Mark - Chapter: 3

>
3:1And he entred againe into ye Synagogue, and there was a man which had a withered had.
3:2And they watched him, whether he would heale him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him.
3:3Then he saide vnto the man which had the withered hand, Arise: stand forth in the middes.
3:4And he saide to them, Is it lawfull to doe a good deede on the Sabbath day, or to doe euil? to saue the life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
3:5Then hee looked rounde about on them angerly, mourning also for the hardnesse of their hearts, and saide to the man, Stretch foorth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hande was restored, as whole as the other.
3:6And the Pharises departed, and straightway gathered a councill with the Herodians against him, that they might destroy him.
3:7But Iesus auoided with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude followed him from Galile, and from Iudea,
3:8And from Ierusalem, and from Idumea, and beyonde Iordan: and they that dwelled about Tyrus and Sidon, when they had heard what great things he did, came vnto him in great number.
3:9And he commanded his disciples, that a litle shippe should waite for him, because of the multitude, lest they shoulde throng him.
3:10For hee had healed many, in so much that they preassed vpon him to touch him, as many as had plagues.
3:11And when the vncleane spirits sawe him, they fel downe before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Sonne of God.
3:12And he sharply rebuked them, to the ende they should not vtter him.
3:13Then hee went vp into a mountaine, and called vnto him whome he woulde, and they came vnto him.
3:14And hee appoynted twelue that they should be with him, and that he might send them to preache,
3:15And that they might haue power to heale sicknesses, and to cast out deuils.
3:16And the first was Simon, and hee named Simon, Peter,
3:17Then Iames the sonne of Zebedeus, and Iohn Iames brother (and surnamed them Boanerges, which is, the sonnes of thunder,)
3:18And Andrew, and Philippe, and Bartlemew, and Matthewe, and Thomas, and Iames, the sonne of Alpheus, and Thaddeus, and Simon the Cananite,
3:19And Iudas Iscariot, who also betraied him, and they came home.
3:20And the multitude assembled againe, so that they could not so much as eate bread.
3:21And when his kinsfolkes heard of it, they went out to laie hold on him: for they sayde that he was beside himselfe.
3:22And the Scribes which came downe from Hierusalem, saide, He hath Beelzebub, and through the prince of the deuils he casteth out deuils.
3:23But he called them vnto him, and said vnto them in parables, How can Satan driue out Satan?
3:24For if a kingdome bee deuided against it selfe, that kingdome can not stand.
3:25Or if a house bee deuided against it selfe, that house can not continue.
3:26So if Satan make insurrection against himselfe, and be deuided, hee can not endure but is at an ende.
3:27No man can enter into a strong mans house, and take away his goods, except hee first binde that strong man, and then spoyle his house.
3:28Verely I say vnto you, all sinnes shalbe forgiuen vnto the children of men, and blasphemies, wherewith they blaspheme:
3:29But hee that blasphemeth against the holy Ghost, shall neuer haue forgiuenesse, but is culpable of eternall damnation.
3:30Because they saide, Hee had an vncleane spirit.
3:31Then came his brethren and mother, and stoode without, and sent vnto him, and called him.
3:32And the people sate about him, and they said vnto him, Beholde, thy mother, and thy brethren seeke for thee without.
3:33But hee answered them, saying, Who is my mother and my brethren?
3:34And hee looked rounde about on them, which sate in compasse about him, and saide, Beholde my mother and my brethren.
3:35For whosoeuer doeth the will of God, he is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

3:1And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.
3:2And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.
3:3And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
3:4And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
3:5And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
3:6And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
3:7But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea,
3:8And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.
3:9And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.
3:10For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.
3:11And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
3:12And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.
3:13And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.
3:14And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,
3:15And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:
3:16And Simon he surnamed Peter;
3:17And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:
3:18And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,
3:19And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.
3:20And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
3:21And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.
3:22And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
3:23And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
3:24And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
3:25And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
3:26And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
3:27No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
3:28Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
3:29But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
3:30Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
3:31There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.
3:32And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
3:33And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
3:34And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
3:35For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
