Romans - Chapter: 15

>
15:1But we saddere men owen to susteyne the feblenesses of sijke men, and not plese to vs silf.
15:2Eche of vs plese to his neiybore in good, to edificacioun.
15:3For Crist pleside not to hym silf, as it is writun, The repreues of men dispisynge thee, felden on me.
15:4For what euere thingis ben writun, tho ben writun to oure techynge, that bi pacience and coumfort of scripturis we haue hope.
15:5But God of pacience and of solace yyue to you to vndurstonde the same thing, ech in to othere aftir Jhesu Crist,
15:6that ye of o wille with o mouth worschipe God and the fadir of oure Lord Jhesu Crist.
15:7For which thing take ye togidere, as also Crist took you in to the onour of God.
15:8For Y seie, that Jhesu Crist was a mynystre of circumcisioun for the treuthe of God, to conferme the biheestis of fadris.
15:9And hethene men owen to onoure God for merci; as it is writun, Therfor, Lord, Y schal knowleche to thee among hethene men, and Y schal synge to thi name.
15:10And eft he seith, Ye hethene men, be ye glad with his puple.
15:11And eft, Alle hethene men, herie ye the Lord; and alle puplis, magnefie ye hym.
15:12And eft Isaie seith, Ther schal be a roote of Jesse, that schal rise vp to gouerne hethene men, and hethene men schulen hope in hym.
15:13And God of hope fulfille you in al ioye and pees in bileuynge, that ye encrees in hope and vertu of the Hooli Goost.
15:14And, britheren, Y my silf am certeyn of you, that also ye ben ful of loue, and ye ben fillid with al kunnyng, so that ye moun moneste ech other.
15:15And, britheren, more boldli Y wroot to you a parti, as bryngynge you in to mynde, for the grace that is youun to me of God,
15:16that Y be the mynystre of Crist Jhesu among hethene men. And Y halewe the gospel of God, that the offryng of hethene men be acceptid, and halewid in the Hooli Goost.
15:17Therfor Y haue glorie in Crist Jhesu to God.
15:18For Y dar not speke ony thing of tho thingis, whiche Crist doith not bi me, in to obedience of hethene men, in word and dedis,
15:19in vertu of tokenes and grete wondris, in vertu of the Hooli Goost, so that fro Jerusalem bi cumpas to the Illirik see Y haue fillid the gospel of Crist.
15:20And so Y haue prechid this gospel, not where Crist was named, lest Y bilde vpon anotheres ground, but as it is writun,
15:21For to whom it is not teld of him, thei schulen se, and thei that herden not, schulen vndurstonde.
15:22For which thing Y was lettid ful myche to come to you, and Y am lettid to this tyme.
15:23And now Y haue not ferthere place in these cuntrees, but Y haue desire to come to you, of many yeris that ben passid.
15:24Whanne Y bygynne to passe in to Spayne, Y hope that in my goyng Y schal se you, and of you Y schal be led thidur, if Y vse you first in parti.
15:25Therfor now Y schal passe forth to Jerusalem, to mynystre to seyntis.
15:26For Macedonye and Acaie han assaied to make sum yifte to pore men of seyntis, that ben in Jerusalem.
15:27For it pleside to hem, and thei ben dettouris of hem; for hethene men ben maad parteneris of her goostli thingis, thei owen also in fleischli thingis to mynystre to hem.
15:28Therfor whanne Y haue endid this thing, and haue asigned to hem this fruyt, Y schal passe bi you in to Spayne.
15:29And Y woot, that Y comynge to you, schal come `in to the abundaunce of the blessing of Crist.
15:30Therfor, britheren, Y biseche you bi oure Lord Jhesu Crist, and bi charite of the Hooli Goost, that ye helpe me in youre preyeris to the Lord,
15:31that Y be delyuerid fro the vnfeithful men, that ben in Judee, and that the offryng of my seruyce be acceptid in Jerusalem to seyntis;
15:32that Y come to you in ioye, bi the wille of God, and that Y be refreischid with you.
15:33God of pees be with you alle. Amen.

15:1We which are strong, ought to beare the infirmities of the weake, and not to please our selues.
15:2Therefore let euery man please his neighbour in that that is good to edification.
15:3For Christ also would not please himselfe, but as it is written, The rebukes of them which rebuke thee, fell on me.
15:4For whatsoeuer things are written aforetime, are writte for our learning, that we through patience, and comfort of the Scriptures might haue hope.
15:5Now the God of patience and consolation giue you that ye be like minded one towards another, according to Christ Iesus,
15:6That ye with one minde, and with one mouth may prayse God, euen the Father of our Lord Iesus Christ.
15:7Wherefore receiue ye one another, as Christ also receiued vs to the glory of God.
15:8Nowe I say, that Iesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision, for the trueth of God, to confirme the promises made vnto the fathers.
15:9And let the Gentiles prayse God, for his mercie, as it is written, For this cause I wil confesse thee among the Gentiles, and sing vnto thy Name.
15:10And againe he saith, Reioyce, ye Gentiles with his people.
15:11And againe, Prayse the Lord, all ye Gentiles, and laude ye him, all people together.
15:12And againe Esaias sayth, There shall be a roote of Iesse, and hee that shall rise to reigne ouer the Gentiles, in him shall the Gentiles trust.
15:13Nowe the God of hope fill you with all ioye, and peace in beleeuing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the holy Ghost.
15:14And I my selfe also am perswaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodnes, and filled with all knowledge, and are able to admonish one another.
15:15Neuerthelesse, brethren, I haue somewhat boldly after a sort written vnto you, as one that putteth you in remembrance, through the grace that is giuen me of God,
15:16That I should be the minister of Iesus Christ toward the Gentiles, ministring the Gospel of God, that the offering vp of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the holy Ghost.
15:17I haue therefore whereof I may reioyce in Christ Iesus in those things which pertaine to God.
15:18For I dare not speake of any thing, which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient in worde and deede,
15:19With the power of signes and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God: so that from Hierusalem, and round about vnto Illyricum, I haue caused to abound the Gospel of Christ.
15:20Yea, so I enforced my selfe to preach the Gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should haue built on another mans foundation.
15:21But as it is written, To whome hee was not spoken of, they shall see him, and they that heard not, shall vnderstand him.
15:22Therefore also I haue bene oft let to come vnto you:
15:23But nowe seeing I haue no more place in these quarters, and also haue bene desirous many yeeres agone to come vnto you,
15:24When I shall take my iourney into Spaine, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my iourney, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, after that I haue bene somewhat filled with your company.
15:25But now go I to Hierusalem, to minister vnto the Saints.
15:26For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia, to make a certaine distribution vnto the poore Saints which are at Hierusalem.
15:27For it hath pleased them, and their detters are they: for if the Gentiles be made partakers of their spirituall things, their duetie is also to minister vnto them in carnall things.
15:28When I haue therefore performed this, and haue sealed them this fruite, I will passe by you into Spaine.
15:29And I knowe when I come, that I shall come to you with abundance of the blessing of the Gospel of Christ.
15:30Also brethren, I beseeche you for our Lord Iesus Christes sake, and for the loue of the spirit, that ye would striue with me by prayers to God for me,
15:31That I may be deliuered from them which are disobedient in Iudea, and that my seruice which I haue to doe at Hierusalem, may be accepted of the Saintes,
15:32That I may come vnto you with ioy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.
15:33Thus the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

15:1We then who are strong ought to bear with the failures of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
15:2Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.
15:3Because, even Christ did not please Himself; but as it is written, "The reproaches of those who reproached You fell on Me."
15:4Because, whatever things were written beforehand were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.
15:5Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,
15:6that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15:7You therefore, receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.
15:8Now I say that Jesus Christ has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers,
15:9and that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy, as it is written: "For this reason I will confess to You among the Gentiles, and sing to Your name."
15:10And again he says: "Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people!"
15:11And again: "Praise the LORD, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you people!"
15:12And again, Isaiah says: "There will be a root of Jesse; and He who will rise to reign over the Gentiles, in Him the Gentiles will trust."
15:13Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
15:14Now I myself am persuaded concerning you, my brethren, that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
15:15Nevertheless, brethren, I have written more boldly to you on some points, as reminding you, because of the grace given to me by God,
15:16that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
15:17Therefore I have reason to glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.
15:18Because, I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient,
15:19in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
15:20Yes, so I have striven to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man's foundation,
15:21but as it is written: "To whom He was not announced, they will see; and those who have not heard will understand."
15:22For this reason I also have been often hindered from coming to you.
15:23But now no longer having a place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come to you,
15:24whenever I take my journey to Spain, I will come to you. Because, I hope to see you on my journey, and to be helped on my way there by you, once I have enjoyed your company for a while.
15:25But now I am going to Jerusalem to minister to the saints.
15:26Because, it pleased those from Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem.
15:27It has pleased them indeed, and they are their debtors. Because, if the Gentiles have been partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister to them in material things.
15:28Therefore, when I have performed this and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come via you into Spain.
15:29But I know that when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.
15:30Now I urge you, brethren, for the sake of the Lord Jesus Christ, and for the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in prayers to God for me,
15:31that I may be delivered from those in Judea who do not believe, and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted by the saints,
15:32that I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you.
15:33Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
