1:14	Azor begat Sadoc: Sadoc begat Achin: Achin begat Eliud:
1:15	Eliud begat Eliazar: Eliazar begat Matthan: Matthan begat Iacob:
1:16	Iacob begat Ioseph the husbande of Marie of which was borne that Iesus, that is called Christ.
1:17	All the generacions frome Abraham to Danid are .xiiij. generations. And from Dauid vnto the captiuitie of Babylon: are .xiiij. generations. And from the captiuitie of Babylon vnto Christe, are also fourtene generations.
1:18	The byrth of Iesus Christe was ou thys wise. When hys mother Mary was betrouthed to Ioseph, before they came to dwell together, she was founde with chylde by the holye Ghost.
1:19	Then Ioseph her husbande beinge a perfecte man and loth to make an ensample of her, was mynded to put her awaye secretly.
1:20	While he thus thought, behold the Aungel of the Lord appered vnto him in a dreame, sainge: Ioseph thou sonne of Dauid. fear not to take vnto the Mary thy wife. For that which is conceyued in her is of the holye Ghost.
1:21	She shall bryngforth a sonne, & thou shalt cal his name Iesus. For he shal saue his people from their sins.
1:22	All thys was done to fulfyll that whyche was spoken of the Lorde by the Prophet, saiynge:
1:23	Bholde a mayde shall be wyth chylde, and shal bringe forth a sonne, and they shall call hys name Emanuell, whyche is by interpretation, God wyth vs.
1:24	And Ioseph assone as he awoke out of slepe, did as the Aungel of the Lorde had bidden him, and toke hys wyfe vnto him,
1:25	and knewe her not tyl she had broughte forthe her fyrste sonne, and called hys name Iesus.

1:6	And Iesse begate Dauid the King. And Dauid the King begate Salomon of her that was the wife of Vrias.
1:7	And Salomon begate Roboam. And Roboam begate Abia. And Abia begate Asa.
1:8	And Asa begate Iosaphat. And Iosaphat begate Ioram. And Ioram begate Hozias.
1:9	And Hozias begat Ioatham. And Ioatham begate Achaz. And Achaz begate Ezekias.
1:10	And Ezekias begate Manasses. And Manasses begate Amon. And Amon begate Iosias.
1:11	And Iosias begate Iakim. And Iakim begate Iechonias and his brethren about the time they were caried away to Babylon.
1:12	And after they were caried away into Babylon, Iechonias begate Salathiel. And Salathiel begate Zorobabel.
1:13	And Zorobabel begate Abiud. And Abiud begate Eliacim. And Eliacim begate Azor.
1:14	And Azor begate Sadoc. And Sadoc begate Achim. And Achim begate Eliud.
1:15	And Eliud begate Eleazar. And Eleazar begate Matthan. And Matthan begate Iacob.
1:16	And Iacob begat Ioseph ye husband of Mary, of whom was borne Jesus, that is called Christ.
1:17	So all the generations from Abraham to Dauid, are fourtene generations. And from Dauid vntil they were caried away into Babylon, fourtene generations: and after they were caried away into Babylon vntill Christ, fourteene generations.
1:18	Nowe the birth of Jesus Christ was thus, When as his mother Mary was betrothed to Ioseph, before they came together, shee was found with childe of the holy Ghost.
1:19	Then Ioseph her husband being a iust man, and not willing to make her a publike example, was minded to put her away secretly.
1:20	But whiles he thought these things, behold, the Angel of the Lord appeared vnto him in a dreame, saying, Ioseph, the sonne of Dauid, feare not to take Mary thy wife: for that which is conceiued in her, is of the holy Ghost.
1:21	And she shall bring foorth a sonne, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for hee shall saue his people from their sinnes.
1:22	And al this was done that it might be fulfilled, which is spoken of the Lord by ye Prophet, saying,
1:23	Behold, a virgine shalbe with childe, and shall beare a sonne, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is by interpretation, God with vs.
1:24	Then Ioseph, being raised from sleepe, did as the Angel of the Lord had inioyned him, and tooke his wife.
1:25	But he knew her not, til she had broght forth her first borne sonne, and he called his name JESUS.

1:12	And after they were brought to Babylon, Iechonias begat Salathiel, and Salathiel begate Zorobabel.
1:13	And Zorobabel begat Abiud, and Abiud begat Eliakim, and Eliakim begate Azor.
1:14	And Azor begat Sadoc, & Sadoc begat Achim, and Achim begat Eliud.
1:15	And Eliud begate Eleazar, and Eleazar begate Matthan, and Matthan begate Iacob.
1:16	And Iacob begate Ioseph the husband of Mary, of whom was borne Iesus, who is called Christ.
1:17	So all the generations from Abraham to Dauid, are fourteene generations: and from Dauid vntill the carying away into Babylon, are foureteene generations: and from the carying away into Babylon vnto Christ, are fourteene generations.
1:18	Now the birth of Iesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Ioseph (before they came together) shee was found with childe of the holy Ghost.
1:19	Then Ioseph her husband being a iust man, and not willing to make her a publique example, was minded to put her away priuily.
1:20	But while hee thought on these things, behold, the Angel of the Lord appeared vnto him in a dreame, saying, Ioseph thou sonne of Dauid, feare not to take vnto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceiued in her, is of the holy Ghost.
1:21	And she shall bring forth a sonne, and thou shalt call his Name Iesus: for hee shall saue his people from their sinnes.
1:22	(Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the Prophet, saying,
1:23	Behold, a Uirgin shall be with childe, and shall bring foorth a sonne, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted, is, God with vs.)
1:24	Then Ioseph, being raised from sleepe, did as the Angel of the Lord had bidden him, & tooke vnto him his wife:
1:25	And knewe her not, till shee had brought forth her first borne sonne, and he called his name Iesus.
