Matthew - Chapter: 24

>
24:1And Iesus went out and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to hym for to shew him the building of the temple.
24:2Iesus sayde vnto them: Se ye not all these thinges? Verely I say vnto you there shal not be here left one stone vpon another that shall not be cast doune.
24:3And as he sate vpon the mounte Oliuet: his disciples came vnto him secretlye saying. Tell vs when these thinges shalbe: and what sygne shalbe of thy comminge and of the ende of the worlde?
24:4And Iesus aunswered and sayd vnto them: take hede that no man deceyue you.
24:5For many shal come in my name sayng: I am Christe: and shall deceyue many.
24:6Ye shall heare of warres? and of the fame of warres: but se that ye be not troubled. For all these thinges muste come to passe, but the ende is not yet.
24:7For nacion shall ryse against nacion and realme against realme: and ther shalbe pestylence, honger and earth quakes in certayne places?
24:8All these are the begynnynge of sorowes.
24:9Then shall they put you to trouble, and shall kyll you: and ye shalbe hated of all nacions for my names sake.
24:10And then shall manye be offended, and shal betray one another, and shall hate one the other.
24:11And manye false prophetes shall aryse, and shall deceyue manye.
24:12And because iniquite shall haue the vpper hande the loue of manye shall abate.
24:13But he that endureth to the ende, the same shall be safe.
24:14And this glad tydinges of the kingdome shalbe preached in all the worlde, for a wytnes vnto all nacions: & then shal the ende come.
24:15When ye therfore shall se the abhomination that betokeneth desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophete, stande in the holye place (let hym that readeth it, vnderstande it)
24:16then let theim which be in Iurye, flye into the mountaines.
24:17And let him which is on the house toppe not come doune to fetche anye thinge out of his house.
24:18Neither let him which in is the fielde returne backe to fetche his clothes.
24:19Wo in those daies to theim that are with childe, and to them that geue sucke.
24:20But praye that youre flyghte be not in the Winter, neyther on the saboth daye.
24:21For then shalbe great trybulacion such as was not from the beginninge of the worlde to this tyme, nor shalbe:
24:22yea, and except those dayes should be shortened, there shoulde no fleshe be saued: but for the chosens sake, those daies shalbe shortened.
24:23Then if anye man shall saye vnto you: lo here is Christe, or there is christ: beleue it not.
24:24For there shall aryse false Christes, and false prophetes, and shall do great myracles and wonders. In so much that if it were possyble the very electe should be deceiued.
24:25Take hede, I haue tolde you before.
24:26Wherfor if they shal saye vnto you: beholde he is in the deserte, in the secrete places beleue not.
24:27For as the lyghteninge cometh out of the east, and shyneth into the west, so shal the comminge of the sonne of man be.
24:28For whersoeuer a dead carkes is, euen thither wyl egles resort.
24:29Immediatly after the trybulations of those dayes, shall the sonne be darkened: and the mone shall not gyue hyr lyght, and the starre shal fall from heauen, & the powers of heauen shal moue.
24:30And then shal apeare the sygne of the sonne of man in heauen. And then shall all the kynredes of the earth morne, and they shall se the sonne of man come in the cloudes of heauen with power and great glorye.
24:31And he shall sende his aungels with the greate voyce of a trompe, and they shall gader together his chosen from the foure windes, and from the one ende of the worlde to the other.
24:32Learne a symylytude of the fygge tre: when his braunches are yet tendre, and his leaues spronge, ye knowe that sommer is nye,
24:33so lykewyse ye, when ye se all these thynges, be ye sure that it is neare euen at the dores.
24:34Verely I say vnto you, that this generation shal not passe tyll all these be fulfylled.
24:35Heauen & earth shal perishe, but my wordes shal abide.
24:36But of that daye and houre knoweth no man, no not the aungels of heauen, but my father onelye.
24:37As the tyme of Noe was, so lykewyse shal the commynge of the sonne of man be.
24:38For as in the dayes before the floude, they did eate & drinke, mary and were maried, euen vnto the daye that Noe entred into the shippe,
24:39& knew of nothinge, tyll the floude came and toke them all awaye. So shal also the comminge of the sonne of man be.
24:40Then two shall be in the fielde, the one shalbe receyued, and the other shalbe refused,
24:41two shalbe grindinge at the myll, the one shalbe receyued, and the other shalbe refused.
24:42Wake therfor, because ye knowe not what houre your maister wyl come.
24:43Of this be sure, that if the good man of the house knewe what houre the these woulde come, he would suerlye watche, and not suffer his house to be broken vp.
24:44Therfore be ye also redye, for in the houre ye thinke he woulde not, wyll the sonne of man come.
24:45Yf there be anye faythful seruaunt and wyse, whome his maister hath made rueler ouer his housholde to geue them meate in season conuenient:
24:46happy is that seruaunt whom his maister (when he cometh) shall fynde so doyinge.
24:47Verelye I saye vnto you, he shall make hym ruler ouer all hys goodes.
24:48But and if that euyll seruaunt shall saye in his herte, my maister wyll defer hys commynge,
24:49and begynne to smyte his felowes, yea, and to eate and to drinke with the dronken:
24:50that seruauntes maister wyll come in a daye when he loketh not for him, and in an houre that he is not ware of,
24:51and wyll deuide hym, and geue him his rewarde with hipocrites. There shalbe weping and gnashing of tethe.

24:1And Iesus went out, & departed from the temple: & hys discyples came to him, for to shewe him the byldynges of the temple.
24:2Iesus sayde vnto them: Se ye not all these thinges? Uerely I saye vnto you ther shall not be here lefte one stone vpon another, that shall not be destroyed.
24:3And as he sat vpon mount Oliuete, hys disciples came vnto him secretly, saying: Tell vs: when shall these thinges be: & what shalbe the token of thy commyng & of the ende of the world?
24:4And Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them: take hede, that no man deceaue you.
24:5For many shall come in my name, sayinge: I am Chryst: & shall deceaue many
24:6ye shall heare of warres, & tidinges of warres: be not troubled. For all must come to passe, but the ende is not yet.
24:7Nacion shall ryse agaynst nacion, and realme agaynst realme: and ther shalbe pestilence, & hunger, and erthquakes in all places.
24:8All these are the begynnynges of sorowes.
24:9Then shall they put you to trouble, and shall kyll you: & ye shalbe hated of all nacions for my names sake.
24:10And then shall many be offended, & shall betraye one another, & shall hate one another.
24:11And many false prophetes shall aryse, & shall deceaue many.
24:12And because iniquite shall haue the vpper hand, the loue of many shall abate.
24:13But he that endureth to the ende, the same shalbe safe.
24:14And this Gospell of the kyngdome shalbe preached in all the worlde, for a wytnes vnto all nacyons, and then shall the ende come.
24:15When ye therfore shall se the abhominacion of desolacion (that was spoken of by Daniel the prophet) stande in the holy place: whoso readeth it let him vnderstande.
24:16Then lett them whych be in Iewry, flye into the mountaynes.
24:17And let hym whych is on the house toppe, not come downe to fet eny thinge out of hys house.
24:18Nether let him whych is in the felde, returne backe to fetche his clothes.
24:19Wo shalbe in those dayes to them that are wt chylde, & to them that geue sucke.
24:20But praye ye that youre flyght be not in the winter, nether on the Saboth daye.
24:21For then shalbe great tribulacions suche as was not sens the begynning of the worlde to this tyme, nor shalbe.
24:22Ye & except those dayes shulde be shortened, there shulde no fleshe be saued: but for the chosens sake, those dayes shalbe shortened.
24:23Then yf eny man saye vnto you: lo here is Chryst, or there: beleue it not.
24:24For there shall aryse false Chrystes, and false prophetes and shall shew great miracles, & wondres. In so moch (that yf it were possyble) the verie electe shuld be deceaued:
24:25behold, I haue tolde you before.
24:26Wherfore, yf they saye vnto you: beholde, he is in the desert, go not ye forth: behold, he is in the secret places, beleue it not.
24:27For as the lyghtnynge commeth out of the East, and appeareth into the west: so shall the commynge of the sonne of man be.
24:28For wheresoeuer a deed karkas is, euen thether wyll the Egles also be gathered together.
24:29Immediatly after the tribulacyons of those dayes, shall the sonne be derkened: & the moone shall not geue her lyght, and the starres shall fall from heauen, & the powers of heauen shall be moued.
24:30And then shall appeare the token of the sonne of man in heauen. And then shall all the kynredes of the earth mourne, and they shall se the sonne of man commyng in the cloudes of heauen, wyth power & greate glorie
24:31And he shall sende his Angels wt the greate voyce of a trompett, & they shall gather to gether his chosen, from the foure wyndes: euen from the hyghest partes of heauen, vntyll the endes ther of.
24:32Learne a symilitude of the fygge tree: When hys braunches is yet tender, & the leaues sprong, ye knowe that sommer is nye.
24:33So lykewyse ye, when ye se all these thinges, be ye sure that it is neare, euen at the dores.
24:34Uerely I saye vnto you: this generacion shal not passe, tyll all these thinges be fulfylled
24:35Heauen & earth shall passe, but my wordes shall not passe.
24:36But of that daye and houre knoweth no man, no not the angels of heauen, but my father onely.
24:37But as the dayes of Noe were, so shall also the commynge of the sonne of man be.
24:38For as in the dayes (that went before the floud) they dyd eate and dryncke, mary, and were maryed, euen vntyll the daye that Noe entred into the shyppe,
24:39and knewe not tyll the floud came and toke them all awaye: So shall also the commynge of the sonne of man be.
24:40Then shall two be in the felde, the one receaued, & the other refused
24:41two wemen shalbe gryndinge at the myll, the one receaned & the other refused.
24:42Watch therfore, for ye knowe not what houre your lord will come.
24:43Of this yet be sure, that yf the good man of the house knew what houre the thefe wolde come: he wolde suerly watche, & not suffre hys house to be broken vp.
24:44Therfore, be ye also ready, for in soch an houre as ye thynke not: wyll the sonne of man come.
24:45Who is a faythfull & wyse seruaunt, whom his Lorde hath made ruler ouer his housholde, to geue them meate in season.
24:46Blessed is that seruaunt whom hys Lord (when he cometh) shall fynde so doynge:
24:47Uerely I saye vnto you, that he shall make hym ruler ouer all hys goodes.
24:48But & yf that euyll seruaunt saye in hys herte, my Lorde wyll be long a commyng
24:49(and so begynne to smyte his felowes, yee, and to eate & drincke wyth the droncken)
24:50the same seruauntes Lord shall come in a daye when he loketh not for hym, and in an houre that he is not ware of,
24:51& shall hewe him in peces, & geue hym his porcyon wyth ypocrites: there shalbe wepynge and gnasshynge of teth.

24:1And Iesus went out, and departed from the Temple, and his disciples came to him, to shewe him the building of the Temple.
24:2And Iesus sayd vnto them, See ye not all these things? Verely I say vnto you, there shall not be here left a stone vpon a stone, that shall not be cast downe.
24:3And as he sate vpon the mount of Oliues, his disciples came vnto him apart, saying, Tell vs when these things shall be, and what signe shalbe of thy comming, and of the ende of the world.
24:4And Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them, Take heede that no man deceiue you.
24:5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceiue many.
24:6And ye shall heare of warres, and rumours of warres: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to passe, but the end is not yet.
24:7For nation shall rise against nation, and realme against realme, and there shalbe famine, and pestilence, and earthquakes in diuers places.
24:8All these are but ye beginning of sorowes.
24:9Then shall they deliuer you vp to be afflicted, and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated of all nations for my Names sake.
24:10And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
24:11And many false prophets shall arise, and shall deceiue many.
24:12And because iniquitie shalbe increased, the loue of many shalbe colde.
24:13But he that endureth to the ende, he shalbe saued.
24:14And this Gospel of the kingdome shalbe preached through the whole world for a witnes vnto all nations, and then shall the end come.
24:15When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the Prophet, set in the holy place (let him that readeth consider it.)
24:16Then let them which be in Iudea, flee into the mountaines.
24:17Let him which is on the house top, not come downe to fetch any thing out of his house.
24:18And he that is in the fielde, let not him returne backe to fetch his clothes.
24:19And woe shalbe to them that are with childe, and to them that giue sucke in those dayes.
24:20But pray that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day.
24:21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the worlde to this time, nor shalbe.
24:22And except those dayes should be shortened, there should no flesh be saued: but for the elects sake those dayes shalbe shortened.
24:23Then if any shall say vnto you, Loe, here is Christ, or there, beleeue it not.
24:24For there shall arise false Christes, and false prophets, and shall shewe great signes and wonders, so that if it were possible, they should deceiue the very elect.
24:25Beholde, I haue tolde you before.
24:26Wherefore if they shall say vnto you, Beholde, he is in the desert, goe not forth: Beholde, he is in the secret places, beleeue it not.
24:27For as the lightning commeth out of the East, and is seene into the West, so shall also the comming of the Sonne of man be.
24:28For wheresoeuer a dead carkeis is, thither will the Egles be gathered together.
24:29And immediatly after ye tribulations of those dayes, shall the sunne be darkened, and the moone shall not giue her light, and the starres shall fal from heauen, and ye powers of heaue shalbe shake.
24:30And then shall appeare the signe of the Sonne of man in heauen: and then shall all the kinreds of the earth mourne, and they shall see the Sonne of man come in the cloudes of heauen with power and great glorie.
24:31And he shall send his Angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect, from the foure windes, and from the one ende of the heauens vnto the other.
24:32Now learne the parable of the figge tree: when her bough is yet tender, and it putteth foorth leaues, ye knowe that sommer is neere.
24:33So likewise ye, when ye see all these things, know that the kingdom of God is neere, eue at ye doores.
24:34Verely I say vnto you, this generation shall not passe, till all these things be done.
24:35Heauen and earth shall passe away: but my wordes shall not passe away.
24:36But of that day and houre knoweth no man, no not the Angels of heauen, but my father only.
24:37But as the dayes of Noe were, so likewise shall the comming of the Sonne of man be.
24:38For as in the dayes before the flood, they did eate and drinke, marrie, and giue in mariage, vnto the day that Noe entred into the Arke,
24:39And knewe nothing, till the flood came, and tooke them all away, so shall also the comming of the Sonne of man be.
24:40Then two shall be in the fieldes, the one shalbe receiued, and the other shalbe refused.
24:41Two women shalbe grinding at ye mill: the one shalbe receiued, and the other shalbe refused.
24:42Watch therefore: for ye knowe not what houre your master will come.
24:43Of this be sure, that if the good man of the house knewe at what watch the thiefe would come, he woulde surely watch, and not suffer his house to be digged through.
24:44Therefore be ye also ready: for in the houre that ye thinke not, will the Sonne of man come.
24:45Who then is a faithfull seruaunt and wise, whom his master hath made ruler ouer his household, to giue them meate in season?
24:46Blessed is that seruant, whom his master when he commeth, shall finde so doing.
24:47Verely I say vnto you, he shall make him ruler ouer all his goods.
24:48But if that euil seruant shall say in his heart, My master doth deferre his comming,
24:49And begin to smite his fellowes, and to eate, and to drinke with the drunken,
24:50That seruaunts master will come in a day, when he looketh not for him, and in an houre that he is not ware of,
24:51And will cut him off, and giue him his portion with hypocrites: there shalbe weeping, and gnashing of teeth.
