Romans - Chapter: 13

>
13:1Let euery soule submit him selfe vnto the authoritie of the hygher powers. For there is no power but of God.
13:2The powers that be are ordeyned of God. Whosoeuer therfore resisteth power, resisteth the ordinaunce of GOD. And they that resiste, shall receyue to them selfe damnacyon.
13:3For rulars are not to be feared for good workes, but for euyll. Wylte thou be wyth oute feare of the power? Do well then: and so shalte thou be praysed of the same.
13:4For he is the minister of GOD, for thy welth. But and yf thou do euyll, then feare: for he beareth not a swearde for noughte, but is the minister of God, to take vengeaunce on them that do euyll.
13:5Wherfore ye muste nedes obeye, not for feare of vengeaunce onelye, but also because of conscience.
13:6And euen for thys cause paye ye trybute. For they are Goddes ministers, seruynge for the same purpose.
13:7Geue to euerye man therfore hys dutye: Tribute to whom trybute belongeth: Custome to whom custome is due: feare to whome feare belongeth: Honoure to whom honoure pertayneth.
13:8Owe nothynge to anye man: but to loue one another. For he that loueth another, fulfylleth the lawe.
13:9For these commaundementes Thou shalte not commyt aduoutrye: Thou shalte not kyll: Thou shalt not steale: Thou shalte not beare false wytnesse: Thou shalte not desyre: and so forth (yf there be anye other commaundente) they are all comprehended in thys saiynge: Loue thyne neyghboure as thy selfe.
13:10Loue hurteth not hys neyghbour. Therfore is loue the fulfyllynge of the lawe.
13:11Thys also we knowe, I meane the season, howe that it is tyme, that we should now awake oute of slepe. For nowe is oure saluacyon nearer, then when we beleued.
13:12The night is passed, and the day is come ny. Let vs therfore caste awaye the dedes of darcknes, & let vs put on the Armoure of lyghte.
13:13Let vs walke honestlye as it were in the daye lyght: not in eatynge and drynkynge: neyther in chamburynge and wantonnes, neyther in stryfe & enuiynge:
13:14but put ye on the Lorde Iesus Christ. And make not prouysyon for the fleshe, to fulfyll the lustes of it.

13:1Let euery soule be subiect vnto the hyer powers: For there is no power but of god. The powers that be, are ordeyned of God.
13:2Whosoeuer therfore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinaunce of God: And they that resist, shall receaue to the selues dampnation.
13:3For rulers are not fearefull to good workes, but to the euyll. Wylt thou not feare the power? Do well, and thou shalt haue prayse of the same.
13:4For he is the minister of God for thy wealth. But yf thou do euyll, feare: For he beareth not the sworde in vayne, for he is the minister of God, reuenger of wrath on hym that doth euyll.
13:5Wherfore, ye must needes be subiect, not only for feare of punishment: but also because of conscience.
13:6And for this cause pay ye tribute. For they are Gods ministers, seruyng for the same purpose.
13:7Geue to euery man therfore his dutie, tribute to whom tribute, custome to whom custome, feare to whom feare, honour to whom honour [belongeth.]
13:8Owe nothyng to no man, but to loue one another: (For he that loueth another, hath fulfylled the lawe.
13:9For this: Thou shalt not commit adultrie, thou shalt not kyll, thou shalt not steale, thou shalt not beare false witnesse, thou shalt not lust: and yf there be any other commaundement, it is comprehended in this saying: Namelye, Thou shalt loue thy neighbour as thy selfe.
13:10Charitie worketh no yll to his neyghbour, therfore the fulfyllyng of the lawe is charitie.)
13:11And chiefely consideryng the season, howe that it is tyme that we shoulde nowe awake out of slepe: For nowe is our saluation nearer, then when we beleued.
13:12The nyght is passed, the day is come nye. Let vs therfore caste away the deedes of darknesse, & let vs put on the armour of lyght.
13:13Let vs walke honestly as in the day, not in riotyng & dronkennesse, neither in chaumberyng & wantonnesse, neither in strife and enuying.
13:14But put ye on ye Lorde Iesus Christe. And make not prouision for the fleshe, to the lustes [therof.]

13:1Let every soul be subject to the higher powers. For there is no power but from God: the powers that are, are ordained by God.
13:2Whoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
13:3For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power; do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise from the same:
13:4For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou doest that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, an avenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
13:5Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
13:6For, for this cause ye pay tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
13:7Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.
13:8Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
13:9For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there is any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
13:10Love worketh no ill to one's neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
13:11And this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
13:12The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
13:13Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
13:14But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the lusts of flesh.
