he wil stretch out his hand against the North, and destroy Assyria, and wil make Nineueh a desolation, and dry like a wildernes. |
| 2:14 | And flocks shall lie downe in the midst of her, all the beasts of the nations: both the Cormorant, and the Bitterne, shall lodge in the vpper lintels of it: their voice shal sing in the windowes, desolation shall be in the thresholds: for he shall vncouer the Cedar worke. |
| 2:15 | This is the reioycing citie that dwelt carelessely, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is shee become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie downe in! euery one that passeth by her, shall hisse and wagge his hand. |

| 2:7 | And that coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Iudah, to feede thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lodge toward night: for the Lord their God shall visite them, and turne away their captiuitie. |
| 2:8 | I haue heard the reproch of Moab, and the rebukes of the children of Ammon, whereby they vpbraided my people, and magnified themselues against their borders. |
| 2:9 | Therefore, as I liue, saith the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall bee as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorah, euen the breeding of nettels and salt pittes, and a perpetuall desolation: the residue of my folke shall spoyle them, and the remnant of my people shall possesse them. |

| 2:14 | And flockes shall lie in the middes of her, and all the beastes of the nations, and the pelicane, and the owle shall abide in the vpper postes of it: the voyce of birdes shall sing in the windowes, and desolations shalbe vpon the postes: for the cedars are vncouered. |
| 2:15 | This is the reioycing citie that dwelt carelesse, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none besides me: how is she made waste, and the lodging of the beastes! euery one that passeth by her, shall hisse and wagge his hand. |

| 2:5 | Wo vnto you that dwell vpon the see coost ye murtherous people: the worde of the Lord shal come vpon you. O Canaan thou lande of the Philistines, I will destroye the, so that there shall no man dwell in the eny more, |
| 2:6 | & as for the see coast, it shall be heardemens cotages & shepe foldes: |
| 2:7 | yee, it shalbe a porcion for soch as remayne of the house of Iuda, to fede ther vpon. In the houses of Ascalon shall they rest towarde nyght: for the Lord their God shal vyset them, & turne awaye their captiuite. |
| 2:8 | I haue herde the despite of Moab, & the blasphemyes of the children of Ammon how they haue shamefully intreated my people, & magnified them selues within the borders of their lande. |
| 2:9 | Therfore, as truly as I lyue (sayeth the Lord of hostes the God of Israel) Moab shalbe as Sodome & Ammon as Gomorra: euen drie thorne hedges, salt pittes & a perpetuall wyldernes. The resydue of my folcke shal spoyle them, the remnaunt of my people shal haue them in possession. |
| 2:10 | This shall happen vnto them for their pryde, because they haue dealte so shamefully with the Lorde of hostes people, & magnified them selues aboue them. |
| 2:11 | The Lord shall be grymme vpon them, & destroye all the goddes in the lande. And all the Iles of the Heathen shall worshippe him, euery man in his place. |
| 2:12 | Ye Moryans also shall perish wt my swerde: |
| 2:13 | yee, he shall stretch out his hande ouer the north, and destroye Assur. As for Niniue, he shall make it desolate, drye & waste. |
| 2:14 | The flockes & all the beastes of the people shall lye in the middest of it, pellicanes & storckes shal abyde in the vpper postes of it, foules shall synge in the wyndowes, & rauens shall sytt vpon the balckes, for the boordes of Cedre shalbe ryuen downe. |
| 2:15 | This is the proude and carelesse citye, that sayde in her herte. I am, and there is els none. O how is she made so waste, that the beastes lye therin? Who so goeth by, mocketh her, and poynteth at her with his fynger. |
