Zechariah - Chapter: 6

>
6:1Moreouer, I turned me, lyftynge vp myne eyes, and loked: and beholde there came .iiij. charettes oute from betwixte two hylles, whiche hylles were of brasse.
6:2In the fyrste charet were reade horse: in the second charet were blacke horse, in the thyrde charette were whyte horse,
6:3in the fourthe charet were horses of dyuerse colours and stronge.
6:4Then spake I, and sayde vnto the angel that talcked with me: O Lorde, what are these?
6:5The Aungell aunswered, and sayde vnto me: These are the .iiij. wyndes of the heauen, whiche be come forthe to stand before the ruler of al the earth.
6:6That with the blacke horse wente into the land of the northe, & the whyte folowed them, and the spekled horses wente forthe towarde the southe.
6:7These horses were very stronge, and wente oute, and soughte to go, and take theyr iourney ouer the whole earthe. And he sayde: get you hence, & go thorowe the worlde. So they wente thorowe oute the worlde.
6:8Then cryed he vpon me, and spake vnto me, saying: beholde, these that go towarde the north, shall styll my wrath in the northe countreye.
6:9And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying:
6:10Take of the presoners that are come from Babylon, namely, Heldai, Tobiah and Idaia: and come thou the same daye, and go into the house of Iosiah the sonne of Sophony.
6:11Then take golde and syluer, and make crounes thereof, and set them vpon the heade of Iesua the sonne of Ioseueh, the hye pryeste,
6:12and speake vnto hym: Thus sayth the Lorde of hostes: Behold the man whose name is the braunche: and he that shall sprynge vp after hym, shall buylde vp the temple of the Lorde,
6:13yea euen he shall buylde vp the temple of the Lord. He shall beare the prayse, he shal syt vpon the Lordes trone, and haue the domynacyon. A Priest shall be also vpon hys trone, & a peaceable councell shalbe betwixte them both.
6:14And the crounes shalbe in the temple of the Lorde, for a remembraunce vnto Helem, Tobiah, Idaia, and Hen the sonne of Sophony. And suche as be farre of, shal come and buylde the temple of the Lorde,
6:15that ye maye knowe, howe that the Lorde of hostes hath sent me vnto you. And this shal come to passe. Yf ye will herken diligently vnto the voyce of the Lorde youre God.

 

6:1Againe, I turned and lift vp mine eyes, and looked: and beholde, there came foure charets out from betweene two mountaines, and the mountaines were mountaines of brasse.
6:2In the first charet were red horses, and in the second charet blacke horses,
6:3And in the thirde charet white horses, and in the fourth charet, horses of diuers colours, and reddish.
6:4Then I answered, and saide vnto the Angell that talked with mee, What are these, my Lord?
6:5And the Angell answered, and sayde vnto mee, These are the foure spirites of the heauen, which goe foorth from standing with the Lord of all the earth.
6:6That with the blacke horse went forth into the land of the North, and the white went out after them, and they of diuers colours went forth toward the South countrey.
6:7And the reddish went out, and required to go, and passe through the world, and he sayde, Goe passe through the worlde. So they went thorowout the world.
6:8Then cryed hee vpon me, and spake vnto me, saying, Beholde, these that goe towarde the North countrey, haue pacified my spirit in the North countrey.
6:9And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
6:10Take of them of ye captiuitie, euen of Heldai, and of Tobijah, and Iedaiah, which are come from Babel, and come thou the same day, and goe vnto the house of Ioshiah, the sonne of Zephaniah.
6:11Take euen siluer, and golde, and make crownes, and set them vpon the head of Iehoshua, the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest,
6:12And speake vnto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hostes, and sayth, Behold the man whose name is the Branch, and he shall growe vp out of his place, and he shall build the Temple of the Lord.
6:13Euen hee shall build the Temple of the Lord, and he shall beare the glory, and shall sit and rule vpon his throne, and he shalbe a Priest vpon his throne, and the counsell of peace shall be betweene them both.
6:14And the crownes shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Iedaiah, and to Hen the sonne of Zephaniah, for a memoriall in the Temple of the Lord.
6:15And they that are farre off, shall come and build in the Temple of the Lord, and ye shall know, that the Lord of hostes hath sent me vnto you. And this shall come to passe, if ye will obey the voyce of the Lord your God.

 

6:1And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.
6:2In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses;
6:3And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses.
6:4Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord?
6:5And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.
6:6The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country.
6:7And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.
6:8Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.
6:9And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
6:10Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;
6:11Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;
6:12And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:
6:13Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
6:14And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD.
6:15And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.
