16:4And thei bihelden, and seien the stoon walewid awei, for it was ful greet.
16:5And thei yeden in to the sepulcre, and sayn a yonglyng, hilide with a white stole, sittynge `at the riythalf; and thei weren afeerd.
16:6Which seith to hem, Nyle ye drede; ye seken Jhesu of Nazareth crucified; he is risun, he is not here; lo! the place where thei leiden hym.
16:7But go ye, and seie ye to hise disciplis, and to Petir, that he schal go bifor you in to Galilee; there ye schulen se hym, as he seide to you.
16:8And thei yeden out, and fledden fro the sepulcre; for drede and quakyng had assailed hem, and to no man thei seiden ony thing, for thei dredden.
16:9And Jhesus roos eerli the firste dai of the woke, and apperid firste to Marie Maudeleyne, fro whom he had caste out seuene deuelis.
16:10And sche yede, and tolde to hem that hadden ben with hym, whiche weren weilynge and wepynge.
16:11And thei herynge that he lyuyde, and was seyn of hir, bileueden not.
16:12But after these thingis whanne tweyne of hem wandriden, he was schewid in anothir liknesse to hem goynge in to a toun.
16:13And thei yeden, and telden to the othir, and nether thei bileueden to hem.
16:14But `at the laste, whanne the enleuene disciplis saten at the mete, Jhesus apperide to hem, and repreuede the vnbileue of hem, and the hardnesse of herte, for thei bileueden not to hem, that hadden seyn that he was risun fro deeth.
16:15And he seide to hem, Go ye in to al the world, and preche the gospel to eche creature.
16:16Who that bileueth, and is baptisid, schal be saaf; but he that bileueth not, schal be dampned.
16:17And these tokenes schulen sue hem, that bileuen. In my name thei schulen caste out feendis; thei schulen speke with newe tungis;
16:18thei schulen do awei serpentis; and if thei drynke ony venym, it schal not noye hem. Thei schulen sette her hondis on sijk men, and thei schulen wexe hoole.
16:19And the Lord Jhesu, aftir he hadde spokun to hem, was takun vp in to heuene, and he sittith on the riythalf of God.
16:20And thei yeden forth, and prechiden euery where, for the Lord wrouyte with hem, and confermyde the word with signes folewynge.

16:1And when the Sabbath day was past, Marie Magdalene, and Marie the mother of Iames, and Salome, bought sweete oyntments, that they might come, and anoynt him.
16:2Therefore early in the morning, the first day of the weeke, they came vnto the sepulchre, when the Sunne was nowe risen.
16:3And they saide one to another, Who shall rolle vs away the stone from the doore of the sepulchre?
16:4And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away (for it was a very great one)
16:5So they went into the sepulchre, and saw a yong man sitting at the right side, clothed in a long white robe: and they were sore troubled.
16:6But he said vnto them, Be not so troubled: ye seeke Iesus of Nazareth, which hath bene crucified: he is risen, he is not here: behold the place where they put him.
16:7But goe your way, and tell his disciples, and Peter, that he will goe before you into Galile: there shall ye see him, as he said vnto you.
16:8And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre: for they trembled, and were amased: neither said they any thing to any man: for they were afraide.
16:9And when Iesus was risen againe, early the first day of the weeke, he appeared first to Marie Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seuen deuils:
16:10And shee went and tolde them that had bene with him, which mourned and wept.
16:11And when they heard that he was aliue, and had appeared to her, they beleeued it not.
16:12After that, he appeared vnto two of them in an other forme, as they walked and went into the countrey.
16:13And they went, and told it to the remnant, neither beleeued they them.
16:14Finally, he appeared vnto the eleuen as they sate together, and reproched them for their vnbeliefe and hardnesse of heart, because they beleeued not them which had seene him, being risen vp againe.
16:15And he saide vnto them, Goe ye into all the worlde, and preach the Gospel to euery creature.
16:16He that shall beleeue and be baptized, shalbe saued: but he that will not beleeue, shalbe damned.
16:17And these tokens shall folowe them that beleeue, In my Name they shall cast out deuils, and shall speake with newe tongues,
16:18And shall take away serpents, and if they shall drinke any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them: they shall lay their handes on the sicke, and they shall recouer.
16:19So after ye Lord had spoken vnto them, he was receiued into heauen, and sate at the right hand of God.
16:20And they went foorth, and preached euery where. And the Lord wrought with them, and confirmed the worde with signes that folowed. Amen.

16:1Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint Him.
16:2And very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb at the rising of the sun.
16:3And they said among themselves, "Who shall roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?"
16:4But when they looked, they saw that the stone had been rolled away, because, it was very large.
16:5And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were afraid.
16:6But he said to them, "Do not be afraid. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. Behold the place where they laid Him.
16:7But go your way, tell His disciples, and Peter, that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you."
16:8So they went out quickly and fled from the tomb, because they trembled and were astonished. And they said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid.
16:9Now when Jesus was risen early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons.
16:10And she went and told those who had been with Him, as they mourned and wept.
16:11And when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe.
16:12After that, He appeared in another form to two of them as they walked and went into the country.
16:13And they went and told it to the rest, but they did not believe them either.
16:14Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.
16:15And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."
16:16He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be damned."
16:17And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;"
16:18they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
16:19So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
16:20And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the signs following them. Amen.
