Mark - Chapter: 3

>
3:1And he entered again into the synagogue, and there was there a man having the hand withered,
3:2and they were watching him, whether on the sabbaths he will heal him, that they might accuse him.
3:3And he saith to the man having the hand withered, `Rise up in the midst.'
3:4And he saith to them, `Is it lawful on the sabbaths to do good, or to do evil? life to save, or to kill?' but they were silent.
3:5And having looked round upon them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their heart, he saith to the man, `Stretch forth thy hand;' and he stretched forth, and his hand was restored whole as the other;
3:6and the Pharisees having gone forth, immediately, with the Herodians, were taking counsel against him how they might destroy him.
3:7And Jesus withdrew with his disciples unto the sea, and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judea,
3:8and from Jerusalem, and from Idumea and beyond the Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon -- a great multitude -- having heard how great things he was doing, came unto him.
3:9And he said to his disciples that a little boat may wait on him, because of the multitude, that they may not press upon him,
3:10for he did heal many, so that they threw themselves on him, in order to touch him -- as many as had plagues;
3:11and the unclean spirits, when they were seeing him, were falling down before him, and were crying, saying -- `Thou art the Son of God;'
3:12and many times he was charging them that they might not make him manifest.
3:13And he goeth up to the mountain, and doth call near whom he willed, and they went away to him;
3:14and he appointed twelve, that they may be with him, and that he may send them forth to preach,
3:15and to have power to heal the sicknesses, and to cast out the demons.
3:16And he put on Simon the name Peter;
3:17and James of Zebedee, and John the brother of James, and he put on them names -- Boanerges, that is, `Sons of thunder;'
3:18and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James of Alpheus, and Thaddeus, and Simon the Cananite,
3:19and Judas Iscariot, who did also deliver him up; and they come into a house.
3:20And come together again doth a multitude, so that they are not able even to eat bread;
3:21and his friends having heard, went forth to lay hold on him, for they said that he was beside himself,
3:22and the scribes who `are' from Jerusalem having come down, said -- `He hath Beelzeboul,' and -- `By the ruler of the demons he doth cast out the demons.'
3:23And, having called them near, in similes he said to them, `How is the Adversary able to cast out the Adversary?
3:24and if a kingdom against itself be divided, that kingdom cannot be made to stand;
3:25and if a house against itself be divided, that house cannot be made to stand;
3:26and if the Adversary did rise against himself, and hath been divided, he cannot be made to stand, but hath an end.
3:27`No one is able the vessels of the strong man -- having entered into his house -- to spoil, if first he may not bind the strong man, and then his house he will spoil.
3:28`Verily I say to you, that all the sins shall be forgiven to the sons of men, and evil speakings with which they might speak evil,
3:29but whoever may speak evil in regard to the Holy Spirit hath not forgiveness -- to the age, but is in danger of age-during judgment;'
3:30because they said, `He hath an unclean spirit.'
3:31Then come do his brethren and mother, and standing without, they sent unto him, calling him,
3:32and a multitude was sitting about him, and they said to him, `Lo, thy mother and thy brethren without do seek thee.'
3:33And he answered them, saying, `Who is my mother, or my brethren?'
3:34And having looked round in a circle to those sitting about him, he saith, `Lo, my mother and my brethren!
3:35for whoever may do the will of God, he is my brother, and my sister, and mother.'

3:1And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.
3:2And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.
3:3And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
3:4And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
3:5And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
3:6And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
3:7But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea,
3:8And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.
3:9And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.
3:10For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.
3:11And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
3:12And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.
3:13And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.
3:14And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,
3:15And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:
3:16And Simon he surnamed Peter;
3:17And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:
3:18And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,
3:19And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.
3:20And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
3:21And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.
3:22And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
3:23And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?
3:24And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
3:25And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
3:26And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
3:27No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
3:28Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
3:29But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
3:30Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
3:31There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.
3:32And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.
3:33And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?
3:34And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
3:35For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

3:1And again He entered into the synagogue. And there was a man who had a withering of the hand.
3:2And they watched Him, whether He will heal him on the sabbaths, that they might accuse Him.
3:3And He said to the man who had a withering of the hand, Rise up into the middle.
3:4And He said to them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbaths, or to do evil? To save a soul, or to kill? But they were silent.
3:5And having looked around on them with anger, being greatly grieved over the hardness of their heart, He said to the man, Stretch out your hand! And he stretched out, and his hand was restored sound as the other.
3:6And going out, the Pharisees at once took counsel with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.
3:7And Jesus withdrew to the sea with His disciples; and a great multitude from Galilee and from Judea followed Him,
3:8also some from Jerusalem, and from Idumea, and beyond the Jordan, also those around Tyre and Sidon. A great multitude came to Him, hearing how much He was doing.
3:9And He spoke to His disciples that a small boat should stay near to Him because of the crowd, that they might not press upon Him.
3:10For He healed many, so that they fell on Him, that they might touch Him, as many as had plagues.
3:11And when the unclean spirits saw Him, they fell down before Him, and cried out, saying, You are the Son of God!
3:12And he warned them very much that they should not reveal Him.
3:13And He went up into the mountain, and He called near whom He desired. And they went to Him.
3:14And He made disciples of twelve, that they might be with Him; and that He might send them to proclaim,
3:15and to have authority to heal diseases, and to cast out the demons.
3:16And He put on Simon the name Peter.
3:17And on James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James, He put on them the names Boanerges, which is, Sons of Thunder.
3:18Also He appointed Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alpheus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,
3:19and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him. And He came into a house.
3:20And again a crowd came together, so as they were not able even to eat bread.
3:21And hearing, those with Him went out to take hold of Him; for they said, He is out of wits.
3:22And coming down from Jerusalem, the scribes said, He has Beelzebub; and he casts out demons by the ruler of the demons.
3:23And calling them near, He spoke to them in parables, saying , How can Satan cast out Satan?
3:24And if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
3:25And if a house is divided against itself, that house is not able to stand.
3:26And if Satan rises upon himself, and has been divided, he is not able to stand, but he has an end.
3:27No one is able in any way to plunder the goods of the strong one, entering into his house, unless he first tie up the strong one; and then he will plunder his house.
3:28Truly I say to you, All the sins will be forgiven to the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they have blasphemed;
3:29but whoever commits blasphemy against the Holy Spirit has no forgiveness to eternity, but is liable to eternal judgment
3:30(because they said, He has an unclean spirit).
3:31Then His mother and brothers came. And standing outside, they sent to Him, calling Him.
3:32And a crowd sat around Him. And they said to Him, Behold, Your mother and Your brothers seek You outside.
3:33And He answered them, saying, Who is My mother or My brothers?
3:34And having looked around on those sitting around Him in a circle, He said, Behold, My mother and My brothers!
3:35For whoever does the will of God, this one is My brother, and My sister, and My mother.
