| 19:7 | And whanne alle men sayn, thei grutchiden seiynge, For he hadde turned to a synful man. |
| 19:8 | But Sache stood, and seide to the Lord, Lo! Lord, Y yyue the half of my good to pore men; and if Y haue ony thing defraudid ony man, Y yelde foure so myche. |
| 19:9 | Jhesus seith to hym, For to dai heelthe is maad to this hous, for that he is Abrahams sone; |
| 19:10 | for mannus sone cam to seke, and make saaf that thing that perischide. |
| 19:11 | Whanne thei herden these thingis, he addide, and seide a parable, for that he was nyy Jerusalem, `and for thei gessiden, that anoon the kyngdom of God schulde be schewid. |
| 19:12 | Therfor he seide, A worthi man wente in to a fer cuntre, to take to hym a kyngdom, and to turne ayen. |
| 19:13 | And whanne hise ten seruauntis weren clepid, he yaf to hem ten besauntis; and seide to hem, Chaffare ye, til Y come. |
| 19:14 | But hise citeseyns hatiden hym, and senten a messanger aftir hym, and seiden, We wolen not, that he regne on vs. |
| 19:15 | And it was don, that he turnede ayen, whan he hadde take the kyngdom; and he comaundide hise seruauntis to be clepid, to whiche he hadde yyue monei, to wite, hou myche ech hadde wonne bi chaffaryng. |
| 19:16 | And the firste cam, and seide, Lord, thi besaunt hath wonne ten besauntis. |
| 19:17 | He seide to hym, Wel be, thou good seruaunt; for in litil thing thou hast be trewe, thou schalt be hauynge power on ten citees. |
| 19:18 | And the tother cam, and seide, Lord, thi besaunt hath maad fyue besauntis. |
| 19:19 | And to this he seide, And be thou on fyue citees. |
| 19:20 | And the thridde cam, and seide, Lord, lo! thi besaunt, that Y hadde, put vp in a sudarie. |
| 19:21 | For Y dredde thee, for thou art `a sterne man; thou takist awey that that thou settidist not, and thou repist that that thou hast not sowun. |
| 19:22 | He seith to hym, Wickid seruaunt, of thi mouth Y deme thee. Wistist thou, that Y am `a sterne man, takynge awei that thing that Y settide not, and repyng ethat thing that Y sewe not? |
| 19:23 | and whi hast thou not youun my money to the bord, and Y comynge schulde haue axid it with vsuris? |
| 19:24 | And he seide to men stondynge nyy, Take ye awei fro hym the besaunt, and yyue ye to hym that hath ten beyauntis: |
| 19:25 | And thei seiden to hym, Lord, he hath ten besauntis. |
| 19:26 | And Y seie to you, to ech man that hath, it schal be youun, and he schal encreese; but fro him that hath not, also that thing that he hath, schal be takun of hym. |
| 19:27 | Netheles brynge ye hidur tho myn enemyes, that wolden not that Y regnede on hem, and sle ye bifor me. |
| 19:28 | And whanne these thingis weren seid, he wente bifore, and yede vp to Jerusalem. |
| 19:29 | And it was don, whanne Jhesus cam nyy to Bethfage and Betanye, at the mount, that is clepid of Olyuete, he sente hise twei disciplis, and seide, |
| 19:30 | Go ye in to the castel, that is ayens you; in to which as ye entren, ye schulen fynde a colt of an asse tied, on which neuer man sat; vntye ye hym, and brynge ye to me. |
| 19:31 | And if ony man axe you, whi ye vntien, thus ye schulen seie to hym, For the Lord desirith his werk. |
| 19:32 | And thei that weren sent, wenten forth, and fonden as he seide to hem, a colt stondynge. |
| 19:33 | And whanne thei vntieden the colt, the lordis of hym seiden to hem, What vntien ye the colt? |
| 19:34 | And thei seiden, For the Lord hath nede to hym. |
| 19:35 | And thei ledden hym to Jhesu; and thei castynge her clothis on the colt, setten Jhesu on hym. |
| 19:36 | And whanne he wente, thei strowiden her clothis in the weie. |
| 19:37 | And whanne he cam nyy to the comyng doun of the mount of Olyuete, al the puple that cam doun bygunnen to ioye, and to herie God with greet vois on alle the vertues, that thei hadden sayn, |
| 19:38 | and seiden, Blessid be the king, that cometh in the name of the Lord; pees in heuene, and glorie in hiye thingis. |
| 19:39 | And sum of the Farisees of the puple seiden to hym, Maister, blame thi disciplis. |
| 19:40 | And he seide to hem, Y seie to you, for if these ben stille, stoonus schulen crye. |
| 19:41 | And whanne he neiyede, `he seiy the citee, |
| 19:42 | and wepte on it, and seide, For if thou haddist knowun, thou schuldist wepe also; for in this dai the thingis ben in pees to thee, but now thei ben hid fro thin iyen. |
| 19:43 | But daies schulen come in thee, and thin enemyes schulen enuyroun thee with a pale, and thei schulen go aboute thee, and make thee streit on alle sidis, |
| 19:44 | and caste thee doun to the erthe, and thi sones that ben in thee; and thei schulen not leeue in thee a stoon on a stoon, for thou hast not knowun the tyme of thi visitacioun. |
| 19:45 | And he entride in to the temple, and bigan to caste out men sellynge ther inne and biynge, |
| 19:46 | and seide to hem, It is writun, That myn hous is an hous of preyer, but ye han maad it a den of theues. |
| 19:47 | And he was techynge euerydai in the temple. And the princis of prestis, and the scribis, and the princis of the puple souyten to lese hym; |
| 19:48 | and thei founden not, what thei schulden do to hym, for al the puple was ocupied, and herde hym. |
| 19:1 | And he entred in and went thorow Hierico. |
| 19:2 | And beholde ther was a ma named Zacheus which was a ruler amoge the Publicans and was riche also. |
| 19:3 | And he made meanes to se Iesus what he shuld be: and coulde not for the preace because he was of a lowe stature. |
| 19:4 | Wherfore he ran before and asceded vp into a wilde fygge tree to se him: for he shulde come that same waye. |
| 19:5 | And when Iesus cam to the place he loked vp and sawe him and sayd vnto him: zache attonce come doune for to daye I must abyde at thy housse. |
| 19:6 | And he came doune hastelye and receaved him ioyfully. |
| 19:7 | And when they sawe that they all groudged sayinge: He is gone in to tary with a man that is a synner. |
| 19:8 | And zache stode forth and sayd vnto ye Lorde: beholde Lorde ye haulfe of my gooddes I geve to the povre and if I have done eny ma wroge I will restore him fower folde. |
| 19:9 | And Iesus sayd to him: this daye is healthe come vnto this housse for as moche as it also is become the chylde of Abraha. |
| 19:10 | For the sonne of ma is come to seke and to save that which was looste. |
| 19:11 | As they hearde these thinges he added ther to a similitude be cause he was nye to Hierusalem and because also they thought that the kyngdome of God shuld shortely appere. |
| 19:12 | He sayde therfore: a certayne noble man wet into a farre countre to receave him a kyngdome and then to come agayne. |
| 19:13 | And he called his ten servauntes and delyvered them ten pounde sayinge vnto them: by and sell till I come. |
| 19:14 | But his citesens hated him and sent messengers after him sayinge: We will not have this man to raygne over vs. |
| 19:15 | And it came to passe when he was come agayne and had receaved his kyngdome he comaunded these servautes to be called to him (to whom he gave his money) to witt what every man had done. |
| 19:16 | Then came ye fyrst sayinge: Lorde thy pounde hath encreased ten poude. |
| 19:17 | And he sayde vnto him: Well good servaute because thou wast faithfull in a very lytell thynge take thou auctorite over ten cities. |
| 19:18 | And the other came sayinge: Lorde thy poude hath encreased fyve pounde. |
| 19:19 | And to ye same he sayde: and be thou also ruler ouer fyve cities. |
| 19:20 | And the thyrde came and sayde: Lorde beholde here thy pounde which I have kepte in a napkyn |
| 19:21 | for I feared the because thou arte a strayte man: thou takest vp that thou laydest not doune and repest that thou dyddest not sowe. |
| 19:22 | And he sayde vnto him: Of thine awne mouth iudge I the thou evyll servaunt. knewest thou that I am a strayte man takinge vp that I layde not doune and repinge that I dyd not sowe? |
| 19:23 | Wherfore then gavest not thou my money into the banke that at my cominge I might have required myne awne with vauntage? |
| 19:24 | And he sayde to them that stode by: take fro him that pounde and geve it him that hath ten poude. |
| 19:25 | And they sayd vnto him: Lorde he hath ten pounde. |
| 19:26 | I saye vnto you that vnto all the that have it shalbe geve: and from him yt hath not eve that he hath shalbe taken from him. |
| 19:27 | Moreover those myne enemys which wolde not that I shuld raigne over them bringe hidder and slee them before me. |
| 19:28 | And when he had thus spoken he proceded forthe before a ssendinge vp to Ierusalem. |
| 19:29 | And it fortuned when he was come nye to Bethphage and Bethany besydes moute olivete he sent two of his disciples |
| 19:30 | sayinge: Goo ye in to the toune which is over agaynste you. In the which assone as ye are come ye shall finde a colte tyed wheron yet never man sate. Lowse him and bringe him hider. |
| 19:31 | And if eny man axe you why that ye loowse him: thus saye vnto him ye lorde hath nede of him. |
| 19:32 | They that were sent went their waye and founde eve as he had sayde vnto the. |
| 19:33 | And as they were aloosinge ye coolte the owners sayde vnto the: why lowse ye ye coolte? |
| 19:34 | And they sayde: for ye Lorde hath nede of him. |
| 19:35 | And they brought him to Iesus. And they cast their raymet on ye colte and set Iesus thero. |
| 19:36 | And as he wet they spredde their clothes in ye waye. |
| 19:37 | And when he was now come wheare he shuld goo doune fro the moute olivete ye whole multitude of ye disciples began to reioyce and to lawde God with a loude voyce for all ye miracles yt they had sene |
| 19:38 | sayinge: Blessed be the kynge that cometh in the name of the Lorde: peace in heave and glory in the hyest. |
| 19:39 | And some of ye Pharises of the copany sayde vnto him: Master rebuke thy disciples. |
| 19:40 | He answered and sayde vnto the: I tell you yf these shuld holde their peace the stones wold crye. |
| 19:41 | And when he was come neare he behelde the citie and wept on it |
| 19:42 | sayinge: Yf thou haddest dest knowen those thinges which belonge vn thy peace eve at this thy tyme. But now are they hydde from thyne eyes. |
| 19:43 | For the dayes shall come vpo the that thy enemys shall cast a banke aboute the and copasse the rounde and kepe the in on every syde |
| 19:44 | and make the even with the grounde with thy chyldren which are in the. And they shall not leve in the one stone vpo another because thou knewest not the tyme of thy visitacion. |
| 19:45 | And he went in to the temple and begane to cast out them that solde therin and them that bought |
| 19:46 | sayinge vnto them yt is written: my housse is the housse of prayer: but ye have made it a den of theves. |
| 19:47 | And he taught dayly in the temple. The hye Prestes and the Scribes and the chefe of the people went about to destroye him: |
| 19:48 | but coulde not finde what to do. For all the people stacke by him and gave him audience. |

| 19:17 | And he sayde vnto him: Well thou good seruaut, for so moch as thou hast bene faithfull in the least, thou shalt haue auctorite ouer ten cities. |
| 19:18 | The seconde came also, and sayde: Syr, thy pounde hath wonne fyue pounde. |
| 19:19 | And to him he sayde: And thou shalt be ouer fyue cities. |
| 19:20 | And ye thirde came, and sayde: Lo syr, here is thy pounde, which I haue kepte in a napkyn. |
| 19:21 | I was afrayed of the, for thou art an harde man, thou takest vp yt thou hast not layed downe, and reapest that thou hast not sowne. |
| 19:22 | He sayde vnto him: Of thine awne mouth iudge I the thou euell seruaunt. Knewest thou thou that I am an harde man, takynge vp that I layde not downe, and reapynge that I dyd not sowe? |
| 19:23 | Wherfore then hast thou not delyuered my money to the exchaunge banke? And at my commynge might I haue requyred myne awne with vauntage? |
| 19:24 | And he sayde vnto them that stode by: Take ye pounde from him, and geue it vnto him that hath ten pounde. |
| 19:25 | And they sayde vnto him: Syr, he hath ten pounde already. |
| 19:26 | But I saye vnto you: Whosoeuer hath, vnto him shal be geue: but from him that hath not, shal be taken awaye euen that he hath. |
| 19:27 | As for those myne enemies, which wolde not that I shulde raigne ouer them, bringe them hither, and slaye them before me. |
| 19:28 | And whan he had thus sayde, he wete on forwarde, and toke his iourney vp to Ierusalem. |

| 19:32 | And they that were sent, wete their waye and founde euen as he had sayde. |
| 19:33 | But wha they lowsed ye foale; the owners therof sayde vnto the: Why lowse ye the foale? |
| 19:34 | They sayde: The LORDE hath nede therof. |
| 19:35 | And they brought it vnto Iesus, and cast their clothes vpo the foale, and set Iesus theron. |
| 19:36 | Now as he wente, they spred their garmentes in the waye. |
| 19:37 | And whan he wete downe fro mount Oliuete, ye whole multitude of his disciples begane ioyfully to prayse God with loude voyce, ouer all the miracles that they had sene, |
| 19:38 | and sayde: Blessed be he, that cometh a kynge in the name of the LORDE. Peace be in heauen, and prayse in the height. |

| 19:46 | and sayde vnto them: It is wrytten: My house is an house of prayer, but ye haue made it a denne of murthurers. |
| 19:47 | And he taught daylie in the teple. But the hye prestes and the scrybes and the chefest of ye people wente aboute to destroye him, |
| 19:48 | and founde not, what to do vnto him. For all the people stacke by him, and gaue him audience. |
