>
7:1And the Phariseis came together vnto hym, and diuers of the Scribes, which came from Hierusalem.
7:2And when they sawe certayne of hys disciples eate breade with commen handes (that is to say wt vnwashen handes) they complayned.
7:3For the Phariseis and all the Iewes, except thei wash their handes ofte, eate not obseruinge the tradicions of the elders.
7:4And when they come from the market, except they wash they eate not. And many other thinges therbe whyche they haue taken vpon them to obserue, as the wasshyng of the cuppes and cruses, and of brasen vessels, and of tables.
7:5Then axed hym the Phariseis and Scribes, why walke not thy disciples accordynge to the tradicions of the elders, but eate breade with vnwashen handes?
7:6He aunswered and sayde vnto them: well prophecied Esayas of you hypocrites, as it is wryten: This people honoureth me with theyr lippes, but their hert is farre from me:
7:7In vayne they worship me, teachynge doctrines whyche are nothyng but the commaundementes of men.
7:8For ye laye the commaundement of God apart, and obserue the tradicions of men, as the washyng of cruses and of cuppes, and many other suche lyke thinges ye do.
7:9And he sayde vnto them: wel, ye caste aside the commaundement of God too maintayne your owne tradicions.
7:10For Moyses sayd: Honour thy father and thy mother: and whosoeuer curseth father or mother, let him dye for it.
7:11But ye saye a man shall saye to father or mother Corban: whiche is, that thou desirest me to helpe the with, is geuen God.
7:12And so ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother,
7:13makynge the worde of God of none effect, thorowe youre owne tradicions, which you haue ordeyned. And many suche thinges ye do.
7:14And he called all the people vnto hym, and sayde to them. Herken to me, euery one of you and vnderstande.
7:15There is nothinge without a man that can defile him when it entereth into him: but those thinges which procede out of hym are those, which defile the man.
7:16If any man haue eares to heare, let hym heare.
7:17And when he came into an house from the people his disciples axed him of the similitude
7:18And he sayde to them: Are ye so without vnderstanding. Do ye not yet perceyue that, whatsoeuer thinge from without entreth into a man it can not defile him,
7:19because it entreth not into his herte, but into his bealy: and goeth out into the draught that pourgeth out all meates.
7:20And he sayde that defileth a man, whiche cometh out of a man.
7:21For from within, euen out of the herte of men, procede euel thoughtes: aduoutry, fornication, murther,
7:22theft, coueteousnes, wickednes, deceyte: vncleanenesse and a wicked eye, blasphemy, pryde, folishenes:
7:23all these euell thinges come from within and defile a man.
7:24And from thense he rose and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would that no man should haue knowen: but he could not be hyd.
7:25For a certayn woman, whose doughter had a foule spirite hearde of him, and came & fell at hys fete.
7:26The woman was a Greke out of Syrophenicia, and she besought him that he woulde caste out the deuel out of her doughter.
7:27And Iesus sayde vnto her: let the chyldren firste be fedde. For it is not mete, to take the chyldrens bread and to cast it vnto whelpes.
7:28She aunswered & sayde vnto him: euen so master, neuerthelesse the whelpes also eate vnder the table of the chyldrens cromes.
7:29And he sayde vnto her: for this saying go thy waye, the deuell is gone out of thy doughter.
7:30And when she was come home to her house, she founde the deuell departed, & her doughter lying on the bed.
7:31And departed agayne from the coostes yf Tire and Sidon, and came to the sea of Galile, thorow the middest of the coostes of the .x. cyties.
7:32And they brought vnto him one that was deafe, and stambred in his speache, and praied him to lay his hand vpon him.
7:33And he toke him a side from the people, and put his finger in his eares, and did spitte and touched hys tonge,
7:34and loked vp to heauen, and sighted & sayde vnto him: Ephata, that is to say be opened.
7:35And straight way his eares were opened and the stringe of hys tougue was losed, and he spake playne.
7:36And he commaunded them that they shoulde tell no man. But the more he forbad them, so muche the more a greate deale they published it:
7:37and were beyonde measure astonyed, sayinge: He hath done all thinges well, and hath made both the deafe to heare & the domme to speake.

7:1Then gathered vnto him the Pharises, and certaine of the Scribes which came from Hierusalem.
7:2And when they sawe some of his disciples eate meate with common hands, (that is to say, vnwashen) they complained.
7:3(For the Pharises, and all the Iewes, except they wash their hands oft, eate not, holding the tradition of the Elders.
7:4And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eate not: and many other things there be, which they haue taken vpon them to obserue, as the washing of cups, and pots, and of brasen vessels, and of beds.)
7:5Then asked him the Pharises and Scribes, Why walke not thy disciples according to the tradition of the Elders, but eate meate with vnwashen hands?
7:6Then hee answered and sayd vnto them, Surely Esay hath prophecied well of you, hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth mee with lippes, but their heart is farre away from me.
7:7But they worship me in vaine, teaching for doctrines the commandements of men.
7:8For ye lay the commandement of God apart, and obserue the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and of cups, and many other such like things ye doe.
7:9And he sayd vnto them, Well, ye reiect the commandement of God, that ye may obserue your owne tradition.
7:10For Moses sayd, Honour thy father and thy mother: and Whosoeuer shall speake euill of father or mother, let him die the death.
7:11But yee say, If a man say to father or mother, Corban, that is, By the gift that is offered by mee, thou mayest haue profite, hee shall be free.
7:12So ye suffer him no more to doe any thing for his father, or his mother,
7:13Making the worde of God of none authoritie, by your tradition which ye haue ordeined: and ye doe many such like things.
7:14Then he called the whole multitude vnto him, and sayd vnto them, Hearken you all vnto me, and vnderstand.
7:15There is nothing without a man, that can defile him, when it entreth into him: but the things which proceede out of him, are they which defile the man.
7:16If any haue eares to heare, let him heare.
7:17And when hee came into an house, away from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
7:18And he sayde vnto them, What? are ye without vnderstanding also? Doe ye not knowe that whatsoeuer thing from without entreth into a man, cannot defile him,
7:19Because it entreth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught which is the purging of all meates?
7:20Then he sayd, That which commeth out of man, that defileth man.
7:21For from within, euen out of the heart of men, proceede euill thoughtes, adulteries, fornications, murthers,
7:22Theftes, couetousnes, wickednes, deceite, vncleannes, a wicked eye, backbiting, pride, foolishnesse.
7:23All these euill things come from within, and defile a man.
7:24And from thence he rose, and went into the borders of Tyrus and Sidon, and entred into an house, and woulde that no man should haue knowen: but he could not be hid.
7:25For a certaine woman, whose litle daughter had an vncleane spirit, heard of him, and came, and fell at his feete,
7:26(And the woman was a Greeke, a Syrophenissian by nation) and she besought him that he would cast out the deuill out of her daughter.
7:27But Iesus saide vnto her, Let the children first be fedde: for it is not good to take the childrens bread, and to cast it vnto whelpes.
7:28Then shee answered, and saide vnto him, Trueth, Lord: yet in deede the whelpes eate vnder the table of the childrens crommes.
7:29Then he said vnto her, For this saying goe thy way: the deuil is gone out of thy daughter.
7:30And when shee was come home to her house, shee founde the deuill departed, and her daughter lying on the bed.
7:31And hee departed againe from the coastes of Tyrus and Sidon, and came vnto the sea of Galile, through the middes of the coastes of Decapolis.
7:32And they brought vnto him one that was deafe and stambered in his speache, and prayed him to put his hand vpon him.
7:33Then hee tooke him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers in his eares, and did spit, and touched his tongue.
7:34And looking vp to heauen, hee sighed, and said vnto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
7:35And straightway his eares were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and hee spake plaine.
7:36And he commanded them, that they should tell no man: but howe much soeuer hee forbad them, the more a great deale they published it,
7:37And were beyonde measure astonied, saying, Hee hath done all thinges well: he maketh both the deafe to heare, and the domme to speake.

7:1Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.
7:2And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.
7:3For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.
7:4And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.
7:5Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?
7:6He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
7:7Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
7:8For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
7:9And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
7:10For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
7:11But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
7:12And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
7:13Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
7:14And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand:
7:15There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
7:16If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
7:17And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
7:18And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
7:19Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
7:20And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
7:21For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
7:22Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
7:23All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
7:24And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.
7:25For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:
7:26The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
7:27But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
7:28And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
7:29And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
7:30And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.
7:31And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
7:32And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.
7:33And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;
7:34And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
7:35And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.
7:36And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;
7:37And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
