28:1Now in the end of the Sabbath, when the first day of ye weeke began to dawne, Marie Magdalene, and the other Marie came to see the sepulchre,
28:2And behold, there was a great earthquake: for the Angel of the Lord descended from heauen, and came and rolled backe the stone from the doore, and sate vpon it.
28:3And his countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snowe.
28:4And for feare of him, the keepers were astonied, and became as dead men.
28:5But the Angel answered, and said to the women, Feare ye not: for I know that ye seeke Iesus which was crucified:
28:6He is not here, for he is risen; as he saide: come, see the place where the Lord was laid,
28:7And go quickly, and tel his disciples that he is risen from ye dead: and behold, he goeth before you into Galile: there ye shall see him: loe, I haue told you.
28:8So they departed quickly from the sepulchre, with feare and great ioye, and did runne to bring his disciples worde.
28:9And as they wet to tel his disciples, behold, Iesus also met the, saying, God saue you. And they came, and tooke him by the feete, and worshipped him.
28:10Then said Iesus vnto them, Be not afraide. Goe, and tell my brethren, that they goe into Galile, and there shall they see me.
28:11Nowe when they were gone, beholde, some of the watch came into the citie, and shewed vnto the hie Priestes all ye things that were done.
28:12And they gathered them together with the Elders, and tooke counsell, and gaue large money vnto the souldiers,
28:13Saying, Say, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
28:14And if this matter come before the gouernour to be heard, we will perswade him, and so vse the matter that you shall not neede to care.
28:15So they tooke the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is noysed among the Iewes vnto this day.
28:16Then ye eleuen disciples wet into Galile, into a mountaine, where Iesus had appointed the.
28:17And when they sawe him, they worshipped him: but some douted.
28:18And Iesus came, and spake vnto them, saying, All power is giuen vnto me, in heauen, and in earth.
28:19Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and the Sonne, and the holy Ghost,
28:20Teaching them to obserue all things, whatsoeuer I haue commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, vntill the ende of the worlde, Amen.

28:1At the end of the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
28:2And behold, there was a large earthquake; because, the angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it.
28:3His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow.
28:4And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men.
28:5But the angel responded and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, because I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.
28:6He is not here; because He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
28:7And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and behold, He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you."
28:8So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell His disciples.
28:9And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, "Greetings." And they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him.
28:10Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me."
28:11Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city, and reported to the chief priests all the things that had happened.
28:12When they had assembled with the elders and took counsel, they gave a large amount of money to the soldiers,
28:13saying, "Tell them, 'His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we slept.'
28:14And if this comes to the governor's ears, we will persuade him and protect you."
28:15So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
28:16Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to a mountain where Jesus had appointed for them.
28:17And when they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.
28:18And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth."
28:19"Go therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"
28:20teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
