| 14:1 | And it fortuned in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagoge of the Iewes, and so spake that a greate multitude bothe of the Iewes, and also of the grekes beleued. |
| 14:2 | But the vnbeleuynge Iewes stered vp, and vnquieted the myndes of the gentyls agaynst the brethren. |
| 14:3 | Long tyme abode they there, and quyt them selues boldely with the helpe of the Lorde, which gaue testimonye vnto the worde of hys grace, & caused signes and wondres to be done by theyr handes. |
| 14:4 | The people of the citie were deuyded: and parte helde with the Iewes, and parte wt the Apostles. |
| 14:5 | When there was a sault made both of the gentyls, and also of the Iewes with theyr rulars, to put them to shame and to stone them, |
| 14:6 | they were ware of it, and fled vnto Lystra & Darba, cities of Lycaonia, and vnto the regyon that lyeth rounde aboute, |
| 14:7 | and there preached the Gospel. |
| 14:8 | And there sate a certayne man at Listra weake in hys fete, beyng creple from hys mothers wombe, and neuer walked. |
| 14:9 | The same hearde Paule preache. Whiche behelde hym, and perceyued that he had faythe to be whole, |
| 14:10 | and sayed with a loude voyce stande vpryght on the fete. And he sterte vp, & walked. |
| 14:11 | And when the people sawe, what Paule had done, they lyfte vp theyr voyces, saiynge in the speache of Lycaonia: Goddes are come doune to vs in the lykenes of men. |
| 14:12 | And they called Barnabas Iupiter and Paul Mercurius, because he was the preacher. |
| 14:13 | Then Iupiters prieste whiche dwelte before theyr citie, brought oxen and garlandes to the churche porche, and woulde haue done sacrifice with the people. |
| 14:14 | But when the Apostles Barnabas & Paul hearde that, they rent theyr clothes, and ran in amonge the people, criynge, |
| 14:15 | and saiynge: Syrs why do ye thys? We are mortall men lyke vnto you, and preache vnto you, that ye shoulde turne from these vanities vnto the liuynge God, which made heauen and earthe and the sea, and all that in them is: |
| 14:16 | the whiche in tymes paste suffered all nacyons to walke in theyr owne wayes. |
| 14:17 | Neuerthelesse he lefte not hym selfe without wytnes, in that he shewed hys benefytes, in geuynge vs rayne from heauen, and fruteful ceasons, fyllyng our hertes with fode and gladnes. |
| 14:18 | And with these saiynges scace refrayned they the people that they had not done sacrifyce vnto them. |
| 14:19 | Thyther came certayne Iewes from Antioche and Iconium, and obtayned the peoples consent, and stoned Paul, and drewe him out of the citie, supposyng he had bene dead. |
| 14:20 | Howbeit as the disciples stode rounde about him, he arose vp, and came into the citie. And the next daye, he departed with Barnabas to Derba. |
| 14:21 | After they had preached to that citie, and had taughte manye, they returned agayne to Lystra, and to Iconium and Antioche, |
| 14:22 | and strengthed the disciples soules exhortynge them to continue in the faith, affyrmyng that we must thorowe muche tribulacion enter into the kingdome of God. |
| 14:23 | And when they had ordeyned them elders by election in euery congregacion, and after they had prayed and fasted, they commended them to God on whom they beleued. |
| 14:24 | And they wente thorowout Pisidia and came into Pamphilia, |
| 14:25 | and when they had preached the worde of God in Perga, they descended into Attalia, |
| 14:26 | and thence departed by shyppe to Antioche, from whence they were delyuered vnto the grace of god, to the worke which they had fulfylled. |
| 14:27 | When they were come & had gathered the congregation together, they rehearsed all that God had done by them, and how he had opened the dore of fayth to the gentyls. |
| 14:28 | And there they abode longe tyme with the discyples. |

| 14:8 | Nowe there sate a certaine man at Lystra, impotent in his feete, which was a creeple from his mothers wombe, who had neuer walked. |
| 14:9 | He heard Paul speake: who beholding him, and perceiuing that he had faith to be healed, |
| 14:10 | Said with a loude voyce, Stand vpright on thy feete. And he leaped vp, and walked. |
| 14:11 | Then when the people sawe what Paul had done, they lift vp their voyces, saying in ye speach of Lycaonia, Gods are come downe to vs in the likenesse of men. |
| 14:12 | And they called Barnabas, Iupiter: and Paul, Mercurius, because hee was the chiefe speaker. |
| 14:13 | Then Iupiters priest, which was before their citie, brought bulles with garlands vnto the gates, and would haue sacrificed with the people. |
| 14:14 | But when the Apostles, Barnabas and Paul heard it, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying, |
| 14:15 | And saying, O men, why doe yee these things? We are euen men subiect to the like passions that yee be, and preache vnto you, that yee shoulde turne from these vaine things vnto the liuing God, which made heauen and earth, and the sea, and all things that in them are: |
| 14:16 | Who in times past suffered all the Gentiles to walke in their owne waies. |
| 14:17 | Neuerthelesse, hee left not him selfe without witnes, in that hee did good and gaue vs raine from heauen, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with foode, and gladnesse. |
| 14:18 | And speaking these things, scarce appeased they the multitude, that they had not sacrificed vnto them. |
| 14:19 | Then there came certaine Iewes from Antiochia and Iconium, which when they had persuaded the people, stoned Paul, and drewe him out of the citie, supposing he had bene dead. |
| 14:20 | Howbeit, as the disciples stoode rounde about him, hee arose vp, and came into the citie, and the next day hee departed with Barnabas to Derbe. |
| 14:21 | And after they had preached the glad tidings of the Gospel to that citie, and had taught many, they returned to Lystra, and to Iconium, and to Antiochia, |
| 14:22 | Confirming the disciples hearts, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, affirming that we must through many afflictions enter into the kingdome of God. |
| 14:23 | And when they had ordeined them Elders by election in euery Church, and prayed, and fasted, they commended them to the Lord in whome they beleeued. |
| 14:24 | Thus they went throughout Pisidia, and came to Pamphylia. |
