| 10:4 | Simon of Canaan, and Iudas Iscarioth, which also be traied him. |
| 10:5 | Iesus sent forth these twelue in nombre, whom he commaunded, saying. Go not into the waye of the gentyls, and into the cytie of the Samaritans enter ye not. |
| 10:6 | But goo rather to the lost shepe of the house of Israell. |
| 10:7 | Go and preache, saying: The kyngdome of heauen is at hand. |
| 10:8 | Heale the sycke, clense the lepers, rayse the deed, cast out deuyls. Frely ye haue receaued: geue frely. |
| 10:9 | Possesse not golde nor syluer nor brasse in youre purses, |
| 10:10 | nor yet scrip towardes your iorney: nether two cotes, nether shoes, nor yet a rodde. For the worckman is worthy of his meate. |
| 10:11 | But to whatsoeuer cytie or towne ye shall come, enquyre who is worthy in it, and there abyde tyll ye go thence. |
| 10:12 | And when ye come into an house, salute the same. |
| 10:13 | And yf the house be worthy, let youre peace come vpon it. But yf it be not worthy, let youre peace retourne to you agayne. |
| 10:14 | And whosoeuer shall not receaue you, nor wyll heare youre preachynge: when ye departe oute of that house or that cytie shake of the duste of youre fete. |
| 10:15 | Uerely I saye vnto you: it shalbe easier for the land of Zodoma and Gomorra in the daye of iudgement, then for that cytie. |
| 10:16 | Beholde, I sende you forth, as shepe among wolues. Be ye therfore wyse as serpentes and innocent as doues. |
| 10:17 | But beware of men, for they shall delyuer you vp to the councels, and shall scourge you in their synagoges. |
| 10:18 | And ye shall be brought to the heed rulers, and kynges, for my sake, in wytnes to them and to the gentyls. |
| 10:19 | But when they delyuer you vp, take ye no thought, how or what ye shall speake: for it shalbe geuen you, euen in that same houre what ye shall speake. |
| 10:20 | For it is not ye that speke, but the spryte of youre father which speaketh in yon. |
| 10:21 | The brother shall delyuer vp the brother to deeth, & the father the sonne. And the children shal aryse agaynst their fathers and mothers, and shall put them to deeth: |
| 10:22 | & ye shalbe hated of all men for my name sake. But he that endureth to the ende, shalbe saued. |
| 10:23 | But when they persecute you in this cytie, flye ye into another. For verely I saye vnto you: ye shall not go thorowe all the cyties of Israell tyll the sonne of man be come. |
| 10:24 | The disciple is not aboue the master: nor the seruaunt aboue his Lord. |
| 10:25 | It is ynough for the disciple, that he be as his master is, and that the seruaunt be as his Lorde is. If they haue called the Lord of the house, Beelzebub: how moche more shal they call them of his householde so? |
| 10:26 | Feare them not therfore. For there is nothing closse, that shall not be opened: and nothynge hyd, that shall not be knowen. |
| 10:27 | What I tel you in darknes, that speake ye in lyght. And what ye heare in the eare, that preache ye on the house toppes. |
| 10:28 | And feare ye not them which kyll the body but are not able to kyll the soule. But rather feare him, which is able to destroye both soule and body into hell. |
| 10:29 | Are not two lytle sparowes sold for a farthyng? And one of them shall not lyght on the grounde with out youre father. |
| 10:30 | Yee, euen al the heares of your head are nombred. |
| 10:31 | Feare ye not therfore: ye are of more value then many sparowes. |
| 10:32 | Euery one therfore that shall knowledge me before men, him will I knowledge also before my father which is in heauen. |
| 10:33 | But whosoeuer shall denye me before men him will I also denye before my father, which is in heauen. |
| 10:34 | Thinke not that I am come to sende peace into the erth. I came not to send peace, but a sweard. |
| 10:35 | For I am come to set a man at variaunce agaynst his father, & the daughter agaynst her mother, & the daughter in lawe agaynst her mother in lawe. |
| 10:36 | And a mannes foes shalbe they that are of his awne houshold. |
| 10:37 | He that loueth father, or mother more then me, is not worthy of me. And he that loueth sonne or daughter more then me, is not worthy of me. |
| 10:38 | And he that taketh not hys crosse and foloweth me, is not worthy of me |
| 10:39 | He that fyndeth his lyfe, shall lose it: and he that losyth his lyfe for my sake, shall fynde it. |
| 10:40 | He that receaueth you, receaueth me: & he that receaueth me, receaueth him that sent me. |
| 10:41 | He that receaueth a prophet in the name of a prophet, shal receaue a prophetes rewarde. And he that receaueth a ryghteous man, in the name of a ryghteous man, shall receaue a righteous mans rewarde: |
| 10:42 | And whosoeuer shall geue vnto one of these lytle ones to dryncke, a cuppe of colde water onely (in the name of a disciple) verely I saye vnyou, he shall not lose his rewarde. |

| 10:11 | In to what euere citee or castel ye schulen entre, axe ye who therynne is worthi, and there dwelle ye, til ye go out. |
| 10:12 | And whanne ye goon in to an hous, `grete ye it, and seyn, Pees to this hous. |
| 10:13 | And if thilk hous be worthi, youre pees schal come on it; but if that hous be not worthi, youre pees schal turne ayen to you. |
| 10:14 | And who euere resseyueth not you, nethir herith youre wordis, go ye fro that hous or citee, and sprenge of the dust of youre feet. |
| 10:15 | Treuly Y seie to you, it shal be more suffrable to the loond of men of Sodom and of Gommor in the dai of iugement, than to thilke citee. |
| 10:16 | Lo! Y sende you as scheep in the myddil of wolues; therfor be ye sliy as serpentis, and symple as dowues. |
| 10:17 | But be ye war of men, for thei schulen take you in counseilis, and thei schulen bete you in her synagogis; |
| 10:18 | and to meyris, or presidentis, and to kyngis, ye schulen be lad for me, in witnessyng to hem, and to the hethen men. |
| 10:19 | But whanne thei take you, nyle ye thenke, hou or what thing ye schulen speke, for it shal be youun `to you in that our, what ye schulen speke; |
| 10:20 | for it ben not ye that speken, but the spirit of youre fadir, that spekith in you. |
| 10:21 | `And the brother shal take the brother in to deeth, and the fader the sone, and sones schulen rise ayens fadir and modir, and schulen turmente hem bi deeth. |
| 10:22 | And ye schulen be in hate to alle men for my name; but he that shall dwelle stille in to the ende, shal be saaf. |
| 10:23 | And whanne thei pursuen you in this citee, fle ye in to anothir. Treuli Y seie to you, ye schulen not ende the citees of Israel, to for that mannus sone come. |
| 10:24 | The disciple is not aboue the maistir, ne the seruaunt aboue hys lord; |
| 10:25 | it is ynowy to the disciple, that he be as his maistir, and to the seruaunt as his lord. If thei han clepid the hosebonde man Belsabub, hou myche more his houshold meyne? |
| 10:26 | Therfor drede ye not hem; for no thing is hid, that schal not be shewid; and no thing is priuey, that schal not be wist. |
| 10:27 | That thing that Y seie to you in derknessis, seie ye in the liyt; and preche ye on housis, that thing that ye heeren in the ere. |
| 10:28 | And nyle ye drede hem that sleen the bodi; for thei moun not sle the soule; but rather drede ye hym, that mai lese bothe soule and bodi in to helle. |
| 10:29 | Whether twei sparewis ben not seeld for an halpeny? and oon of hem shal not falle on the erthe with outen youre fadir. |
| 10:30 | `And alle the heeris of youre heed ben noumbrid. |
| 10:31 | nyle ye drede; ye ben betere than many sparewis. |
| 10:32 | Therfor euery man that schal knouleche me bifore men, Y schal knouleche hym bifor my fadir that is in heuenes. |
| 10:33 | But he that shal denye me bifor men, and I shal denye him bifor my fadir that is in heuenes. |
| 10:34 | Nile ye deme, that Y cam to sende pees in to erthe; Y cam not to sende pees, but swerd. |
| 10:35 | For Y cam to departe a man ayens his fadir, and the douytir ayens hir modir, and the sones wijf ayens the housbondis modir; |

| 10:37 | He that loueth fadir or modir more than me, is not worthi to me. And he that loueth sone or douyter ouer me, is not worthi to me. |
