Luke - Chapter: 21

>
21:1And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
21:2And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
21:3And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:
21:4For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
21:5And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,
21:6As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
21:7And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?
21:8And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
21:9But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
21:10Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
21:11And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
21:12But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
21:13And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
21:14Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
21:15For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
21:16And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
21:17And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
21:18But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
21:19In your patience possess ye your souls.
21:20And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21:21Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
21:22For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
21:23But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
21:24And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
21:25And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
21:26Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
21:27And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
21:28And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
21:29And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
21:30When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
21:31So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
21:32Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
21:33Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
21:34And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
21:35For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
21:36Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
21:37And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.
21:38And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.

21:1And He looked up and saw the rich ones putting their gifts into the treasury,
21:2and He also saw a certain poor widow putting two mites in there.
21:3So He said, "Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than they all have;"
21:4because, all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty has put in all the livelihood that she had."
21:5Then, as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and donations, He said,
21:6"As for these things which you see, the days will come in which not one stone will be left upon another that will not be thrown down."
21:7So they asked Him, saying, "Teacher, but when shall these things be? And what sign shall there be when these things are about to take place?"
21:8And He said: "Take heed that you be not be deceived. Because, many will come in My name, saying, 'I am Christ,' and, 'The time has drawn near.' Therefore do not go after them."
21:9But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; because, these things must happen first, but the end is not yet."
21:10Then He said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom."
21:11And there will be large earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven."
21:12But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and into prisons; being brought before kings and rulers for My name's sake."
21:13But it will turn out for you as a testimony."
21:14Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer;"
21:15because, I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist."
21:16But you will be betrayed also by parents and brethren, relatives and friends; and some of you they will cause to be put to death."
21:17And you will be hated by all people for My name's sake."
21:18But not a hair of your head will perish."
21:19By your endurance you possess your souls."
21:20"But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near."
21:21Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of it depart out, and let not those who are in the country enter into it."
21:22Because these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled."
21:23But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babes in those days! Because there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people."
21:24And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."
21:25"And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;"
21:26men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, because the powers of heaven will be shaken."
21:27And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory."
21:28Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."
21:29Then He spoke to them a parable: "Look at the fig tree, and all the trees."
21:30When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near."
21:31So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near."
21:32Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all things take place."
21:33Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away."
21:34"But take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be weighed down with over indulgence, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that Day come upon you unexpectedly."
21:35Because, it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the entire earth."
21:36Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man."
21:37And in the daytime He was teaching in the temple, but at night He went out and stayed on the mount that is called The Mount of Olives.
21:38Then early in the morning all the people came to Him in the temple to hear Him.

21:1As he behelde he sawe the ryche men how they cast in their offeringes into the treasury.
21:2And he sawe also a certayne povre widdowe which cast in thyther two mites.

21:7And they axed him sayinge: Master whe shall these thinges be and what signe will therbe whe suche thinges shall come to passe.
21:8And he sayd: take hede that ye be not deceaved. For many will come in my name saying: I am he: and the tyme draweth neare. Folowe ye not them therfore.
21:9But when ye heare of warre and of dissencion: be not afrayd. For these thinges must fyrst come: but the ende foloweth not by and by.

21:13And this shall chaunce you for a testimoniall.
21:14Let it sticke therfore faste in youre hertes not once to stody before what ye shall answere:
21:15for I will geve you a mouth and wisdome where agaynste all youre adversarys shall not be able to speake nor resist.
21:16Ye and ye shalbe betrayed of youre fathers and mothers and of youre brethren and kynsmen and lovers aud some of you shall they put to deeth.
21:17And hated shall ye be of all men for my names sake.
21:18Yet ther shall not one heer of youre heedes perisshe.
21:19With youre pacience possesse youre soules.
21:20 And when ye se Ierusalem beseged with an hoste then vnderstonde that the desolacio of the same is nye.
21:21Then let them which are in Iewrye flye to the mountaynes. And let them which are in the middes of it departe oute. And let not them that are in other countreis enter ther in.
21:22For these be the dayes of vengeance to fulfill all that are writte.
