Matthew - Chapter: 28

>
28:1And on the eve of the sabbaths, at the dawn, toward the first of the sabbaths, came Mary the Magdalene, and the other Mary, to see the sepulchre,
28:2and lo, there came a great earthquake, for a messenger of the Lord, having come down out of heaven, having come, did roll away the stone from the door, and was sitting upon it,
28:3and his countenance was as lightning, and his clothing white as snow,
28:4and from the fear of him did the keepers shake, and they became as dead men.
28:5And the messenger answering said to the women, `Fear not ye, for I have known that Jesus, who hath been crucified, ye seek;
28:6he is not here, for he rose, as he said; come, see the place where the Lord was lying;
28:7and having gone quickly, say ye to his disciples, that he rose from the dead; and lo, he doth go before you to Galilee, there ye shall see him; lo, I have told you.'
28:8And having gone forth quickly from the tomb, with fear and great joy, they ran to tell to his disciples;
28:9and as they were going to tell to his disciples, then lo, Jesus met them, saying, `Hail!' and they having come near, laid hold of his feet, and did bow to him.
28:10Then saith Jesus to them, `Fear ye not, go away, tell to my brethren that they may go away to Galilee, and there they shall see me.'
28:11And while they are going on, lo, certain of the watch having come to the city, told to the chief priests all the things that happened,
28:12and having been gathered together with the elders, counsel also having taken, they gave much money to the soldiers,
28:13saying, `Say ye, that his disciples having come by night, stole him -- we being asleep;
28:14and if this be heard by the governor, we will persuade him, and you keep free from anxiety.'
28:15And they, having received the money, did as they were taught, and this account was spread abroad among Jews till this day.
28:16And the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mount where Jesus appointed them,
28:17and having seen him, they bowed to him, but some did waver.
28:18And having come near, Jesus spake to them, saying, `Given to me was all authority in heaven and on earth;
28:19having gone, then, disciple all the nations, (baptizing them -- to the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
28:20teaching them to observe all, whatever I did command you,) and lo, I am with you all the days -- till the full end of the age.'

28:1In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
28:2And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
28:3His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
28:4And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
28:5And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
28:6He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
28:7And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
28:8And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
28:9And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
28:10Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.
28:11Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.
28:12And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
28:13Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
28:14And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
28:15So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
28:16Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
28:17And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
28:18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
28:19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
28:20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

28:1But after the sabbaths, at the dawning of the first of the sabbaths, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the grave.
28:2And, behold! A great earthquake occurred! For descending from Heaven and coming near, an angel of the Lord rolled away the stone from the door and was sitting on it.
28:3And his face was as lightning and his clothing white as snow.
28:4And those keeping guard were shaken from the fear of him, and they became as dead.
28:5But answering, the angel said to the women, You must not fear, for I know that you seek Jesus who has been crucified.
28:6He is not here, for He was raised, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying.
28:7And going quickly say to His disciples that He was raised from the dead. And behold! He goes before you into Galilee. You will see Him there. Behold! I told you.
28:8And going away from the tomb quickly, with fear and great joy, they ran to report to His disciples.
28:9But as they were going to report to His disciples, behold, Jesus also met them, saying, Hail! And coming near, they seized His feet and worshiped Him.
28:10Then Jesus said to them, Do not fear. Go tell your brothers that they may go into Galilee, and there they will see Me.
28:11And they, having gone, behold, some of the guard coming into the city reported to the chief priests all things that occurred.
28:12And being assembled with the elders, and taking counsel, they gave enough silver to the soldiers,
28:13saying, Say that his disciples came and stole him by night, we being asleep.
28:14And if this is heard by the governor, we will persuade him and will make you free from anxiety.
28:15And taking the silver, they did as they were taught. And this report was spread by the Jews until today.
28:16But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, to the mount where Jesus appointed them.
28:17And seeing Him, they worshiped Him. But they doubted.
28:18And coming up Jesus talked with them, saying, All authority in Heaven and on earth was given to Me.
28:19Going, then, disciple all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
28:20teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the completion of the age. Amen.
