Mark - Chapter: 11

>
11:1And when they come nigh to Jerusalem, to Bethphage, and Bethany, unto the mount of the Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
11:2and saith to them, `Go away to the village that is over-against you, and immediately, entering into it, ye shall find a colt tied, on which no one of men hath sat, having loosed it, bring `it':
11:3and if any one may say to you, Why do ye this? say ye that the lord hath need of it, and immediately he will send it hither.'
11:4And they went away, and found the colt tied at the door without, by the two ways, and they loose it,
11:5and certain of those standing there said to them, `What do ye -- loosing the colt?'
11:6and they said to them as Jesus commanded, and they suffered them.
11:7And they brought the colt unto Jesus, and did cast upon it their garments, and he sat upon it,
11:8and many did spread their garments in the way, and others were cutting down branches from the trees, and were strewing in the way.
11:9And those going before and those following were crying out, saying, `Hosanna! blessed `is' he who is coming in the name of the Lord;
11:10blessed is the coming reign, in the name of the Lord, of our father David; Hosanna in the highest.'
11:11And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple, and having looked round on all things, it being now evening, he went forth to Bethany with the twelve.
11:12And on the morrow, they having come forth from Bethany, he hungered,
11:13and having seen a fig-tree afar off having leaves, he came, if perhaps he shall find anything in it, and having come to it, he found nothing except leaves, for it was not a time of figs,
11:14and Jesus answering said to it, `No more from thee -- to the age -- may any eat fruit;' and his disciples were hearing.
11:15And they come to Jerusalem, and Jesus having gone into the temple, began to cast forth those selling and buying in the temple, and the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those selling the doves, he overthrew,
11:16and he did not suffer that any might bear a vessel through the temple,
11:17and he was teaching, saying to them, `Hath it not been written -- My house a house of prayer shall be called for all the nations, and ye did make it a den of robbers?'
11:18And the scribes and the chief priests heard, and they were seeking how they shall destroy him, for they were afraid of him, because all the multitude was astonished at his teaching;
11:19and when evening came, he was going forth without the city.
11:20And in the morning, passing by, they saw the fig-tree having been dried up from the roots,
11:21and Peter having remembered saith to him, `Rabbi, lo, the fig-tree that thou didst curse is dried up.'
11:22And Jesus answering saith to them, `Have faith of God;
11:23for verily I say to you, that whoever may say to this mount, Be taken up, and be cast into the sea, and may not doubt in his heart, but may believe that the things that he saith do come to pass, it shall be to him whatever he may say.
11:24Because of this I say to you, all whatever -- praying -- ye do ask, believe that ye receive, and it shall be to you.
11:25`And whenever ye may stand praying, forgive, if ye have anything against any one, that your Father also who is in the heavens may forgive you your trespasses;
11:26and, if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in the heavens forgive your trespasses.'
11:27And they come again to Jerusalem, and in the temple, as he is walking, there come unto him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
11:28and they say to him, `By what authority dost thou these things? and who gave thee this authority that these things thou mayest do?'
11:29And Jesus answering said to them, `I will question you -- I also -- one word; and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things;
11:30the baptism of John -- from heaven was it? or from men? answer me.'
11:31And they were reasoning with themselves, saying, `If we may say, From heaven, he will say, Wherefore, then, did ye not believe him?
11:32But if we may say, From men,' -- they were fearing the people, for all were holding John that he was indeed a prophet;
11:33and answering they say to Jesus, `We have not known;' and Jesus answering saith to them, `Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.'

11:1And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
11:2And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.
11:3And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
11:4And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
11:5And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
11:6And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.
11:7And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
11:8And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way.
11:9And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
11:10Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
11:11And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
11:12And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
11:13And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
11:14And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
11:15And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
11:16And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
11:17And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
11:18And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
11:19And when even was come, he went out of the city.
11:20And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
11:21And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
11:22And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
11:23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
11:24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
11:25And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
11:26But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
11:27And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
11:28And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
11:29And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
11:30The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
11:31And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
11:32But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.
11:33And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

11:1And when they drew near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, toward the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples,
11:2and said to them, Go into the village opposite you. And going into it, at once you will find a colt tied, on which no one of men has sat. Untying it, bring it .
11:3And if anyone says to you, Why do you do this? say, The Lord has need of it. And he will at once send it here.
11:4And they departed and found the colt tied at the door outside, by the crossway; and they untied it.
11:5And some of those standing there said to them, What are you doing, untying the colt?
11:6And they said to them as Jesus commanded, and they let them go.
11:7And they led the colt to Jesus. And they threw their garments on it, and He sat on it.
11:8And many spread their garments on the highway, and others were cutting branches from the trees and were spreading them on the highway.
11:9And those going before, and those following after, were crying out, saying, Hosanna! "Blessed is the One coming in the name of the Lord!" Psa. 118:25, 26
11:10Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!
11:11And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple. And having looked around at all things, the hour already being late, He went out to Bethany with the Twelve.
11:12And on the morrow, they going out from Bethany, He hungered.
11:13And seeing afar off a fig tree having leaves, He went toward it , if perhaps He would find anything on it. And coming on it, He found nothing except leaves, for it was not the season of figs.
11:14And answering, Jesus said to it, Let no one eat fruit of you any more forever. And His disciples heard.
11:15And they came to Jerusalem. And entering into the temple, Jesus began to throw out those selling and buying in the temple; also He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those selling the doves.
11:16And He did not allow any to carry a vessel through the temple.
11:17And He taught, saying to them, Has it not been written, "My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations." "But you have made it a den of robbers."? Isa. 56:7; Jer. 7:11
11:18And the scribes and the chief priests heard. And they sought how they might destroy Him, for they feared Him, because all the crowd was astonished at His doctrine.
11:19And when evening came, He went outside the city.
11:20And passing along early, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots.
11:21And remembering, Peter said to Him, Rabbi, behold, the fig tree which You cursed has withered.
11:22And answering, Jesus said to them, Have faith of God.
11:23For truly I say to you, Whoever says to this mountain, Be taken up and be thrown into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be to him, whatever he says.
11:24Therefore I say to you, All things, whatever you ask, praying, believe that you will receive, and it will be to you.
11:25And when you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive it , so that your Father in Heaven may also forgive your sins.
11:26But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in Heaven forgive your sins.
11:27And they came again to Jerusalem. And as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes and the elders came to Him.
11:28And they said to Him, By what authority do you do these things? And who gave you this authority that you do these things?
11:29And answering, Jesus said to them, I will also ask you one thing, and answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things:
11:30The baptism of John, was it from Heaven, or from men? Answer Me.
11:31And they argued to themselves, saying, If we say, From Heaven, he will say, Why then did you not believe him?
11:32But if we say, From men, they feared the people. For all held that John really was a prophet.
11:33And answering, they said to Jesus, We do not know. And answering, Jesus said to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
