| 10:1 | They asked of Jehovah rain in a time of latter rain, Jehovah is making lightnings, And rain `in' showers He doth give to them. To each -- the herb in the field. |
| 10:2 | Because the teraphim did speak iniquity, And the diviners have seen a falsehood, And dreams of the vanity they speak, `With' vanity they give comfort, Therefore they have journeyed as a flock, They are afflicted, for there is no shepherd. |
| 10:3 | Against the shepherds did Mine anger burn, And against the he-goats I lay a charge, For inspected hath Jehovah of Hosts His flock, the house of Judah, And set them as His beauteous horse in battle. |
| 10:4 | From him `is' a corner-stone, From him a nail, from him a battle-bow, From him goeth forth every exactor together. |
| 10:5 | And they have been as heroes, Treading in mire of out-places in battle, And they have fought, for Jehovah `is' with them, And have put to shame riders of horses. |
| 10:6 | And I have made mighty the house of Judah, And the house of Joseph I do save, And I have caused them to dwell, for I have loved them, And they have been as `if' I had not cast them off, For I `am' Jehovah their God, And I answer them. |
| 10:7 | And Ephraim hath been as a hero, And rejoiced hath their heart as wine, And their sons see, and they have rejoiced, Rejoice doth their heart in Jehovah. |
| 10:8 | I hist for them, and I gather them, For I have redeemed them, And they have multiplied as they did multiply. |
| 10:9 | And I sow them among peoples, And in far-off places they remember Me, And they have lived with their sons, And they have turned back. |
| 10:10 | And I have brought them back from the land of Egypt, And from Asshur I do gather them, And unto the land of Gilead and Lebanon I do bring them in, And there is not found for them `space'. |
| 10:11 | And He hath passed over through the sea, And hath pressed and smitten billows in the sea, And dried up have been all depths of a flood, And brought down hath been the excellency of Asshur, And the rod of Egypt doth turn aside. |
| 10:12 | And I have made them mighty in Jehovah, And in His name they walk up and down, An affirmation of Jehovah! |

| 10:2 | For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd. |
| 10:3 | Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle. |

| 10:5 | And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded. |
| 10:6 | And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them. |
| 10:7 | And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD. |
| 10:8 | I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased. |
| 10:9 | And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again. |
| 10:10 | I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them. |
| 10:11 | And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away. |
| 10:12 | And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD. |

| 10:2 | For the family idols speak iniquity, and the diviners have seen a lie and have told false dreams. They comfort in vain. On account of this, they wandered like a flock. They were troubled because there was no shepherd. |
| 10:3 | My anger is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the he-goats. For Jehovah of hosts has visited His flock, the house of Judah and made them as His splendid horse in battle. |
| 10:4 | From Him came the cornerstone, from Him the nail, from Him came the battle bow, and from Him every ruler together. |
| 10:5 | And they shall be like mighty ones who trample the mud of the streets in the battle. And they shall fight because Jehovah is with them, and they shall make the riders of horses ashamed. |
| 10:6 | And I will make stronger the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph. And I will bring them back again to live, for I have pity on them. And they shall be as though I had not cast them off, for I am Jehovah their God, and I will answer them. |
| 10:7 | And Ephraim shall be like a mighty one, and their heart shall be glad as by wine. And their sons shall see and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in Jehovah. |
| 10:8 | I will whistle for them and gather them, for I have redeemed them. And they shall multiply as they were multiplied. |
| 10:9 | And I will sow them among the peoples, and they shall remember Me in far countries, and they shall live with their sons and return. |
| 10:10 | And I will return to save them out of the land of Egypt and gather them out of Assyria. And I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon, for room shall not be found for them. |
| 10:11 | And He shall pass through the sea of distress and strike the waves in the sea, and all the depths of the Nile shall dry up. And the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt shall go away. |
| 10:12 | And I will make them strong in Jehovah, and they shall walk up and down in His name, says Jehovah. |
