7:1	Then came together vnto him the Pharises, and certain of the Scribes, which came from Hierusalem.
7:2	And when they saw some of his disciples eate bread with defiled (that is to say, with vnwashen) hands, they found fault.
7:3	For the Pharises and all the Iewes, except they wash their hands oft, eate not, holding the tradition of the elders.
7:4	And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eate not. And many other things there be, which they haue receiued to hold, as the washing of cups and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.
7:5	Then the Pharises and Scribes asked him, Why walke not thy disciples according to the tradition of the Elders, but eate bread with vnwashen hands?
7:6	He answered and said vnto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you Hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth mee with their lips, but their heart is farre from me.
7:7	Howbeit in vaine doe they worship me, teaching for doctrines, the commandements of men.
7:8	For laying aside the Commandement of God, yee hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots, and cups: and many other such like things ye doe.
7:9	And he said vnto them, Full well ye reiect the Commandement of God, that ye may keepe your owne tradition.
7:10	For Moses said, Honour thy father & thy mother: and who so curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
7:11	But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoeuer thou mightest be profited by me: he shalbe free.
7:12	And ye suffer him no more to doe ought for his father, or his mother:
7:13	Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye haue deliuered: And many such like things doe ye.
7:14	And when he had called all the people vnto him, hee said vnto them, Hearken vnto me euery one of you, and vnderstand.
7:15	There is nothing from without a man that entring into him, can defile him: but the things which come out of of him, those are they that defile the man.
7:16	If any man haue eares to heare, let him heare.
7:17	And when hee was entred into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
7:18	And he saith vnto them, Are ye so without vnderstanding also? Doe yee not perceiue that whatsoeuer thing from without entreth into the man, it cannot defile him,
7:19	Because it entreth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
7:20	And he said, That which commeth out of the man, that defileth the man.
7:21	For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed euill thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
7:22	Thefts, couetousnesse, wickednesse, deceit, lasciuiousnesse, an euill eye, blasphemie, pride, foolishnesse:
7:23	All these euill things come from within, and defile the man.
7:24	And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entred into an house, and would haue no man know it, but hee could not be hid.
7:25	For a certaine woman, whose yong daughter had an vncleane spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feete.
7:26	(The woman was a Greek: a Syrophenician by nation:) and she besought him that he would cast forth the deuill out of her daughter.
7:27	But Iesus said vnto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the childrens bread, and to cast it vnto the dogges.
7:28	And she answered and said vnto him, Yes Lord, yet the dogges vnder the table eat of the childrens crummes.
7:29	And hee said vnto her, For this saying, goe thy way, the deuill is gone out of thy daughter.
7:30	And when shee was come to her house, she found the deuill gone out, and her daughter laied vpon the bed.
7:31	And againe departing from the coastes of Tyre and Sidon, he came vnto the sea of Galilee, thorow the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
7:32	And they bring vnto him one that was deafe, and had an impediment in his speech: and they beseech him to put his hand vpon him.
7:33	And he tooke him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his eares, and he spit, and touched his tongue,
7:34	And looking vp to heauen, hee sighed, and saith vnto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
7:35	And straightway his eares were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plaine.
7:36	And hee charged them that they should tell no man: but the more hee charged them, so much the more a great deale they published it,
7:37	And were beyond measure astonished, saying, Hee hath done all things well: hee maketh both the deafe to heare, and the dumbe to speake.

7:2	And whe they sawe some of his disciples eate bread with common [that is to say, with vnwasshen] hands, they founde fault.
7:3	For the pharisees and all the Iewes, except they wasshe their handes oft, eate not, obseruing the traditions of ye elders.
7:4	And [when they come] from the market, except they wasshe, they eate not. And many other things there be, which they haue taken vpon them to obserue [as] the wasshyng of cuppes and pottes, and brasen vessels, and of tables.
7:5	Then asked hym the pharisees and scribes: Why walke not thy disciples accordyng to the traditio of the elders, but eate bread with vnwasshen handes?
7:6	He aunswered, and sayde vnto them, that Esaias hath prophesied well of you hypocrites, as it is written: This people honoreth me with their lippes, but their heart is farre from me.
7:7	Howebeit, in vayne do they worship me, teachyng doctrines, the commaundementes of men.
7:8	For ye laye the commaundement of God apart, and obserue the tradition of me: as the wasshing of pottes & cuppes. And many other such like thinges ye do.
7:9	And he sayde vnto them: Well, ye cast asyde the commaundement of God, to mayntayne your owne tradition.
7:10	For Moyses sayde, Honor thy father and thy mother: and, who so curseth father or mother, let him dye the death.
7:11	But ye say, yf a man shall say to father or mother Corban (that is, by the gyft) that [is offred] of me, thou shalt be helped.
7:12	And so ye suffer hym no more to do ought for his father or his mother.
7:13	And make the worde of God of none effect, through your tradition, which ye haue ordeyned. And many such thinges do ye.
7:14	And when he had called all the people vnto hym, he saide vnto them: Hearken vnto me, euery one of you, and vnderstande.
7:15	There is nothyng without a man, that can defyle hym, when it entreth into hym: But the thynges whiche proceade out of a man, those are they that defyle the man.
7:16	If any man haue eares to heare, let hym heare.
7:17	And when he came into the house, away from the people, his disciples asked hym of the similitude.
7:18	And he sayde vnto them: Are ye also so without vnderstandyng? Do ye not yet perceaue, that whatsoeuer thing fro without, entreth into a man, it can not defyle hym,
7:19	Because it entreth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purgyng all meates?
7:20	And he sayde: That which commeth out of a man, defyleth the man.
7:21	For from within, euen out of the heart of men, proceade euyll thoughtes, adulterie, fornication, murther,
7:22	Theft, couetousnes, wickednes, deceit, wantonnes, a wicked eye, blasphemies, pride, foolyshnes.
7:23	All these euyll thynges come fro within, and defyle a man.
7:24	And from thence he rose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, & entred into an house, and woulde that no man shoulde haue knowen: but he coulde not be hyd.
7:25	For a certayne woman, whose young daughter hadde an vncleane spirite, assoone as she hearde of hym, came, & fell at his feete.
7:26	The woman was a Greke, out of the nation of Syrophenissa: & she besought hym, that he woulde cast out the deuyll from her daughter.
7:27	But Iesus saide vnto her, let the children first be fedde: For it is not meete to take the chyldrens bread, and to caste it vnto litle dogges.
7:28	She aunswered, and saide vnto hym, euen so Lorde: neuerthelesse, the litle dogges also eate vnder the table, of the chyldrens crumbes.
7:29	And he sayde vnto her: For this saying, go thy way, the deuyll is gone out of thy daughter.
7:30	And when she was come home to her house, she founde that the deuyll was departed, and her daughter lying on the bedde.
7:31	And he departed agayne from the coastes of Tyre and Sidon, & came vnto the sea of Galilee, through the middes of the coastes of the ten cities.
7:32	And they brought vnto hym one that was deafe, and had an impediment in his speache: and they prayed him to put his hande vpon hym.
7:33	And when he had taken hym asyde from the people, he put his fyngers into his cares, and dyd spyt, and touched his tongue,
7:34	And loked vp to heauen, and syghed, and sayde vnto him Ephphatha, that is to say, be opened.
7:35	And straightway his eares were opened, and the stryng of his tongue was loosed, and he spake playne.
7:36	And he commaunded them, that they shoulde tell no man: But the more he forbad them, so much the more a great deale they published it.
7:37	And were beyonde measure astonyed, saying: He hath done all thynges well, he hath made both the deafe to heare, and the dumbe to speake.

7:30	And when shee was come home to her house, shee founde the deuill departed, and her daughter lying on the bed.
7:31	And hee departed againe from the coastes of Tyrus and Sidon, and came vnto the sea of Galile, through the middes of the coastes of Decapolis.
7:32	And they brought vnto him one that was deafe and stambered in his speache, and prayed him to put his hand vpon him.
7:33	Then hee tooke him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers in his eares, and did spit, and touched his tongue.
7:34	And looking vp to heauen, hee sighed, and said vnto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
