Luke - Chapter: 17

>
17:1Then sayde he to the disciples, it cannot be auoyded but that offences will come. Neuerthelesse wo be to hym: through whome they come.
17:2It were better for him that a mylstone were hanged about his necke. and that he were cast into the sea, then that he shoulde offende one of these litelons.
17:3Take hede to youre selues. Yf thy brother trespasse agaynst the, rebuke hym,
17:4and yf he repent, forgeue hym. And thoughe he synne agaynst the seuen tymes in a day, & seuen tymes in a day tourne agayne to the saiyng: it repenteth me, forgeue hym.
17:5And the Apostles sayed vnto the Lorde: encrease oure fayth.
17:6And the Lorde sayde: yf ye had fayth lyke a grayne of mustarde seede, and shoulde say vnto thys sycamine tree, plucke thy selfe vp by the rootes, and plante thy selfe in the sea: he should obeye you.
17:7Who is it of you, yf he had a seruaunt plowyng or fedynge catell, that woulde say vnto hym when he were come from the fielde. Go quickly, and sit doune to meate,
17:8and woulde not rather say to him: dresse, wherwith I may suppe, and gyrde vp thy selfe, and serue me, til I haue eaten and droncken, & afterwarde eate thou, and drinke thou:
17:9Doth he thanke that seruaunte, because he dyd that whiche was commaunded to hym? I trowe not.
17:10So lykewyse ye, when ye haue done al those thinges: which are commaunded you, saye: we are vnprofytable seruauntes. We haue done that whiche was oure duetye to do.
17:11And it chaunsed as he wente to Ierusalem that he passed through Samaria and Galile.
17:12And as he entred into a certayne toune: there met hym .x. that were lepers. Whiche stode a farre
17:13& put forth theyr voyces and sayde: Iesu maister, haue mercy on vs.
17:14When he saw them he saide vnto them: Go and shew your selues to the priestes. And it chaunsed as they went, they were clensed.
17:15And one of them when he sawe that he was clensed, turned backe agayn and with a loude voyce praysed God
17:16and fel doune on his face at hys fete, & gaue him thankes. And the same was a Samaritane.
17:17And Iesus aunswered and sayed: are there not ten clensed? But where are those nyne?
17:18There are not founde that returned agayne to geue GOD prayse, saue only thys straunger.
17:19And he said vnto him: aryse, and go thy waye, thy faythe hath made the whole.
17:20When he was demaunded of the Pharises when the kyngdom of God shoulde come: he aunswered them, and sayd: The kingdome of God cometh not with waytyng for.
17:21Neyther shal men saye: Lo here, lo there. For beholde the kyngdom of God is within you.
17:22And he sayed to hys disciples: The dayes wyll come, when ye shall desyre to se one daye of the sonne of man, & ye shall not se it.
17:23And they shall saye to you. Se here. Se there. Go not after them, nor folowe them,
17:24for as the lyghtenynge that appeareth out of the one part of the heauen, and shyneth vnto the other parte of heauen: So shall the sonne of man be in his daye.
17:25But fyrste muste he suffer manye thynges, and be refused of thys nacyon.
17:26As it happened in the tyme of Noe: So shal it be in the tyme of the sonne of man.
17:27They ate, they dranke, they maryed wyues, and were maryed euen vnto the same daye that Noe wente into the arke, and the floude came & destroyed them all.
17:28Lykewyse also, as it chaunsed in the dayes of Lot. They ate, they dranke they bought, they solde, they planted, they buylte.
17:29And euen the same daye that Lot went out of Zodome, it rayned fyre and brymstone from heauen, and destroyed them.
17:30After these ensamples, shal it be in the daye when the sonne of man shall appeare.
17:31At that daye he that is on the house toppe, and hys stuffe in the house: let him not come doune to take it out. And lykewyse let not him that is in the fielde turne backe agayne to that he lefte behynde.
17:32Remembre Lottes wyfe
17:33Whosoeuer wyll go about to saue his lyfe, shal lose it. And whosoeuer shal lose hys lyfe, shall saue it.
17:34I tel you: In that nyght there shalbe two in one bed, the one shalbe receyued, & the other shal be forsaken.
17:35Two shalbe also a grinding together, the one shalbe receyued, and the other shalbe forsaken.
17:36n/a
17:37And they aunswered, & sayde to hym: where Lorde? And he sayed vnto them: wheresoeuer the body shalbe, thyther wyl the egles resorte.

17:1He sayde vnto the disciples, it can not be but offences wyll come, neuerthelesse, wo vnto hym, through whom they come.
17:2It were better for hym, that a mylstone were hanged about his necke, & he cast into the sea, then that he shoulde offende one of these litle ones.
17:3Take heede to your selues: If thy brother trespasse agaynst thee, rebuke hym: and yf he repent, forgeue hym.
17:4And though he sinne agaynst thee seuen tymes in a day, and seuen tymes in a day turne agayne to thee, saying, it repenteth me: thou shalt forgeue hym.
17:5And the Apostles sayde vnto the Lorde: increase our fayth.
17:6And the Lorde sayde: If ye had fayth [as much] as a grayne of mustarde seede, & should say vnto this Sycamine tree, plucke vp thy selfe by the rootes, and plant thy selfe in the sea, it shoulde obey you.
17:7But which of you, hauyng a seruaunt plowyng, or feedyng cattell, woulde say vnto hym by & by when he were come from the fielde, go and syt downe at the table:
17:8And woulde not rather say vnto hym, dresse, wherwith I may suppe, & gyrde vp thy selfe, and serue me, tyll I haue eaten and dronken, and afterward eate thou, and drynke thou?
17:9Doth he thanke that seruaunt, because he dyd the thynges that were commaunded vnto hym? I trowe not.
17:10So lykewyse ye, when ye haue done all those thynges which are commaunded you, say, We are vnprofitable seruauntes, We haue done that which was our duetie to do.
17:11And so it was, as he went to Hierusalem, that he passed through the myddest of Samaria and Galilee.
17:12And as he entred into a certayne towne, there met hym ten men that were lepers, which stoode a farre of,
17:13And put foorth their voyces, & sayde: Iesu maister, haue mercie on vs.
17:14When he sawe them, he sayde vnto them: Go shewe your selues vnto the priestes. And it came to passe, that as they went, they were clensed.
17:15And one of them, when he sawe that he was healed, turned backe [agayne] and with a loude voyce praysed God:
17:16And fell downe on his face at his feete, and gaue hym thankes: And the same was a Samaritane.
17:17And Iesus aunswered, and sayde: Are there not ten clensed? But where are those nine?
17:18There are not founde that returned agayne, to geue God prayse, saue [only] this straunger.
17:19And he sayde vnto hym: aryse, go thy way, thy fayth hath made thee whole.
17:20When he was demaunded of the pharisees, when the kyngdome of God shoulde come: he aunswered them, and sayde, The kyngdome of God shall not come with obseruation.
17:21Neither shall they say, lo here, or lo there: For beholde, the kyngdome of God is within you.
17:22And he sayde vnto the disciples: the dayes wyll come, when ye shall desyre to see one day of the sonne of man, and ye shall not see it.
17:23And they shall say to you, See here, see there: Go not after them, nor folowe them.
17:24For as the lyghtnyng, that lyghtneth out of the one part that is vnder heauen, and shyneth vnto the other part which is vnder heauen: so shall the sonne of man be in his daye.
17:25But first must he suffer many thynges, and be refused of this nation.
17:26And as it was in the dayes of Noe: so shall it be also in the dayes of the sonne of man.
17:27They dyd eate, and drynke, they maryed wiues, and were maryed, euen vnto the same day that Noe went into the Arke: and the fludde came, & destroyed them all.
17:28Lykewyse also as it was in the dayes of Lot: they dyd eate, they dranke, they bought, they solde, they planted, they buylded:
17:29But euen the same day that Lot went out of Sodome, it rayned fire and brimstone from heauen, and destroyed them all.
17:30Euen thus shall it be, in the day when the sonne of man shalbe reuealed.
17:31At that day, he which is on the house [top,] and his stuffe in the house, let him not come downe to take it out: And let not him that is in the fielde, turne backe agayne lykewyse, to the thynges that he left behynde.
17:32Remember lottes wyfe.
17:33Whosoeuer wyll go about to saue his lyfe, shall loose it: and whosoeuer shall loose his lyfe, shall quicken it.
17:34I tell you, in that nyght there shalbe two in one bed, the one shalbe receaued, the other shalbe forsaken.
17:35Two [women] shalbe gryndyng together: the one shalbe receaued, and the other forsaken.
17:36Two [men] shalbe in the fielde: the one shalbe receaued, & the other forsake.
17:37And they aunswered, and sayde vnto hym: Where Lorde? He sayde vnto the: Whersoeuer the body shalbe, thyther wyll also the Egles be gathered together.

17:1Then he said to the disciples, It is impossible but that causes of sin will come: but woe to him by whom they come!
17:2It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to fall into sin.
17:3Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother shall trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he shall repent forgive him.
17:4And if he shall trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day shall turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
17:5And the apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith.
17:6And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye might say to this sycamine-tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it would obey you.
17:7But which of you having a servant plowing, or feeding cattle, will say to him immediately, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to eat?
17:8And will not rather say to him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drank; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
17:9Doth he thank that servant, because he did the things that were commanded him? I suppose not.
17:10So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all the things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which it was our duty to do.
17:11And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
17:12And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, who stood at a distance.
17:13And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
17:14And when he saw them, he said to them, Go, show yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass, that as they were going, they were cleansed.
17:15And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
17:16And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17:17And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
17:18There are not found returning to give glory to God, save this stranger.
17:19And he said to him, Arise, depart: thy faith hath made thee whole.
17:20And when he was asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation.
17:21Neither will they say, Lo here! or lo there! for behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
17:22And he said to his disciples, The days will come, when ye will desire to see one of the days of the son of man, and ye shall not see it.
17:23And they will say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
17:24For as the lightning that lighteneth from the one part under heaven, shineth to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
17:25But first he must suffer many things, and be rejected by this generation.
17:26And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
17:27They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
17:28Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
17:29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all:
17:30Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
17:31In that day, he who shall be upon the house-top, and his furniture in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
17:32Remember Lot's wife.
17:33Whoever shall seek to save his life, shall lose it; and whoever shall lose his life, shall preserve it.
17:34I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed; the one will be taken, and the other will be left.
17:35Two women will be grinding together; the one will be taken, and the other left.
17:36Two men will be in the field; the one will be taken, and the other left.
17:37And they answered and said to him, Where Lord? And he said to them, Wherever the body is, thither will the eagles be collected.
