Luke - Chapter: 17

>
17:1And he said unto the disciples, `It is impossible for the stumbling blocks not to come, but wo `to him' through whom they come;
17:2it is more profitable to him if a weighty millstone is put round about his neck, and he hath been cast into the sea, than that he may cause one of these little ones to stumble.
17:3`Take heed to yourselves, and, if thy brother may sin in regard to thee, rebuke him, and if he may reform, forgive him,
17:4and if seven times in the day he may sin against thee, and seven times in the day may turn back to thee, saying, I reform; thou shalt forgive him.'
17:5And the apostles said to the Lord, `Add to us faith;'
17:6and the Lord said, `If ye had faith as a grain of mustard, ye would have said to this sycamine, Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea, and it would have obeyed you.
17:7`But, who is he of you -- having a servant ploughing or feeding -- who, to him having come in out of the field, will say, Having come near, recline at meat?
17:8but will not `rather' say to him, Prepare what I may sup, and having girded thyself about, minister to me, till I eat and drink, and after these things thou shalt eat and drink?
17:9Hath he favour to that servant because he did the things directed? I think not.
17:10`So also ye, when ye may have done all the things directed you, say -- We are unprofitable servants, because that which we owed to do -- we have done.'
17:11And it came to pass, in his going on to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee,
17:12and he entering into a certain village, there met him ten leprous men, who stood afar off,
17:13and they lifted up the voice, saying, `Jesus, master, deal kindly with us;'
17:14and having seen `them', he said to them, `Having gone on, shew yourselves to the priests;' and it came to pass, in their going, they were cleansed,
17:15and one of them having seen that he was healed did turn back, with a loud voice glorifying God,
17:16and he fell upon `his' face at his feet, giving thanks to him, and he was a Samaritan.
17:17And Jesus answering said, `Were not the ten cleansed, and the nine -- where?
17:18There were not found who did turn back to give glory to God, except this alien;'
17:19and he said to him, `Having risen, be going on, thy faith hath saved thee.'
17:20And having been questioned by the Pharisees, when the reign of God doth come, he answered them, and said, `The reign of God doth not come with observation;
17:21nor shall they say, Lo, here; or lo, there; for lo, the reign of God is within you.'
17:22And he said unto his disciples, `Days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and ye shall not behold `it';
17:23and they shall say to you, Lo, here; or lo, there; ye may not go away, nor follow;
17:24for as the lightning that is lightening out of the one `part' under heaven, to the other part under heaven doth shine, so shall be also the Son of Man in his day;
17:25and first it behoveth him to suffer many things, and to be rejected by this generation.
17:26`And, as it came to pass in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man;
17:27they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were given in marriage, till the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the deluge came, and destroyed all;
17:28in like manner also, as it came to pass in the days of Lot; they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building;
17:29and on the day Lot went forth from Sodom, He rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed all.
17:30`According to these things it shall be, in the day the Son of Man is revealed;
17:31in that day, he who shall be on the house top, and his vessels in the house, let him not come down to take them away; and he in the field, in like manner, let him not turn backward;
17:32remember the wife of Lot.
17:33Whoever may seek to save his life, shall lose it; and whoever may lose it, shall preserve it.
17:34`I say to you, In that night, there shall be two men on one couch, the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left;
17:35two women shall be grinding at the same place together, the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left;
17:36two men shall be in the field, the one shall be taken, and the other left.'
17:37And they answering say to him, `Where, sir?' and he said to them, `Where the body `is', there will the eagles be gathered together.'

17:1Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
17:2It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
17:3Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
17:4And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
17:5And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
17:6And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
17:7But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?
17:8And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
17:9Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.
17:10So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
17:11And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
17:12And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
17:13And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
17:14And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
17:15And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
17:16And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17:17And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
17:18There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
17:19And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
17:20And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
17:21Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
17:22And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
17:23And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
17:24For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
17:25But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
17:26And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
17:27They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
17:28Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
17:29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
17:30Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
17:31In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
17:32Remember Lot's wife.
17:33Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
17:34I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
17:35Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
17:36Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
17:37And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

17:1And He said to the disciples, It is impossible that the offenses should not come, but woe to him by whom they come!
17:2It is profitable for him if a millstone turned by an ass is put around his neck, and he be thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
17:3Take heed to yourselves. And if your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.
17:4And if seven times of the day he sins against you, and seven times of the day turns to you saying, I repent, you shall forgive him.
17:5And the apostles said to the Lord, Give us more faith.
17:6But the Lord said, If you had faith as a grain of mustard, you may say to this sycamine tree, Be rooted up and be planted in the sea! And it would obey you.
17:7But which of you having a slave plowing or feeding will say at once to him coming out of the field, Come, recline?
17:8But will he not say to him, Prepare something what I may eat, and having girded yourself, serve me until I eat and drink, and after these things you shall eat and drink?
17:9Does he have thanks to that slave because he did the things commanded of him? I think not.
17:10So also when you have done all things commanded you, you say, We are unprofitable slaves, for we have done what we ought to do.
17:11And it happened in His going to Jerusalem even He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
17:12And He entering into a certain village, ten leprous men met Him, who stood afar off.
17:13And they lifted their voice, saying, Jesus, Master, pity us.
17:14And seeing them , He said to them, Going, show yourselves to the priests. And it happened in their going they were cleansed.
17:15And one of them, seeing that he was cured, returned glorifying God with a loud voice.
17:16And he fell on his face at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan.
17:17And answering, Jesus said, Were not the ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
17:18Were not any found returning to give glory to God except this foreigner?
17:19And He said to him, Rising up, go! Your faith has cured you.
17:20And being questioned by the Pharisees as to when the kingdom of God comes, He answered them and said, The kingdom of God does not come with observation;
17:21nor will they say, Lo, here! Or, Lo, there! For behold the kingdom of God is in your midst.
17:22And He said to the disciples, Days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of man, and will not see.
17:23And they will say to you, Lo, here! Or, Lo, there! Do not go away, nor follow.
17:24For as the lightning which lights up, flashing from the one part under heaven and shines to the other part under heaven, so also will the Son of man be in His day.
17:25But first He must suffer many things and be rejected from this generation.
17:26And as it was in the days of Noah, so also it will be in the days of the Son of man.
17:27They were eating, drinking, marrying, giving in marriage, until the day Noah went into the ark. And the flood came and destroyed all.
17:28And likewise, as it was in the days of Lot, they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building;
17:29but on the day Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from the heaven and destroyed all.
17:30Even so it will be in the day the Son of man is revealed.
17:31In that day, he who will be on the housetop, let him not come down to take his goods from the house. And likewise, he in the field, let him not return to the things behind.
17:32Remember Lot's wife.
17:33Whoever seeks to save his life, he will lose it. And whoever will lose it, he will preserve it.
17:34I say to you, In that night two will be on one bed; the one will be taken and the other will be left.
17:35Two will be grinding together; one will be taken and the other will be left.
17:36Two will be in the field; the one will be taken and the other will be left.
17:37And answering, they said to Him, Where, Lord? And He said to them, Where the body is , there the eagles will be gathered together.
